**(Waiting room)**
.
It was around 10 am, and Bennett had already finished his test around 15 minutes ago, now currently waiting for David to come out.
Currently, there were a few parents outside who were dressed quite nicely as they waited for their children to come out. Bennett who was already out couldn't help but be nervous seeing all of their expressions since he did want to pass the exam, the resources, and reputation of the academy were strong enough to even attract the prince's attention, not to mention him.
'Man... I need to go home... where is he!?' He complained while waiting for David.
*Creak...*
He turned his head and saw David who was walking out of his exam room scratching his head.
Running up to him, Bennett immediately started the conversation, "Hey! How'd you do? How long did you last? I lasted for around 3 minutes, what about you?" he flocked him.
"I don't want to talk about it... here at least." David dodged, looking at the parents around him who were currently looking at both David and Bennett.
"Come on, let's go, they're staring at us." David whispered to Bennett.
"Aww. Fine, we can talk about it in the carriage then!" Bennett grabbed his hand and dragged him to the carriage to share their experiences with each other, indifferent to the people who were staring at the two kids leaving.

**(Speaker's room)**
.
In a large meeting room, a round table occupying 6 'important' figures. There were a bunch of documents they were currently looking at, the recommended students. Behind the 6 figures, were their assistants who were currently reading out the performances of the students.
They had been currently assessing the first 200+ students who were recommended to the academy which had been going for a whole hour already.
The speaker, who was at the right of the table suddenly spoke, "How many were accepted and rejected?" he was clearly rejecting the person on the screen.
"Reporting... out of the 300 that are being tested, only 4 have been accepted, we still have to test the other 60 students. Everyone else did not make it." his assistant replied.
"Mn. For this year, make the cutoff number... 10 students maximum. We need quality, not quantity, any objections?" the speaker asked.
"No/None." replied the other 5 members.
"Judging from the first 4 that got in, you should know our expectations then, correct?" the person to the left of the table asked.
"Yes, we understand, Headmaster..." the assistants said in unison.
"Good, since everything is in order in terms of the recommended class, the meeting is adjourned!" the headmaster said.

**(In the carriage)**
.
"Alright, we can talk it now! Tell. Me. Everything!" Bennett said, shaking him.
"... Fine..." David sighed, and began telling him a short summary of what happened, including him defeating an instructor and getting beat by some expert for his exam.
"Wait, wait, wait! Why did it tell you that you didn't have to do your writing exam? I had to do it..." Bennett complained.
"Oh... did you refuse what mother gave you in the middle of the month?" David asked.
"No... yes..." Bennett lowered his head, speaking extremely quietly at the 'yes' part.
"That 'homework' you were suppose to do was to save you some trouble in the exam. After all, you are supposed to be a noble, meaning extra privileges." David shrugged.
"Oh... oh... that's why mother kept trying to convice me to do it." Bennett sulked, remembering all those times Sarah was even somewhat clining to him.
"Enough of the written exam, tell me about your experience... I already said mine after all." David pointed out.
"Well..." Bennett looked away from David's gaz =e and tapped his index fingers together.
"You got your butt beat didn't you?" David interupted.
"Hey! You could've at least let me make it a close fight!" Bennett crossed his arms and pouted angrily.
"Lies. No, but really... do explain what happened..." David stared at Bennett like he was trying to force some answers out of him.
"Alright! Just... don't stare at me like that!" Bennett blocked David's eyes with his left hand.
"Just start explaining..." David's brows twitched as he grabbed Bennett's hands, prompting him to take back his hand.
In summary...
Like David, Bennett had first arrived in the room with the speaker, table, chair and orb in front of him. Placing his hands onto the orb, it glowed a certain brown and red... with s small tint of cyan and blue, but it was so small that no one except the people behind the speaker saw it.
For his second exam, it was the 'horrifying' writting exam... which he most likely failed in as he did say something about guessing a good portion of it.
Now... for the combt part of the exam, he was up against an assassin. Due to the fact that Sarah and Ben were knights and magicians, he didn't get much experience fighting with a real assassin.
Basically, he actually did fend off the examiner first, but later on, as he was clashing, without him noticing, the examiner had 'poisioned' him, making him slowly deplete his stamina at such a rate to the point where he couldn't move after 4 minutes, leading to his defeat.
Since the requirement was most like around 3-4 minutes due to the fact that the other recommended students were also nobles, the the expectations should be risen a bit if he wanted to get in.
Back to the present...
"I see, well, I guess you could spar with other students when we become one of them?" David was actually interested in Bennett's examiner, feeling as if he was actually lucky that he didn't have to fight with such an annoying opponent.
"What?? Hmm... actually, you might be right. I wonder what we'll be doing tomorrow." Bennett muttered to himself.
"Tomorrow's the first day, we'll most likely be introducing ourselves to each other and touring the academy, blockhead." David was currently writing down everything that had happened in the battle he and Bennett had today.
"Wha? My head's round! Round!" Bennett shouted.
"Etiquette, brother." David ignored the stares the carriage was getting from Bennett's shout.
Bennett realized that he was out of line this time, and sat back in his seat, silent.
For the rest of the ride, it was silent, except for the sounds of writing constantly sounding for the entire ride back to the Vale household.
