Without any warning, David had covered the sword in lightning and dashed towards the examiner.

The examiner was surprised at his speed and quickly whispered {Earth Wall} as a short wall sprouted out of the ground, blocking David's charge.

Stopping like a car brake being furiously stomped on as if he was about to hit someone, David turned, only to see a fireball in his face.

Well... one advantage of his leveled up {No-Chant Master} was that leveling it up increased cast speed and increase mana release efficiency.

Nearly instantly, a mana shield was formed, blocking the brunt of the attack, pushing David back a bunch.

'As expected, mom and dad have been going very easy on me...' David was surprised at the examiner's strength.

Seeing that it was effective, the examiner smirked threw a few more fireballs which were now condensed, bringing a sense of panic to David, forcing him to dodge by dashing to the side.

"Come on, kid! You gotta at least try attacking me!" he taunted.

Gritting his teeth in slight frustration, David released a bit more mana into his surroundings, giving the examiner an instinctive feeling that he enraged someone he shouldn't have.

Seeing that he was stunned, David had rushed in for a quick win and swung his sword upward at him, "Try me..." he warned as he kicked himself off of the examiner's staff.

'Impressive! Seems like I need to get serious then.' the examiner started to prepare some extra spells.

The examiner's spells had reached a horrifying level as David finally reached the ground, only to see that the examiner had such a condensed spell that he needed to even place a barrier to control it.

David saw this, and began to quickly look for a weakness as such a spell with weakened gear, restraints, and weighted gear must've taken a toll, even for someone at tier 4.

Focusing and slowing his breathing, David calmed down and used his superior eyesight to see the unstable strands of mana gathering into the orb of compressed fire.

Sensing the most unstable part of the orb, he saw how even the examiner was slightly straining, yet also waiting for him to make a move.

'The hell man? I ain't coming close, even if it's unfinished, it's basically a fucking Rasengan!' David complained.

Since his overall sense in magic had improved and the examiner's senses have dulled as he did need to somewhat concentrate so he wouldn't hurt himself, he didn't notice the change of the ground below him.

Waiting for a few more moments, there was a small spark, making the examiner fight for control, 'Now!', from that David had already threw up an {Earth Spike}, piercing the examiner's hand and completely going through the orb as well.

Unexpectedly, the orb didn't explode, but instead, just deformed into a puddle of extremely hot lava as it burned a hole, 10 feet underground.

Groaning, the examiner, with his staff in hand, he swung it fiercely, creating pressure from the wind, throwing David back to the wall covering his face.

As he was still focused on the person in front of him, David could see how his examiner was already healing himself at a visible pace as the man shook his hand, leaving only a large scar on the back of his hand.

'Defeat? Seems almost impossible, but let's try it anyway then!' David's fighting spirit had been passionately lit, and he didn't realize how he even turned back to his original appearance, shocking the examiner.

(A/N: Slight berserk mode... gonna make that excuse for suddenly feeling new bones, muscles, and etc on you without snapping out of it... yeah, that'll work just fine!)

'No wonder I was so scared! A dragon demi-human... seems like it would be a reasonable fight even if I lost...' He thought. Dragons were actually quite famous for their strength of being able to fight with those as strong or even stronger than it and even come out on top.

David's tail was currently swinging behind him in excitement as he rushed towards the examiner, flapping his wings to pick up dust, blocking the examiner's vision.

Retracting his wings, David swiped the examiner with his tail and threw him onto the wall, and rushed towards him as he was being flung.

As usual, tier 4s really did have a body much stronger than any tier 3s, even if it was a magician. The examiner quickly tabbed his staff onto the ground only to see David right in front of him.

Throwing a palm at him, the examiner blocked it, but due to the weights, he really didn't get pushed back that much, only a few inches was all.

David swung his sword at him, the examiner's staff was slashed into two. Since it was broken into two, the examiner threw them at David, making him step back to dodge, giving him some distance to cast a few more spells.

"Not bad, kid!" He smiled in satisfaction, the 'recommended' students this year should be quite good, especially him.

David didn't reply as he returned to his stance, breaking into a fury of slashes using mana to reach the examiner.

As the examiner's staff was broken, his efficiency in using magic was weakened, but it was still much better than what David could do currently, even if he did have his monster body as the quality and quantity of the examiner and him were in two different realms.

He placed a mana shield in front of him, easily blocking the blue arcs of mana in front of him.

David had slowly closed in on the examiner, waiting for his mana shield to suffer a bit more so he could easily cut it into pieces before decapitating him.

As David continued to walk towards him and slash while releasing a fraction of his mana every time, the examiner was suffering from some extreme injuries as the shield begun to have some cracks in it.

Slowly but surely, a whole minute passed through as the examiner started to become desperate as he poured more and more mana into his mana shield as it was crumbling apart.

Suddenly, the shield had broken into small shards of transparent material as it crumbled to dust and flew away.

Taking advantage of this hard-earned chance, David ran to the examiner and made a clean cut to his neck. Unexpectedly, even though he was human, the thickness of his skin and body only pierced his neck enough for him to bleed out painfully with fully decapitating him.

Seeing him turn into light, David knew that he had passed the score, with most likely a full score at that, another door had opened up in front of him.

"Congratulations, student! You have beaten an instructor! Please enter the next room for a more accurate test! We will give you a 30-minute break to recuperate." the speaker announced.

Smiling, David had stumbled down, waiting for the thirty minutes as he looked at the interface in front of him with excitement.
