It was around 8 am when Bennett woke up. The only thing he heard after waking up was the sounds of movement outside.
"When did I have such sharp senses?" He pondered.
'The system?' It was plausible, after all, having a nearly omnipotent system does mean a lot.
Looking outside the window, he saw that David was outside, practicing with the sword in a basic stance.
David was currently wearing a black training outfit with white bracelets on his arms, waist, and legs. Because of the weighted gear coupled with how long David had started doing this, he was sweating all over as he repeatedly swung his sword in a downward motion.
The sword in David's hand was actually also made from his Earth element, which from using his {Magic Control}, he changed it into a long and heavy wooden training katana.
It was a good training idea, as it would've pushed the limit for a normal person, if not, even tear muscles, but for a monstery hybrid like him, he could adapt easily. There were also other factors he had to take in from this. Holding the same form for efficiency, magic control to keep the shape and false material of the sword, the weights for intensity, and overall, to David, it looked cool.
By the time Bennett had finished washing up and dressing up, it was already around 8:30, so he had to go eat breakfast. He also saw that David had stopped training, making the sword and bracelets around his body disappear and changing his training outfit while using water magic to clean himself.
By the time Bennett had reached the dining room, he saw that David was already eating breakfast. For breakfast, they had muffins, eggs, and bacon with a side of milk or coffee.
Without question, David had already eaten 3 portions of the breakfast before he was full. Bennett, who was at the side, sipped his milk while deadpanning at his friend's appetite.
"It was delicious, thank you!" David smiled after wiping his mouth.
"Awwww, I definitely made the right choice to keep you!" Sarah softly patted David's head.
"M... mother, I want to ask... why are you the one cooking? Don't you have cooks for that?" David blushed while asking.
"Well... I just want to have the feeling of being a nice housewife! It makes my family happy, right, darling?" She smiled with her eyes closed, facing Ben.
"Of course! Your food is definitely the best!" Ben quickly replied.
"Alright then, everyone with their breakfast?" Sarah asked.
"Done!" The three men said at the same time.
"Mn! David, please go to the basement, we'll be with you soon!" Sarah pulled Ben away.
"Uh. Got it!" He yelled, changing into his original training clothes.
"Hey, wait for me, David!" Bennett ran after David.
Going to the basement, there was already another magic circle in place when they arrived. To be more specific, the family's magic circle was here. In the middle, there was the valley as the emblem with some other characters in a circle around it. For the three mini magic circles around the middle one, there were some patterns he didn't recognize and some more words around it as well.
Seeing that, the two just stayed at the entrance, after all, you never know what could happen if a magic circle was ruined. Bennett was also with him as he didn't touch it the first time he did this.
After waiting for a while, they saw both Ben and Sarah were dressed up. Ben with his azure battle robe with his family crest on the left of his breast. The battle robe was primarily blue, with some tint of gold on the sides and edges of the robe coupled with a fur hood, and under the robe, was an all-white outfit with some light plated armor on him.
For Sarah, she was dressed up as a... magic knight? She had magic steel armor covering nearly her entire body, like regular female knight armor. She also had a blue cape behind her, only going to around her knees. She had no helmet, but that didn't diminish her aura in the least bit.
(A/N: Sarah's armor reference-Sao... Alice)
'Woah...' Although David had seen fantasy anime with the same types of armor and robes, being able to see them in real... 3d? Yeah, 3d, feels different.
"So... cool." David muttered, yet both Ben and Sarah could hear it clearly.
"Of course we look cool! We're one of the war heroes that fought with the king himself in land wars!" Ben lifted his head with pride.
"Huh? No, I meant mother looks cool... you're in the way father." David ignored Ben and looked at Sarah with admiration in his eyes.
"H-huh?... sniff... sniff." Ben was sulking in front of the magic circle.
"Pfffft. I forgot to tell you, David does admire knights more than mages." Bennett patted his depressed father's back.
"Ara, ara. Thank you so much!" Sarah ruffled David's hair, though he didn't mind it.
"Alright dear, please get into position!" Sarah reminded.
"Yes, honey..." Ben walked to the magic circle, activating it as a shined brightly, making both David and Bennett close their eyes out of reflex.
"Ugh..." The two moaned in discomfort.
"Don't worry, boys, it'll be done soon." Sarah covered their eyes.
As the light dimmed after a few seconds, David looked at the glowing magic circle in surprise.
'Mn... I can feel the urge to learn everything...' he nodded.
"Alright, it's ready, you can head in now, dear." Sarah gave a kind smile to encourage him.
Nodding, David walked up to the middle of the magic circle, letting it engulf him.
