Chapter 52 The Walter family

On the table crowded delicious meal such tater tots, key lime pie, pot roast, fajitas, enchiladas, jambalaya, grits, cioppino, banana slipt, buffalo wings and so on.

The whole family was seated peaceful, scooping on theirs serve delicately to them in a royal way whlie the maids stands behind and watch them....

Although, everyone seems to be busy with their mouth and hands but that didn't stop the eyes of envious on Lim.

He could feel the energy of hatred around the table but never utter a word. All he knows, them can stare but never rise a hand on him. He smirks...

"Lim, do you like your meal?" Old Walter asked curiously. He saw the boy smile, worried if it's the smile of satisfaction on the meal or not...

"Sure, not too bad" he answered In a cold tone while still scooping on the dessert served for him...

"That's good" Cindy hurriedly said, "I'm happy you appreciate my cooking. I joined the maids today in the kitchen. Since we heard you're coming back home after all these years. I want you to feel really welcome" she smiled..

Lim chuckled, such a woman in show. He muttered.

"Isn't that great Lim, Cindy is a excellent cook. She had been helping with the cooking sometimes in the house when she comes to visit. I'm happy to have her" Old Walter exclaimed excitedly.......

Lim eyes shifts to Cindy, she was smiling wordily on the on the praises of Old Walter..

" Indeed she is" Lim uttered which draws Cindy to looked at him, her lovely smile died off when she read the looks on the boy face which was cold ..

" Lim, how was you trip back to the state? Hope it wasn't that stressful? " Aunty'B asked, who was sitting beside the boy. She had missed he so much after these years. She remembers when her mother was harsh to him include her brothers, she was the only one who shows him love and trained him well since their father felt so ashamed to stand up for him in the presence of the late Mrs Walter...

" It was fine Aunty'B. And wasn't that stressful" the boy answered and continue his meal.

" That's good to know" comment Old Walter..

The grandsons on the table felt so intimidated. Just imagine them calling someone in the same age group 'uncle' was weird.. but them have to since it to show their royalty to Old Walter..

Nick, the son of Marcus who have have so much envious especially when it comes to Lim. He still did not know why the man was refusing him to join Walter Corporation group. He would have simply go for his father company but he wants where there is power. And power laid in the Walter Corporation runs by Lim. He wants to stand in the same stone and bare the same name of power. This is the right time for he to asked Lim for the favor, Since Old Walter is present he wouldn't refused him, right?

"Uncle Lim, I was thinking of joining the Walter Corporation group since I'm done with my education. What do you think? Should I apply tomorrow?" Nick asked.

Immediately, Lim stop what he was doing and stared at the boy ironically, while the whole family members stared at him waiting for his response...

He folded his hands on the table supporting his jaw to looked well at the idiot that just split out the forbidden fruit.

"Why the Walter Corporation when the Ward's is there?" He frowned his eyebrows..

"Because..."

"Why so harsh Lim" Cindy said cutting the boy shorts for speaking. It was her idea for her son to work under the Walter Corporation since it belongs to the Old Walter. It also her son right if he chose wheresoever place to work..

"The boy only need your permission to work under the Walter Corporation, is not that he's going against you. He just wants to be there" Cindy clearly explained. What's a deceitful woman, trying to play games with him? She just hit the wrong stone.

Lim turn his deadly gaze at her. " Tell me, why should I accommodate your son when his father company was right there?"

"It my son right to choose any company he wants to work on. Besides, you need someone to support you. You can't do all the work by yourself. Nick can be of good help for you in the company"

Lim laughed, such an idiot who thought he would be fool. He clearly knows their mind set. It have always be fill with bad thoughts against him. He knows where this woman was heading to. She wants her son to enjoy the benefits of the Walter Corporation too.

Their eyes stared at him as he was done laughing.

"That was clearly a show Cindy. I believe you must have put a lot of options in thoughts before coming to me. And why did you think I will let your son work in my company?"

His eyes were cloud with dark horror. He hates it when people tried to play dirty games with him when them know he would never agreed to such decision. That's what he distaste most...

"But ... Nick"

"I thinks that enough, Nick can work in the Ward's. It is Lim right to choose whosoever he wants to work under the Walter Corporation. And it belongs to him and no one else!" Old Walter declare.

Cindy wants to react but was hold down by Marcus, who clenched his hand on her lap while she bit her lips bitterly to wash out her anger. She couldn't believe grandpa would take side with Lim as always. Since the dead of Mrs Walter favor the Old man most, . Marcus knows his father would support Lim in all course since he was trying to amend his way with him.

" father, I'm sorry for my wife wrong approach. She was only thinking about the betterment for her son and not to upset  anyone" Marcus apologize and bowed ..

"I suggest Cindy should think about the betterment of her son in your company. The companies are shared among you. And everyone have their own" Aunty'B suggested. She never like Cindy, since she was married into the house.

"I think that all enough, we should eat in peace" ushered Old Walter

Everywhere become slient, but the eyes of rages never stop roaming on the table.

After fifteen minutes of slience, Sophia cough to break the slience. Drawing the attention of others to her.

"Grandpa, Luke is getting married soon" she announced excitedly.

"Who wants to marry that cheater?" Emily, the daughter of Aunty'B whisper to Matilda. " I guess he was wants to be notice in the family. Since he's living like a ghost" Matilda whipped back...

"That's truth" Emily said in low tone. The two of them was sitting close to each other and it would be hard to hear their discussion.

"Oh really? To who?" Old Walter replied. He loves the news of his grandchildren getting married and having more grandchildren.

"To a daughter of a minister in government"

"That's a good news!"

" It's is a better news unlike someone who want to remain old forever without getting married" Cindy snapped. She just can't let's the first role slide just like that. The bastard son dare to disqualified her son who have his right to work in the Walter Corporation..

" Cindy, you should focus on yourself and family before digging your hands on something that didn't consign you" Aunty B warned, she didn't want Lim to feel offended.

" Hm Lim, when are you getting married? " Old Walter asked, sipping on his wine glaring at the boy, who seen not affected by any word utter by Cindy.
