THE PROMISE
Lily’s POV
“Now I understand,” mom said. “I thought he was flirting with you?”
I groaned. “Are you serious, mom?” I asked with a frown. What was happening to my family? I remembered that Vincent said that to me, too. I rolled my eyes. “Mom, are you sick? If Vincent heard you, he would get mad at you,” she said.
If Vincent was here, I’m sure that these two would unite to tease me. Even if my mother doesn’t know anything about the relationship that Vincent and I have.
My mother laughed. “Good thing he’s not around for sure he will think I’m getting crazy, but I know that Vincent loves you so much and he cares for you a lot,” she said. “I believe, Lily, that you won’t do anything that would destroy your relationship,”
“Absolutely mom, why would I do that?” I said. “And, Mr. Romano is a certified bachelor; he would never like a woman like me.”
