HE SMILED

Adrian's POV

She was dumbfounded. “F-For me?” She pointed at herself. “Why for me?”

“Yes, for you, because it's your dream, right?”

“Why for me?” Her eyebrows wrinkled with confusion.

“Didn't I tell you to think of this as your dream house? That you're going to beautify it the way you want?”

“Oh, yes, I forgot.” She slapped her forehead and smiled. Then, her brows furrowed again as if thinking about something.

“What's wrong?” I asked her as soon as I stopped the buggy in front of the villa.

“Nothing, just don't mind me,” she said. We stepped out of the buggy car and started walking to the lawn headed to the villa. “The woman you will marry is fortunate,” she said in a whisper.

“What if you are the woman I will marry? Do you think you are that lucky?”

Lily was dumbfounded for the hundredth time. At the same time, she was speechless. She didn't know what to say. Adrian smiled at her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into the villa.
