CHAPTER 49

Ashar was sitting on the chair at his office, put his legs on the table and busy pressing phone, there was a cup of tea beside him and his laptop was closed putting at a far place from him. There was no really much work in the company because tomorrow was the CEO's birthday so it was all the department that were preparing for it also it was all of them that had heard about the surprise birthday party so that was what was going on.

Somia was very busy pressing the laptop and also replying to some messages as they were entering her phone. It was not office's work that she was doing but how the surprise birthday party would go, best way they could do it that it would be lovely.

It was email and text messages that they were sending to for Ashar not to suspect anything still last day or knows their plans.

Somia took her phone on the table as it started ringing, closed the laptop and leaving the office, going out to receive it. Ashar was busy pressing his phone and enjoying his day on the social media since that was no work for him to do.

Somia took some steps more as she got down to the corridor of their office and dialling the mobile number back, made sure she walks far from the door so that Ashar wouldn't hear her conversations.

"Hello Somia! How are you" Shukuran asked, she was in her bedroom sitting on the chair.

"I am good! I saw the message but Ashar is still around and it's not like he will been living soon"

"Oh! Now, he doesn't use to stay long at work now so why today. Does he busy like he has a work that he is working on?" Shukuran asked.

"No work at all in the company, you know tomorrow is CEO's birthday so that is what everybody have been busy with, he is just busy pressing his phone" Somia said with low voice.

"Since there is no work, that mean he will lives soon so when he has gone call me so that I can tell these people that what to decorate the hall to start coming because they have been calling me and that is why I sent you a message"

"If where they are coming from is far, you can tell them to start coming" Somia suggested.

"Not really far but I will call them and tell them to start coming because of this Lagos traffic and after few hours that Ashar has left I and Iqmat too will start coming and join you guys there" Shukuran laid down very well on the coach.

"I alright then! I will be expecting them and I and my friend will put them through"

"Good! Make sure you call me immediately after Ashar has left so that I can call Funbi too"

"No problem I will surely do that" Somia hanged up from the call, looks at her left and right hand side like a person doing a secret work. Well it was a secret birthday party that she was planning on so she wants to be vigilant.

Sound of the door opened and closed, Somia entered and going back to her seat. Ashar dropped his phone down on the table and stretching his two hands by joining two of them together and raising it up.

"Today is just boring, it's because tomorrow is my birthday that is all this people didn't work because I can't receive any mail from any department" Ashar said.

"Let us enjoy today and tomorrow Sir, it's part of celebration" Somia said with smile and Ashar giggles as he was looking at her.

"Alright! Let start going home even I want to take you out for launch, let go and have nice time at my favourite restaurant" Ashar was sitting on the edge of the table and looking at Somia.

"I am so sorry Sir! I am—I am" Somia didn't know what to say just stammering.

"Are you afraid of all those stupid reporters? They can't stop me for going out with the person I want to" Ashar said with loud voice as he got up and turned to the other side.

"Not that Sir! There is something I want to help Semirat with and it's very important to her life so it's not something we can just ignored Sir" Somia laid.

"Okay no problem, go and help my friend's girl oh! If it's financially help let me know"

"Yes Sir! Thank you for your understanding sir" Somia said with smiles, Asha carried his laptop bag, put his hand on his shoulder and already to go.

"Let me escort you Sir" Ashar smiles as Somia said this and leaving the office, Somia didn't intentionally wants to escort Ashar but to sure that he had gone before calling Shukuran.

Two of them got down to the reception, the secretary greeted him and continued walking. The door opened automatically for two of them, Ashar got down to the compound when Somia was standing on the staircase looking at Ashar entering to his car.

"Take care of yourself for me!" Ashar said with smile, looking at Somia for few minutes and before he closed the door. He started the car and driving out, Somia turns back and going inside. Somia stopped walking as she entered and not far from the secretary.

"Hello Shukuran! Yes Ashar had gone" Said with low voice.

"Are sure that brother has gone, not that he is still somewhere around the company?" She was still in the same position and because watching movie.

"I escorted him out to be very sure, he entered into his car and gone"

"Wow! That is so good, all those people will be there soon and I too and Iqmat will be on our way now, I am dressed already" Shukuran dropped the remote and got up.

"Alright! I will be expecting you guys" Somia hanged up, turns to her left hand side and going to Auditing department to meet Semirat.

Semirat was sitting on chair at her desk, talking and charting with her co. that was what they had been doing since morning that they had got to work, talking about reality terms, crack jokes and shares personal experience.

Sound of the door opened and Somia entered, met all of them talking loudly and when some were sitting on the table, some were sitting on the chairs and even some were standing.

"Good afternoon guys! Nobody is working today just enjoying" Somia said with smile.

"Yes oh my new friend! Tomorrow is CEO's birthday let join ourselves for the two days" the man whom was Semirat's partner said.

"Just makes sure you guys dress for party tomorrow and you have resume before Ashar so that he won't suspect anything" All of them were so happy and keeps shouting.

"Semirat! Ashar had gone and these people that wants to decorate the hall will be here soon so let us go"

"Alright! Give me few minutes let me please" Semirat stood up, started all her belongings that was on the table inside her hand bag, when others continued with the talks.

Semirat carried her hand bag, left her side and going out.

"Okay guys! See you tomorrow, not going yet I am still downstairs but it's from there I will be going home" her co greeted her and she and Somia going out.

"By the time they will be done Raheem too will have been here so that he can take us to that place and tell us what Ashar's like because I don't know just be a PA" Somia said with smiles.

"He had took Basit and Tomiwa from school and they have been on their way room so after dropping them at his own house he will be coming here to pick us, so by then we will have been done"

"That is good then! Excuse me, it's Shukuran that is call" Somia said and picked it.

"Somia! Those people have arrived to the company and Funbi has been with them, so you can go and join them"

"Okay! We will be there now, we have been going there already"

"Alright! We too will be there shortly, the road is so free and we have been most closed"

"Alright! Bye" Somia hanged up and started walking fast to the hall as they got down from the staircase.

Funbi and the secretary had been in the hall with those people, watching them as they were pouring their instruments on the floor and arranging them.

Sound of the door opened, Somia and Semirat entered, Funbi was so sad to see Somia and she had known that Shukuran had told her about the surprise.

"Good afternoon, everybody. Well done" Semirat and Somia said with smiles and cleaned mind and all of them replied them except from Funbi.

"What colour are you using for the decoration, let it be lovely" Semirat said.

"We think will should just miss the colours" A lady among the people said.

"No! Let us use the colour that the celebrate loves, from what I observed. Ashar likes white, blue and brown. And I think we should use that or what did you guys thinks" Somia said with smiles and looks at Semirat, the secretary and including Funbi.

"Wow! I agreed with you Somia, since that are the colours that Ashar loves" The secretary said.

"What rubbish is this? What are you even doing here Somia? You are just an ordinary personal assistance so you don't have any say here"

"Please stop! Have been keeping silent and excise patient for long, what is it? Why did you just hate me so much? Every time just wants to be causing trouble every time. What is really your problem Funbi" Somia forced out.

"Look at you. Sleeping with Ashar or him too showing you some loves doesn't mean you can be controlling anybody in this company anyhow or what to be making a stupid order"

"Watch your mouth Funbi! What is all this" Semirat said.

"Look at them, bird of the same feather. Want to push her to rich home so that two of you can get out of the poverty that you are----"Somia stopped her with loud voice.

"You are very stupid for what you said! Just open that your smelling mouth and be saying rubbish about people that you know nothing about them. What is your problem?"

"Please Somia! Take it easy, let face what we are here for" The secretary said.

"No! Let her talk, two prostitutes trying to justify themselves and still have mouth to talk" Semirat wanted to slap her when Somia held her hand.

"Go on! Come on go on and slap me now" Funbi shouted.

"Let me tell you, dressing big or forming rich means that the person is rich, watch your mouth and know how to talk you this fool!" Semirat said with loud voice.

"What is going on here please?" Iqmat said as she entered with Shukuran. Shukuran looks at Somia's face and saw that she was not happy.

"Ask them, this what to slap me! Go ahead now" Funbi shouted and Semirat looks at her with bad eye.

"This is what I am talking about, I have been silent and patient for a long time" Somia said as she faced Shukuran and Iqmat. She turns back and going out with Semirat.

"Funbi! What is it now? Somia I am sorry" Shukuran said with loud voice, turns back and running after Somia and Semirat.
