Things are not looking Good

A/N: Hey guys, I'm back. Had to take a leave because my head was killing me. But I'm recovering fine and Thank you to all those who wished me well. The war isn't gonna be long, but it will reveal some hidden secrets that are linked to what Blake's slayer magic is gonna be. Also, if you found the easter eggs I put in some of the chapters as well as the name of his magic than you may have already guessed what type of slayer magic he will be having. Also, I apologise for any sort of cliche or any other sort of aspect of the story that you are not fond of. I am a fairly new writer and not adept at making great stories, this 'is' my second time writing a story so yeah.

And on other news, we have reached 220+k viewers! wow, blew me away. Happy reading.

The armies clashed and blood and guts flew in the air as the sound of metal striking metal, screams and cries of thousands of soldiers rang out in the battlefield.

The Dragnof army was known for their shield formation and deadly spear techniques. They would form a shield barrier with spears and mow down their enemies but this time it seemed they met their match as the Rustmore armies weird new armor and weapon styles were making it hard for them.

Their spears couldn't penetrate easily against their armour and their shields were hacked aside by their axes and warhammer's. But the Dragnof army were skilled fighters and so there was a stalemate as both armies pushed each other.

King Edmund was observing the battle while also keeping a close watch on High General Jung, who seemed as though he had already won the war. This did not make the king feel good as it meant that Jung probably had something that made him as confident as he was.

Jung on the other hand was waiting for the signal as the transport of his secret weapon was taking longer that expected.

"No matter, even if the army is defeated as long as it arrives no army or kingdom will be able to withstand its might." Jung didn't really care for his army, no, all he wanted was power. And with a dragon under his control he would build the strongest empire the world has ever seen.

Meanwhile, Blake and Irene had slipped into the Rustmore capital and were currently staying at an inn. They managed to get inside the capital fairly easily as it seems the security was lacking with most of the army away in a war.

The living conditions of the capital seemed dreary as the common people looked half starved or overworked, while the nobles or military personnel seemed to enjoy a very high standard of living. As a kingdom ruled under military strength, normal jobs and trade were under the rule of the military. Just one look at the citizens showed that it was not a very good place to live.

"Okay, tonight we'll go and try to get into that giant building that the patrons at the bar said was built secretly and guarded so heavily. It looks suspicious and with the gossip flying around about a dragon being seen landing at the castle also is a cause for concern.", Blake said as they rested in their room at the inn.

Irene nodded and was also very concerned with the dragon rumor, "Could it be that he got help from a dragon and thats why he's so confident in the war?", She asked as Blake nodded and thought it could be a vaild reason.

"But to get help from a dragon, I wonder what kind of deal would get a dragon to act.", Blake was thinking of all sorts of possibilities as to how a dragon would be involved. 'Hopefully we'll find out tonight', he thought to himself.

"Lets rest for now and we'll start investigating tonight. You use the bed and I'll meditate for a while.", Blake offered Irene and sat cross legged on the ground and tried to integrate lightning into his magic once more. He was close to making it compatible but had a lot of rough edges to be polished if he wanted it to be perfect.

Jung looked towards the battlefield and decided to retreat for the day as tomorrow he'd win with the arrival of Draco and Belserion. Soon the soud of horns that signalled the retreat sounded and the Rustmore army slowly retreated towards their encampment. King Edmund released a large sigh as he was tense the whole day preparing for whatever plans that Jung might have had. But it seems his worries were for another day, "General order the soldiers to retreat and rest up. They'll need it for tomorrow.", with the order the general nodded and gave the order and the battle for the day ended with a slight advantage for Dragnof because of their magic canons.

As night fell the soldiers on both sides were making camp and tending to their injured and fallen comrades while the leaders of both camps were making plans and discussions for the next day.

In the Rustmore side, inside the large tent at the middle of the camp where the High General and his generals were having a discussion, "Although the new armor and weapons are proving to be effective but we had too little time to properly integrate them for actual combat.", one of the generals said while the rest nodded. "Because of our hasty preparations we lost nearly a third of the army against those blasted canons and the soldiers hav e lost morale. If we don't have a better result tomorrow I don't think we can turn this around.", another general shared his thoughts as well. As they continued to discuss strategies and plans Jung was quite and simply waited for news of Draco's arrival.

And so he did, with his Black cloak that hid most of his features and a skeletal looking staff. He strode into tent as all discussions stopped and all eyes looked towards the mage as he approached their leader. After whispering something into his ear Jung's lips curved into a victorious smirk as he looked towards his generals and declared, "Well it seems there will be no morr need to worry, because tomorrow this war will end and Dragnof will soon fall under our banner."

The generals were suprised by their leaders sudden declaration and asked for clarifications to which he smiled and said "With the arrival of Draco, tomorrow you shall witness the power that will unite this world under one banner, 'Our' banner", the generals were in doubt but nonetheless nodded their heads and simply hoped it was for the best. If worse comes to worst there was the mage as well, he was also a trump card in their eyes so decided to simply see what happens.

Meanwhile Blake and Irene had just snuck into the building now called the 'Black Citadel' and were investigating their findings.

As they made their way through the various rooms and halls, it was clear that they had recently been using it to manufacture some sort of magic armour and weapons from the various magical forges and armour they found.

Irene looked at the runes and recognised them from the notes her grandfather wrote about his research into the Ragnarok magic.

Blake was also reading the runes as they seemed to be of nordic origin as well.

"Maybe they found blueprints or old armor in ruins. I will need to investigate this after the war.", he thought to himself. He had a feeling that this will lead him to something that wasn't mentioned in the story. He already guessed that there was more to the world than what was mentioned in the story and his magic was proof of that as well as the various historical notes he had read.

As they continued to investigate they came upon a giant room where there was nothing else except giant black chains that had norse runes glowing eerily in the middle of the room.

Both of them felt incredible magic coming from the chains and slowly made their way towards it. As they inspected the chains Blake had a guess as to what they were from his knowledge of norse mythology but didn't want to make assumptions yet.

Irene was enthralled by the complexity and intricacy of the skill and magic required to make such amazing items which was godly in comparison to their current technology.

Blake was using his magic sense to scan the surroundings incase someone came and while doing so found a small door that let to a tiny chamber barely able to fit a grown man.

There was a small table with all sorts of scrolls and notes on the table, after reading through them he found that his guess was true and somehow the Rustmore kingdom found an ancient ruin of nordic origin where they found the Chains, said to have once been used to bound Fenrir, Gleipnir. They also probably found those magical armours from there as well.

This discovery shed light into how Jung was able to hold a dragon, and probably has other artefacts that may be used to control a dragon.

This did not bode well for them. Blake wasn't sure he was strong enough to take on a dragon as they had very high magic resistance as well as a tough body. Without dragonslayer magic he wasn't sure wether they could really do any substantial damage or not.

He quickly took all the notes and went towards Irene as she was still inspecting the chains.

"We need to hurry and warn your father. It seems things are going to get a lot worse", Blake said as he came towards her. Irene was startled by his urgency and after a quick explanation she too understood the severity of their situation.

"Is there anyway you could use the chains or carry them? It could come handy against what we will be probably facing", Blake asked.

Irene had a thoughtful look then replied,"Maybe with the notes here I could probably come up with a way".

Blake nodded and made a new plan. "I'll try and stall as much as I can while you work. Then come as soon as your finished here. Although I don't have confidence in winning, I still can hold it off long enough for you to come and use the chains.", Blake said, while Irene didn't like it she knew there was no other way so she reluctantly nodded and chose to believe in him.

"You better be alright before I arrive or I will resurrect you just so I can kill you again myself!", Irene warned him and gave him a strong hug. Although their time together wasn't long she had grown to revel in his presence and didn't want to lose him.

Blake hugged her back and assured her that he wouldn't die that easily.

After saying their goodbyes Blake quickly activated his magic and dashed straight for where the armies were. Time was of the essence and lives were at stake.

"Let's hope I arrive on time. Damn this gets more dangerous by the minute.", Blake muttered to himself as he ran at his full speed, breaking the sound barrier.

King Edmund was currently devising strategies with his generals who were in high spirits because of their meager loss compared to Rustmore, but King Ed had a feeling that something wasn't right and that tomorrow wouldn't turn out as they had hoped. He only hoped that he was wrong and that it was only his paranoia.

The black mage Draco was currently standing infront of the mind controlled Belserion as he had a very disturbing smile on his face. "Ehehehe, oh how foolish they are with their wars. Short sighted mortals. Once this little face is over with I will find what makes you so damn powerful and take it for myself. Then I will be the most powerful mage in existence not even your kind will be worthy before me. Muahahahaha", (I know cliche laugh).

A/N: Hey so I took a while to post because altough i was partway finished with this chapter I just didn't think it was good. So I was waiting for a good inspiration to come......which didn't so, I begrudgingly finished it although I know it is bad. I hate the whole damn chapter. My mind is currently too focused on Harry Potter to think of anything else so I beg for your forgiveness.

My worst chapter yet. Please comment on your thoughts and Help make it better.
