The Wolf Pack

It felt good as the two ran side by side through the woods. Nova felt complete, it was like a hole she didn't realize she had was filled in Jay's presence. Her red paws moved swiftly across the ground in unison with his large black ones. With each step, she felt her body become more attuned to his, to every breath, every heartbeat.

They traveled straight toward the wolf pack's den, intent on their mission. As they grew close, their strides slowed while Nova let out a small call. It was quickly answered and soon the trees disappeared and in front of them sat a small meadow with a few wolves chilling around. Nova spotted the Alpha and moved toward him.

Nova gave her respect to the Alpha who returned the favor before Jay followed her lead. The alpha nodded and lead them toward a spot on the edge of a clearing where they all sat down. "Alpha, why is the off-limits territory a no-go area?"
