Jedi Mission

Author note: Star Wars does not have their own set years and everything is set off of Star Wars Episode 4 as year zero with BBY before and ABY set after so I've created a new year marker that starts when the Galactic Republic formed (GR).

GR 952 (BBY 48) Coruscant

Yoda Minch, Grandmaster of the Jedi Order awoke from his force meditation with surprise. He had felt a ripple in the force, not a full shift but surprising none the less considering the increasing cloaking of the Force with the dark side. He knew that if he had not been so deep in meditation he would have missed it.

"Investigate we must, send a master we will."

3 hours later Sifo-Dyas volunteered, during the counsil called by Yoda, to investigate the disturbance in the Force. He would be traveling to the Unknown Regions outside of Galactic Republic controlled space.

It took 3 weeks of traveling through the Unknown Regions following the guidance of the Force before Sifo-Dyas found a distress signal from an abandoned escape pod. Sifo-Dyas pulled in the pod noting that it was not made from any technology he knew about. It seemed to be both more advanced and at the same time made from ancient technology thought lost.

Upon opening the escape pod he was disturbed to note that the sole occupant was a Child encased in carbonite. After investigating the pod further, to find out the identity of the child, he found a video of a woman talking in a language he could not understand. His first thought on seeing the woman in the video was "Pantoran with red eyes?"

Sifo-Dyas took the pod with it's cargo back to the Jedi temple for further investigation. Sufi-Dyas brought his findings before his fellow Jedi Council members, Jocasta Nu, Chief Librarian of the Jedi Order, was able to identify the woman was speaking the Sy Bisti trade language. Yoda told the counsil the women was a Chiss not a Pantoran. With this knowledge they had a droid translate the woman's speech.

" I am Jlom'acum'rasu the Sky-walker of the Aristocra, Grandmaster of the third sight. We have foreseen the darkness to come. I have sent you our first male with the sight in known history of the Ascendancy. We have foreseen that he will be an important member of your Order. The child is named Pom'olash'zumemi, he is now an exile of our people and will not be welcome back to the Ascendancy. This will be the only help we are willing to give your fallen Order, do not bother contacting us for we will welcome all visits with hostility. Do not bother trying to reverse engineer the escape pod, it is set to fry all electronic components after being open, so it is already fried by the time you found this Video."

Sifo-Dyas volunteered again to apprentice the child when he reaches age 5. The council agreed to allow it and had the child released from carbonite. They also agreed to call the child by the name Lash Zume.
