Chapter 4 - Mistakes

"So? Are you going to tell me what you want, Mr.Cloak?" After a long few minutes of silence, Loki spoke once more. The low but large round table that was in the middle of the room, had her legs and beer mug on it at this point.

Her eyes watched him closely, in her mind, he seemed to be to relaxed for a assassin, no matter how you put it, he seemed to be to familiar with her and the way she acted. She only stopped when she heard him sigh, as he leaned forward ready to talk she guessed.

"I would like to ask for your support, while it might seem strange with out being in your familia, in the next few years a wave of problems will hit this city. At that time I need someone who can support me and my apprentice from the dark." Major's voice was calm as he leaned forward, his hands interlocking as he did, his black eyes of dark water seemed to shine as he looked at the door, and then back to Loki.

"Support? Is that all? You've come to the goddess of mischief to ask to support you? It's clear you have skill, there are a number of gods in this city which could help you better then me, isn't there? Take Freya for instance." Loki listened, only to answer in a playful and yet board way as she thought it be something more interesting.

"As much as you like to act the fool, your far more reliable and cunning then other goddess or gods. Maybe I could ask them, but you are the best choice when it comes to deals in the dark. And anyone would be stupid if they left there fate to Freya, I wouldn't put my apprentice through that." Major's voice was also a little play full as he spoke back, he could see her lean her head back on the couch as she chuckled a little.

"I can't say your wrong on that part, she loves to taste, and tease talent while she try's to control them. Still I don't see why it would matter for me to support you? What makes your apprentice so special?" Loki said, he could tell she was trying to get more information, while also noticing she was kind of angry, but he thought it was because she couldn't tell if he was truly lying.

"His talent is unique, more so then a lot of other young adventures, I can't say much but when the time comes, you'll understand what I mean, especially if that woman gets involved. I'm sure she will make a mess of the situation behind the scenes, that's why I need you." Major also leaned back without care, everything had not fallen into place, so it was hard to say until young bell came to the city, yet he knew his mana and soul were unique, with out a equally as powerful familia backing them it would be, troublesome.

"Your putting a lot of praise on your apprentice, I can see how troublesome it could become. Still I don't see what I can get out of it? Not to mention from that thick smell of blood it's not like your normal yourself, especially when it all smells human. You want me to support a killer, then I'll need a-lot more then just words." Loki said as she looked at him, her pretty little nose moving as she smelled the air, there was no way to just support someone on hear say, she needed something of equal value for her support.

"Think of me how ever you would like, and of course if you have wants I would do what I can for your support, I also have these." Major knew words alone were of little worth to a goddess like Loki, and even if it could mess up his plan, he pulled a few things from his cloak.

The first was a few strange cores, they were of different sizes but one thing stuck out, they had a golden and green shine to them. It wasn't like the monster cores from the dungeon, these were giving off a warm and wanting feeling as a translucent vapor came off of them. Then there was a bottle, it looked like a normal pearl, saki bottle but just like the cores, the vapors coming off were stronger as the top of the bottles were given off a heavenly smell. Loki for all her talk was lost for words, she felt like she knew what it was but couldn't place her finger on it, and even more so when the Saki gave of a nostalgic and comfortable feeling, she hadn't felt in a long time.

"And what are these supposed to be? And what can it do for me?" Loki as cunning as ever didn't let her face change, she played along as she wanted to know, and get a actual answer out of this man.

"My master gave me these, they are the only ones of there kind. Your face may be straight but by your words, it seems you are really interested in them. These cores can strengthen and help young adventurers unlock hidden talents if they have any, or strengthen talents they already have with out the need of just dungeon diving. And as for the saki, it's unlike anything you ever tasted, when in humans it could break them passed there bottlenecks, but in gods, let's just say.. it is something you'll have to find out." Major explained while pointing from each object, even while this happened he could see she was not truly sold but her nose and eyes were glued to the objects.

"Do you really expect me to believe all that? That these things can help strengthen my familia? Seems like you really are crazy.." Loki spoke, the fact it felt like he was telling the truth but mixing in lies she didn't like, he was hard to read and she couldn't just go on and trust him.

"That's why I planned to give you these, and allow you to figure out if it is true or not. There is years to come so you could make up your mind slowly, over time." Major said as he picked up a bottle, throwing it at Loki as she caught it, with a smile he watched her look it over, before opening it as a golden and green light shined. Not only that but the smell was so sweet he could see her lick her lips.

"What is this.." Loki said, she was somewhat absentminded, her lips and hands shook as she was about to bring it to her lips.

"It's aura nectar.." Major lost in his own thoughts about how cute she looked, said without thinking as their eyes both snapped at each other. Majors spine tingled for a moment as he saw the look in Loki's eyes as she gripped the bottle hard.

"What the hell did you just say?" Her voice seemed to completely change as she stood, slamming the bottle onto the table as she saw Major try and get up. "Why are you leaving so fast? Tell me more about this aura.." Loki's voice was cold as she gripped his arm, for a little goddess she had a vice like grip as she pulled in closer to herself.

'Fuck..' was all Major could think as before he knew it, she was pushing him down on the couch, her face long losing its smile as she looked at him.
