Chapter 3 - Mr. Cloak

Orario, a massive city, home to many gods and races of all kinds. The dungeon city, or the city of dreams, where young and old adventures come, for money, to get famous, friends or even to drown themselves in desire.

The large forest to the west gate was covered in darkness as the shadows dances under the moonlight, the light dim and out of focus as a figure sat within the tree line. The dark black cloak seemed to blend in to the shadows only to shine, two dead piercing purple eyes shined as they looked at the massive walls of the city.

'It's been so long it feels like everything is a blur.. it doesn't feel like 15 years have passed. And here I am standing before this mess of a city.' The thoughts of the man Major spun in his mind as he leaned on a tree, his hand moving to the inside of his cloak as pulled out a strange slime like mask.

His hand moved to his face as the slime latched on, moving along his face as it formed, changing his face, to that of a begger and his eyes from purple to pitch black. His hand shook as the liquid from the strange mask hit the floor, and pulled his hood so that his face sank deeper into its shadow.

"No matter how many times i do it, that slime mask is disgusting." The once smooth and deep voice changed to that of a younger man as Major spoke to himself.

"It won't do it all but it should help with that stupid ability she has.. even so, I'm sure my aura will do the rest, it's annoying trying to mix lies and truths with her." Major could only shake his head, about the situation but there was no other way, she would be of great help in the future but that's if she doesn't find out or rip him apart.

Time moved slowly as he sat, it was late and the likely hood of a chariot coming was low but not impossible, many stayed in the city at night as travel at night was asking for, either roaming bandits or monsters to attack. Still some brave merchants with the money to buy a few nice adventures were be brave enough.

'Even if there low levels, I guess there is strength in numbers.' After a hour or so of waiting, a glimpse of hope shined, the light of torches flicked to life on the road leading to the city. While a coach like wagon moved down it as its wheels creaked slightly, outside of the wagon 6 young low level adventures walked, the stress that left there faces as they saw the outline of the city, was something any of these guys would have as they might have traveled miles in the dark.

Major moved through the trees following, only to frown as none of them noticed, they would look straight and only turn to look at bushes they passed. Major couldn't help but to let out a sigh, he was even letting his presence leak out all over the place. He soon pushed it out of his mind as his body seemed to disappear, only to reappear in the back of the wagon. His hand behind him to move the curtains at the back to cover himself, in the back was a chest, fruits, swords, meat and other things but he paid no mind, sticking on to the roof with no effort as he waited to hear the gate guards to let them through.

It didn't take long before he could hear voices, then the light of a torch passed over the back on the wagon to check everything. He might have been able to get in the city on his own, but the way he looks, and to way he acted he was the guards would definitely pull him to the side for hours, to make sure he wasn't a threat to the city, or even take it to whatever god runs the guards. It was to annoying to deal with as he wanted to get in and out of this city. Which he hoped after he met loki, she would help get him out of the city. The thought of jumping over the wall, came to mind for only a second, but he picked a more relaxed manner.

'Finally, the adventures sure talk a lot, well the annoying part is over. So let's get to the more annoying part.' Major thought as he felt the wagon move once more, the shaking did nothing to his grip as he pulled the curtains away slightly to see the city gates close. Without a second thought he moved, the cloak covered his legs as he crouched on top of a building, the dark of the night seemed to blur around him, his eyes watched the wagon move down the road.

His body moved at great speed as he jumped silently from roof to roof, the city around himself was some how lively as lights could be seen shining. Laughter, drunk adventures, and other night activities could be seen or heard. Orario was a large city, cut into 8 sections with many interconnecting roads, from dark alleyways, shops, bars, and Familia homes were everywhere. Still as massive as the city was in led to one place, the massive one of a kind dungeon that sat at its center, the place adventures seek to conquer while growing stronger.

"Only been there a few times, didn't really care much at that point all I could do was swing a sword.. hopefully I won't have to every again. Sorry old friend." Major spoke to his sword, he had already concealed it with in his cloak, there was no way Loki wouldn't notice a gift she gave on another persons body.

Major changed directions over and over, making massive leaps roof to roof. There was no way he wouldn't remember the place he had been many times, the twilight manor, The Twilight Manor is a huge structure built on a small area of land. It has multiple tall towers overlapping and supporting each other, with the middle tower being the tallest. At night it seemed to have a touch of horror, looking at it from one of its towers, he couldn't help but be taken back to a time long ago.

Soon he shook his head as his eyes shined, looking at orbs walking around. They were people, he could see most were off alone. While a good few sat around a massive orb, smiling he moved to a window of a room he remembered, it was dark, almost pitch black but he still moved as if it didn't matter. Leaning back on the round coach as he let out a strange wave from his body and waited.

[Meanwhile]

The vanguard of Loki's familia sat around as they joked and talked. They all drank something, even if it wasn't alcohol, but the one who stood out the most was a red headed petite woman sitting on top of her own bar.

"What's.. what's wrong Ais? Why do you always, give me the cold.." the woman spoke as her cheeks were rosy, while she poked at the blonde girls cheek next to her. She was letting herself feel drunk as she was about to say more, only to straighten up. Her eyes moving to look down the large dark hallway, only for her to jump down in the next second from the bar.

"What the hell are you doing Loki?" An aggressive voice said, he was pass the point of drunk but said what everyone was thinking as Loki just stopped smiling, and was looking into the dark with a strange look.

"Huh? Oh, it's nothing just drank a lot. You guys enjoy yourself, I'll be back In a few minutes." Loki, hearing her familia turned around with a troll like grin, she then grabbed her beer and moved out of the door, not seeing, or caring as everyone's face was dumb founded. The only one who looked strange was Ais who tilted her head feeling a strange force.

[5 minutes later]

After waiting for a while, the man major who was looking out of the large window, turned his head from the moon as he looked at the door open. His eyes seemed to shake as his heart tried to melt as he looked at the barely clothed red head at the door, her eyes forever closed as she looked at him with a smile.

"Strange.. I didn't think someone would try to kill a goddess? Or is this an audition? Either way, your really terrible at both." Loki said with a small laugh as she looked at the hooded man, her words playful but she couldn't hid the anger in between each word she spoke.

"It seems the joking god, really isn't good at it." Major said with a shake of his head as he put out his hand, as if asking her to sit.

"Damn, is that so? I thought it was pretty good, well guess I lost my touch." Loki said falling back into the chair, her leg up and open as she drank from the beer mug. Her other hand holding her head up as she looked at the young man who pulled down his cloak hood, revealing a young face, black eyes, and long black hair, that reached his shoulders.

"I guess, or maybe.. you should try a little harder, could get better jokes out freya." Major said it as if it was second nature only to regret it right after.

Upon his words, Loki seemed to freeze as she opened one of her eyes for a second, it may not seem like much to anyone what he said, but as he did, his eyes seemed to soften and his lip moved into a very small grin, while she looked another face came to mind who use to say that all the time, yet she closed her eye and let it go.

"So? What do you want Mr.Cloak." Loki said drinking from the mug as she moved, to look at major as if she was finally done playing and wanted answers.
