Edwin gathered everyone in his office but was silent for a while. Lester finally broke that silence because he knew what had upset his friend.
"Edwin-"
"You should have told me!"
Lester sighed. "I know okay! But how much you can carry alone Edwin? You need help at some points. I am your best friend! Don't you trust me?"
Edwin turned to face him with a furious look on his face. "It is not about trust, Lester! But you should have told me because we have done nothing without telling each other first."
"Then I think it is time we change that tradition!"
The tension between the two alpha males grew, and everyone else shifted uncomfortably in their places.
Edwin remained silent, glaring at Lester before Lester walked toward him and held his shoulders.
"I wanted to help Edwin. And I will do it a thousand more times if it means I can help you. You can punish me if you want as my leader. But I know the purpose of my life and nothing, not even you can stop me from fulfilling it!"
