Ruth and Edwin stared at each other wide-eyed after realising that the place they were at was the same as Ruth's dream. Their eyes instinctively shifted towards Lester, who was talking about something with Rees. And Elsie was busy helping the guards.
Both of their heads turned towards the woods as their ears caught some rustling sound. The others must have heard it too, as they stopped working and turned their attention in the direction from where the sound came.
Lester took a cautious step ahead, his eyes trained ahead. Rees was instantly by Edwin's side, ready to defend him and Ruth against the danger.
Edwin had his body tensed and ready to shift. Ruth was ready with her eyes blazing in orange.
Elsie held her breath, watching the branches move. They all were about to pounce on the enemy but were taken aback when someone else emerged out of the woods.
