Aurora sat beside Darius's bed in his bedroom with a worried face and misty eyes. She had his hand held in hers as she cursed why she wasn't there to protect her son.
Ambrose entered the room to see his wife's state. He was upset with what happened with Darius. He too wished he was there for Darius. Because if Darius hadn't made it through it, then the Garfields would have lost their claim on the title of leadership in the Vampire world.
Without Darius, who would have fulfilled his dream, the goal for which he was waiting all his existence?
He walked over to his wife while glancing at Darius. Ambrose cringed visibly, watching his son's state. Standing beside Aurora, he placed his hand gently on her shoulder before squeezing it lightly.
And that broke Aurora's bunds of patience. She held onto his hand and made a way for her tears. Ambrose didn't remember the last time he had seen his wife crying like that.
