Thea and Rees were getting ready for dinner at Rees's parents' home. Mrs Welby wanted to see her children, especially now that Thea was getting better than before. She was putting on her earrings and looking in the mirror while Rees combed his brown hair standing behind her.
He noticed that she was frowning more than she should.
"Thea, what happened? Why do you look like you want to punch someone in the face?"
"Because I DO want to punch a certain someone in the face!" She confirmed his doubt.
The humour subsided as he asked her seriously. "And who is that?"
"That witch! Sophie! And now don't lecture me again on using that W word." She warned him before he repeated his futile effort.
"I won't this time because I feel the same." He grumbled, mirroring her frown.
Thea turned around in surprise. Her fearless warrior husband was a soft-hearted man when it came to wishing bad for people. And when he thought bad about someone, then they must have crossed the line.
