"Thank you!" She smiled before she pointed at the cub's abdomen.
"Do you see these greyish-red patches here?"
"Oh yes. They are also present on his back. I didn't first notice them as they were covered under his fur. I wonder what they are though?"
"Maybe it's an allergy." Laila quipped excitedly, but when the man caught her gaze, she was silent instantly.
"No, Laila. This is not an allergy." Mrs Payne smiled at the girl.
"Ohhh" Laila felt embarrassed that her guess was wrong. She only wanted them to know that she was smart too.
Guess she needed to focus on her education more.
"Don't you think they resemble something?" Mrs Payne asked the physician.
He thought about it for a minute, analysing those patches closely.
His eyes widened as he exclaimed. "They... they looked like the marks after the blood is taken out of the body."
