A Martial Artist Among Gods

Callum was the strongest martial artist in the world. That he knew for certain, as he had searched for years to find someone to equal him and found no one. He just wanted people to share the beauty of martial arts with, and yet all the humans he fought with were either fakers or not up to par, and all the monsters didn't use any form of technique at all! But that all changed after one faithful fight with a giant feathered-snake, when Callum realized that if he couldn't find a worthy opponent, then he would make one himself. And with that resolution made, Ryozanpaku was born. Though, for a supposed 'gathering place of martial artists', it had an awful lot of gods, godlings, and magicians occupying it. ---o0o--- This is a multiple main-character story, meaning that although Callum was the one that kicked everything off, EVERYONE in Ryozanpaku is a main-character. This is a story of how characters will effect their respective plotlines if they knew superhuman martial arts. This is AU because it's been a while since I read the books so I don't remember everything, and because this is a crossover world between the Riordanverse and Kenichi. Percy Jackson/Kane Chronicles/Heroes of Olympus/One Punch man/Seven Deadly Sins/Histories Strongest Disciple Kenichi crossover. Cover art by Itachi-JJO according to DeviantArt where I found it.

Histories Strongest Martial Artist Callum!

Callum wasn't your average human.

He was human 100%, don't get him wrong, but that didn't mean that he was a NORMAL human. No, from the young age of four he knew that he was different. Just that sentence alone should clue you in on what exactly it was about him that was different.

That's right... he was WAY smarter than any four year child had any business being.

When he was four years old, he already knew how to read, write and talk on the level of a high schooler. And the weirdest part? He could do the same in Japanese. A language which he had never heard come out of anyone's mouth before the day he spoke it.

Now, his mother was Japanese so he looked like a Japanese person, just with blonde hair from his dads side instead of the usual black or brown. However, she was raised in America and never spoke Japanese in front of her child. And Callum was pretty sure that languages weren't genetic so he had no clue how he had learned it. Though, he also had no clue how he knew THAT, since he was never taught anything about languages or genetics.

Other than knowing things that he definitely shouldn't have known already, Callum was also a genius in other fields as well. So much so that he had graduated highschool by the age of eleven and had collage by twelve. He learned so fast that it was almost like he was just reviewing things he already knew.

But despite this, he never felt any passion for any of it. Science, language, history, none of it could get him excited. None of it could challenge him. Nothing could challenge him.

But that all changed on his thirteenth birthday.

"Stay safe honey." Callum heard his mom call from the kitchen as he was leaving.

"I will." He replied with a bored tone. Despite his tone though, his expression shone with depression rather than boredom.

He closed his back door and made his way through the streets of Manhattan, attracting glances along the way, but Callum didn't pay it any mind. He was very tall and muscular for his age, despite him rarely exercising. That combined with his youthful Japanese features and blonde hair gave him a very unforgettable appearance. A very recognizable one as well due to his reputation as a super genius.

Hurrying along he made his way toward the library, determined to find something that'll keep him busy. But suddenly he stopped.

'What is this?' Callum thought in confusion as he looked around, the people around him also confused by his sudden stop. Again, Callum payed them no mind as he continued to search for whatever it is that gave him that weird feeling.

He could still feel it too, but for some reason his senses couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. He felt like he should already know how to find the source of the feeling, but for some reason he couldn't. It was quite possibly the strangest and most uncomfortable sensation he had ever felt in his life.

Weirded out and a little excited at the idea of experiencing something new, Callum continued on his way, keeping his attention on the feeling. The source of said feeling also began to move, following him.

Though he new he shouldn't have done it, Callum's curiosity got the better of him so he turned down an alleyway, hoping to confront whatever it was that was following him. Now you may think that this was a stupid decision (because it was), but Callum didn't care. Anything that could possibly make his life interesting was welcomed, even if it was probably dangerous.

A few seconds later, Callum finally laid his eyes on the source of the feeling. It was a tall humanoid figure with muscles so big they were visible through it's trench coat. He thought that it might have just been a really tall bodybuilder at first, but that thought was quickly squashed when his eyes landed on the bull head.

"You! What are you? You smell stronger than any of these other mortals, yet nothing like a monster or Demigod." The cow thing demanded as it took a step closer, causing the feeling Callum was experiencing to strengthen.

Callum blinked in confusion, his eyes still wide in astonishment. Then he felt his heart beat pick up and hand twitch, his blood beginning to rush through his veins at superspeed in anticipation. This just served to confuse him more as his body didn't seem the least bit afraid.

"Well? Are you deft mortal? Answer me!" The creature yelled, taking another step closer and clenching it's fist.

"Minotaur?" Callum said out loud as he recognized the creature from the mythology class he took. Why was the Minotaur in New York? Didn't Theseus kill it? How was it even real in the first place? Unfortunately for him, none of these thoughts would be answered as he had already taken to long to answer the monsters question.

"You test my patience! If you won't answer, I'll make you answer!" The Minotaur yelled, deciding (as it often does) that violence is probably the answer to it's problems.

It took one final step forward and reached out at speeds far faster than a creature it's size should be able to move to grab the mortal by the throat.

Callum reacted before he knew what was happening, his body seemingly moving by itself as it turned on the spot, dodging the arm. Then his arms reached up, grabbing the arm who's owner was now positioned behind him, and took a step foreword, pulling on the arm and bending down slightly, moving his center of gravity as he did so. This resulted in the giant cow monster four times his size being thrown over his shoulder, crashing violently into a dumpster a dozen feet away.

He blinked, then blinked again, before looking down at his hands in bewilderment. How the hell did he do that? His opponent weighed at least a ton and was twice his size, not to mention he had never learned how to flip someone over his shoulder before, let alone practice it to the point where he could do it subco-

He was interrupted from his thoughts as his body moved on it's own yet again, ducking down. Confused, Callum looked up, only to fine an angry minotaur staring down at him, it's arm once again extended, but this time as a punch.

"Rahhhh!" The Minotaur swung it's extended arm downward toward Callums head, hitting the ground and cracking the concrete after Callum rolled out of the way.

'Right, I should probably focus on this right now. Come on body, let's see what you can do.' Callum thought as he took a combat stance. Well, that's what he assumed he did, since his body was still just kind of doing things without asking him first.

The Minotaur lunged again, bringing it's fist down on Callums head, moving faster than he had ever seen before. Luckily for him, his body HAD apparently seen something move this fast before and was able to dodge easily once again, pivoting to the right as he stepped toward the beasts body, brining his left fist back as he extended his right forward. For some reason, a name came to his mind as he did this.

"Mubyoshi!"

*Thud*

The Minotaur was once again sent flying as it's stomach caved in from the force of the punch, causing it to spit up gold colored blood as it landed, crashing into a wall.

Stunned by the mortals strength, the Minotaur stood back up slowly, and looked back up at the mortal in front of him. It was different. The mortals eyes seemed to almost glow like flashlights as it stood there, menacingly staring him down. The Minotaur had never felt this level of bloodlust from a human before, even the strongest of Demigods would be hard pressed to match it!

Grunting the Minotaur ran forward, deciding that there was no reason to hold back it's strength against its opponent, and punching with it's all it's might. The air visibly distorted as it's fist moved through it, and time seemed to slow to a crawl. The mortals bloodlust seemed to increase tenfold in an instant, before disappearing completely.

Then, just as it thought that it's fist had made contact, it was confused to find that it had missed by less than an inch! And why was the human glowing blue now? Then it heard it's opponent mumble something quietly under it's breath.

"Ryuusui Seikuken."

*Boom*

A muffled boom rung through the alley way as the Minotaur once again felt it's stomach cave in as it took a few steps back. Then it looked back up at the mortal standing there, an empty look in his eyes, and realized that it had just retreated while fighting a mere mortal! Anger overcame it and it saw red.

"RAAAAAHHHHHH!" The Minotaur roared as it began rapidly punching the human, each blow strong enough to send the average car flying, and fast enough to break the sound barrier. Yet, for some reason...

"Why! Why can't I hit you!" The cow-man screamed with rage as every single one of it's attacks seemed to miss by less than an inch, as if he was trying to hit the air beside the mortal rather than the actual mortal himself!

The mortal though, didn't respond, simply continuing to observe him with a completely calm gaze, void of any thought or emotion. He didn't even seem to be moving at all! Just standing there as the Minotaur's punches missed him.

Then he moved, turning his body and bringing his arm up, pointing four of his fingers toward the Minotaur.

"Kazoe Nukite."

Four strikes hit the Minotaur before it could dodge, the first three severely damaging it's internal organs with the last drilling straight through it's stomach. It took multiple steps back, golden blood dripping from both it's mouth and it's new wound. It brushed off the wound and was going to attack again, but didn't get the chance, as Callum was already in front of it again, crouching down, before kicking up.

"Korui Nuki."

*BOOM*

This time a massive boom rung out as both the concrete beneath Callums left foot cracked into a crater, and the Minotaur above Callums right foot was sent into the air from the supersonic attack.

*Thud*

The ground shook a little when the Minotaur landed on the floor, now too injured to move.

*Pant**Pant* "Damn, that was the most I've ever exerted myself before, and I don't even know what I just did!" Callum said, laughing at the end as the thin, translucent blue glow that had surrounded him disappeared. He hadn't felt this happy in years!

The Minotaur groaned as it sat up, it's entire body aching. It would be able to regenerate from the wounds if given enough time, but the pain wouldn't go away for a few days at least. Well, that is if it survived, which the cow heavily doubted after experiencing what the mortal could do.

"Hey! Minotaur! That was fun! I don't think I've ever felt this good in my life!" Callum said with a smile, eyes full genuine gratitude. Then he noticed the wounds. "Are you okay dude? I don't know much about mythological creatures biology but I'm pretty sure blood isn't supposed to be gold colored."

The Minotaur, while confused as to why he wasn't dead yet, realized that the mortal he fought somehow didn't know about immortals. "This is Ichor mortal, the blood of an immortal being. *Cough*" It finished it's answer with a cough of golden ichor to emphasize.

"Immortal? Ah, that makes sense. I had thought that you were killed by Theseus, so your being alive confused me more that you being real! I guess even he couldn't kill an immortal could he? Well, anyway, thanks for that! I've never been in a fight before so I didn't know that I would enjoy it this much." He said with a thumbs up as he turned around, only to look back for a moment.

"Also, to answer your question from earlier, I don't know why I smell different from other "Mortals" as you say, and I know that I'm not a Demigod or a monster, so let's just say that it's because of my genius for now. I'll change my answer if I find out more information later." And with that he turned again to walk away.

"Wait! What are you doing?" The Minotaur yelled at him, still unable to move.

"Uh... Leaving? Why?" Callum answered, confused.

"Aren't you gonna kill me?" The Minotaur asked, somewhat offended that he hadn't died yet for some reason.

"Um, no? You just said that your immortal didn't you? How would I kill you?" Callum asked, baffled by the tone in the Minotaur's voice, sounding almost like it was offended.

"That's not how immortality works! You can kill me now but my soul will go on to reform a new body in Tartarus!" The cow-man explained, seemingly not realizing that it was literally trying to help someone kill it.

"Well if your just going to reform later than why would I kill you now? From what I know Tartarus isn't a nice place and I imagine sending you there would just make you mad at me no? So whenever you do come back you would just try your hardest to hurt me in some way, even if you can't beat me in a fight." Callum explained, leaving out that he just didn't want to experience the aftereffects of killing someone, since he heard that it can cause nightmare, PTSD, and other mental illnesses for the rest of your life.

The Minotaur may not be human, but because he was able to talk to him Callum had already mentally labeled it as a fellow person, human or not. He didn't know if killing it would have the same effects on his mind as killing a human would, but he didn't want to find out. He just learned that he has a passion for martial arts after all! That means that he will have to start training to get better, and he would basically be shooting himself in the foot if he ruined his sleep schedule by killing someone and giving himself nightmares and possibly insomnia. Sleep is extremely important to physical development and training, so he couldn't risk it.

If his theory was correct, than other mythical creatures like the Chimera and the Hydra probably existed as well, so he might have to fight and kill those creatures at some point, and he was pretty sure he could since killing an animal wasn't supposed to have nearly as big a mental side effect as killing a person. But killing a "Person"? No, he didn't know if he was mentally ready for it or not.

"Can't beat you in a fight?" The Minotaur growled out, seemingly wanting to go another round, but unable to because of the wounds that were still regenerating.

"Well, no, obviously. Why don't you go learn some Karate or something? You didn't really have any technique at all during our fight, and you would have been a better challenge if you did. Anyway, I'm going now. Now that I know that I like martial arts, I need to start training! See ya!" He finished as he ran off, jumping a dozen meters into the air when he arrived at the crowd that had apparently gathered outside that alleyway during their fight.

"Learn Karate he says. Hmph. Like that'll do anything." The Minotaur grumbled to himself and winced, spitting out a little blood. "Though, I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a look at it, so long as I don't learn one of those fake versions of it, it might help at least a little. Right?"

"Callum? Is that you honey? It hasn't been ten minutes since you left. Did you forget something?" He heard his mother say as she walked into the hallway, freezing at the sight of him.

There, in place of the depressed look her son normally had on his face, was one of genuine excitement and joy. A look that seemed so foreign on his face that it was more attention grabbing than his muscles, which seemed to have doubled in size since she last saw him, or the golden liquid staining his clothes.

"D-Did something happen sweetie?" She asked, stuttering a bit as she came out of her shock.

"Mom! Do you know if there are any martial arts dojo's nearby?" He asked, ignoring her question.

"Martial arts?" She was confused, since when did her son have an interest in violence?

"Yeah, I just got into fight and it was exhilarating! I want to learn more about it." He answered excitedly.

"You got into a fight!" She half shouted, not believing what he had just said.

"Yeah, isn't it great? The entire battle was like a work of art! And it only lasted a minute at most! I need to start studying those boxing competitions on T.V. And learning about strategy! I've never been so excited about anything in my life!" He exclaimed, seemingly oblivious to his mothers apprehension.

"M-My son... No. Y-Your not a delinquent! You can't be serious!" She mumbled, tears forming in her eyes as she realizes that he wasn't joking.

"I'm going to start training! I can already think of a few good exercises that'll help me get stronger faster! I'll also be heading off to look for Dojo's tomorrow morning, so don't freak out if I'm not home." He said, running up the stairs to his bedroom to look for equipment he could use to train, to excited to notice that none of his questions were answered.

Or that his mother had collapsed onto her knees sobbing.

For the record, I have read the entirety of Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Kane Chronicles, Kenichi, OPM, and SDS, but I did so years ago for the first four, so my memories on them aren't the best. Because of this I have to use the wiki for a lot of things, so if I mess something, please tell me.

Anyway, as you can probably tell, Callum is the reincarnation of Kenichi. However, he is also his own person, as shown by how he likes fighting way more than OG Kenichi, and also is a lot smarter. The intelligence thing is because of the way Kenichi reincarnated, losing all his memories but having all his physical and mental abilities/techniques/experience added onto his new body. Key word ADDED. This means that Kenichi's I.Q and other mental abilities was added onto the I.Q of the original body, basically giving Callum an I.Q in the high 200's and other mental abilities to match.

The same goes for his physical abilities, but since the original body didn't have super strength it really didn't do much in that regard. As for the scent thing, that's because the soul is twice as powerful as normal, with half of the soul being that of an old man who had decades of fighting experience and a Shit ton of Ki.

Also, yes, I know Seikuken doesn't actually have an aura and it's just there for aesthetics, but I don't care because the aura looks cool so I'm making it a real feature. And if you're curious as to what the mc looks like, just picture a young Hayato Furinji.

Anyway, thanks for reading and please comment often. Comments are what keep me motivated to write more, so if you want more chapters, comment more often.
