“No kidding. I figured it was easier to buy you something, than go back to your place and find out you visitor was still there.”

She checked the sizes then looked at him again. “How did you know?”

Felan shrugged, turning his attention to Tonio. “Where’s everyone else?”

“On their way, I’m sure.”

“Felan,” Nina said quietly as she walked past him to go change, “Thank you.”

He nodded. “Always glad to be of service.” He flicked a finger toward the washroom door. “Get dressed. You’re flashing us, and that’s not what your brother needs to see.” When she quickly tuggedher nightshirt down, he grinned, watching as she hurried out of the room.

“I think you might have taken the first step toward getting her attention in a good way,” Tonio told him.

“That’ll never happen and you know it. Whatever her problem is with me, she’s not going to change hermind just because I bought her some new clothes.”

“And saved her life, to hear her tell it.”
