Indirect kiss

"Hmm I don't think I've been cold toward anyone tonight as of yet Miss Wang." Nikolai answered while keeping eye contact with Alice and added a grin at the end.

Alice let out a quiet laugh and was about to rebuke; however, Alaric then butted in, " Right he is not cold Miss Wang, he is just ruthless especially toward his exes."

Alaric said that while smiling in accompanied with a smooth husky yet playful tone. Which makes one finds it hard to figure out whether he is joking or telling the truth, or maybe even half both.

Yet Alice did not care about that, the husky, raspy voice, was ever so seductive to her ears that everything else blocked out.

After hearing Alaric's voice more clearly and longer, both Tsuki and Venus slightly smirked and secretly glanced sideways at their friend before acting casually again.

Due to the makeup no one could tell that Alice cheeks were flushed in a beautiful cherry blossom pink shade at that time.

Since it is a dinner, everyone still had to be on their best behavior so Alice started to talk with Alaric.

Both did not know why, but it felt like there was some type of connection where their conversation was extremely comfortable. Which led for the two to continue interacting with each other, making the air now seem very suggestive of romance.

This makes it more awkward for Nikolai and Tsuki as both did not know what to do. So they just focused on the food.

Seeing that Nikolai did not even interact with her, Tsuki was very irritated.

"He was just acting friendly with Alice before, and based on rumors shouldn't he be nice and flirty to all girls. Am I too ugly or something??" Tsuki thought, and as more time passed by, she got more annoyed and started to pick on her food.

Seeing the serious and annoyed look on Tsuki's face, it somehow irked Nikolai. He wanted to ask and interacted with her but he stopped himself so as to not get involved.

Both then just had a deadpan expression on their face as they continued to finish the food.

For Tsuki, in every-plate, there is always the best and most appetizing looking piece that shines in her eyes. This would make Tsuki become bewitched and try to get it.

As Tsuki saw the last piece of bacon wrapped shrimp left in the plate, her chopsticks headed for it immediately. This was the piece that shine more than anything, it is the last piece. Only food lovers would understand the delectable taste of the last piece.

However, as the chopsticks reached the shrimp another pair of chopsticks also simultaneously landed on the bit.

Tsuki looked up and recognized that it was the same person who stole her piece of food before. Not wanting this to also be lost, Tsuki smiles graciously at the man with sparkling eyes that were saying, "Please?".

Although the man who saw it practically felt like his entire gray world became brighter with sunshine, he did not let go.

Unconsciously, he wanted to see her annoyed expression.

Tsuki could no longer wait as the two pairs of chopsticks were practically placing down their pressure and trying to dragged the piece toward each person's respective plate, so she spoke, " Now Mr. Wu seems just as what the rumors had painted him as."

Tsuki ended it with an enticing smile that also had a small hint of mockery within it. Feeling amused, Nikolai answered, "Oh, I don't think I am being that charming am I?".

This made Tsuki's blood pressure go higher so she grinned her teeth while smiling and replied, " Oh certainly you are, I mean where would I ever find a man that with the generosity of a much indulgent child."

Never in her mind did she think he would burst out laughing, and responded, " Little Strawberry, you certainly are very daring hahaha..."

His laughter sounded like a magnetic wave of ocean that had washed all the negative energy Tsuki was feeling so she laughed along with him too.

Yet even when the laughter ended, the two pairs of chopsticks were still on the piece of food. Feeling bad both let go.

Nikolai was not a douche so he would not stoop so low as to steal a girl's food. It was accidental at first but he continued the battle due to the selfish reasons of wanting to see her reactions. Now that it ended that way he did not want it.

Tsuki also no longer felt super attached to the piece of food now, and felt bad that he let her have it so she offered it back to him.

The both played a game of pushing for a while, where one said "You can have it" while the other world responded, " No, you can have it".

If the others were not so busy with their partners, they knew their friends would teased them to death. Nikolai although is very playful, he is a very manly man who would not say such cringe worthy cliché sentences. Tsuki was also the same, she is rather sarcastic, and her way of loving others is through teasing.

Knowing that this pushing game would not come to an end, Nikolai used his chopsticks and picked up the piece of food.

Although this was what Tsuki wanted, she could not help but feel disappointed. Rather than feeling sad about not getting the food, she was a little down because with this move, he ended their little cute game.

Then suddenly a swift smell of tobacco reaches and embraces her senses. Looking up she saw Nikolai face even more closer, "Boom boom" she could feel her heartbeat racing so fast that she could barely control her hands from reaching her chest to hold onto it.

One... two... three, a piece of food was delivered at the peak of Tsuki's cherry lips. Unconsciously, she cooperated with the person's actions and opened her mouth to take in the food.

After that the man retreated and sat down again to resume eating.

Sometimes he would casually talk with Tsuki, and at random times the people in the table would chime in with each other.

However, Tsuki's mind was nowhere within this setting, it was floating on cloud nine.

"Did we just have an indirect kiss? Oh my god indirect kiss with such a handsome man, hmm even if I died tonight it'll be a happy death..." Tsuki conversed in her head.

Meanwhile, Nikolai although acting casually was having a hard time grasping his actions.

So he scolded himself mentally, "What the hell was that? No you cannot do this Nick, it would be the end if you made that girl cry.".

He shivered thinking that he would ever hurt an innocent girl's heart by playing with it or the thought of Ace hunting him down as revenge for his lover's friend.

A lot of thoughts ran through his brain at the moment yet, the indirect kiss never crossed.

He was just too experienced to think much about it, and especially since Tsuki being such a pretty girl, he would never thought that this would be something that could excite her.
