Chapter 56

"oh no... Daddy this is not Cassandra, you took the wrong person!" Diana exclaimed.

"The wrong person?" Mr. Robert was shocked.

"Yes daddy, how did this happen?" Diana was confused.

"But we went to the the place you told us. And this is the girl we found there" Mr. Robert was getting angry.

"I saw when they took Cassandra. I was sure it wasn't Jane" Diana said.

"Jane? You know this girl too?" Mr. Robert asked.

"Yes, she is Cassandra's friend" Diana replied.

"Cassandra's friend?... I see..." Mr. Robert was thinking of something cunning.

"We will keep her here" he said firmly.

"But this is not the person you want" Diana said.

"I know... But keeping her here will help us find the girl" Mr. Robert sounded sure.

"How?" Diana asked

"Diana... You have done your part, leave the rest to daddy " Mr. Robert replied with a smile.

Cassandra sat down thinking about everything that happened previously, 'how did I get there?' She wondered. She remembered taking a different way back home and waking up in a strange place but how she got there was a mystery to her.

"Liam... You caused this" she murmured and then recalled seeing Liam and Diana hugging. The memory made her heart squeezed in a very painful way.

"Hey..." Liam came into the ward smiling widely... Cassandra felt her heart stopped beating for a while and then started racing wildly as his smile threw her in a dazed state.

"Are You ok?" He asked and placed the back of his palm on her forehead. Immediately she snapped back to reality.

'No... I won't fall for this' she said inwardly and pushed his hand away.

"What's wrong?" Liam was confused.

"Nothing..." She replied with a straight face.

"Cassandra..." Gabriella ran into the ward and hugged her friend.

"Hey...." Cassandra hugged her back with a smile.

"Where is Jane?" Cassandra asked after pulling away from the hug.

"Jane.... They took her away" Gabriella said with so much difficulty.

"They took her away? Who took her away?" Cassandra asked.

"Cassandra, after we found you.. We discover that someone was also after you so Jane decided to impost as you" Gabriella explained.

"Why didn't you guys try to stop her?" Cassandra was getting worried.

"Cassandra, she insisted." Liam replied and Cassandra glared hardly at him with a 'who asked you to talk' gaze. Liam felt confused and sad. Why is she behaving this way?

"We have to find her" Cassandra said.

"But girl... They are after you, You have to stay away from this for now" Gabriella was hoping she won't insist.

"After me? What for? I haven't offend anyone" Cassandra said.

"You just have to stay away from this please...." Gabriella pleaded.

"No Gabriella, please don't tell me to stay away" Cassandra felt her eyes stunk and her throat burning. She tried so hard not to cry or else Gabriella will be more worried.

Mr. Leonard sat down leisurely as he sips his drink. Although there was no expression on his face, he was making plans on how to get Jane. Just then Gary send him a message which says: 'Robert is out to see Laura and might not be back anytime soon. I guess this is the perfect time'

After reading the message, Mr. Leonard let out a small laugh then stood up and put on his coat.

"Uncle Leonard..." David called making him to halt in his steps.

"I need your help, I have to save Jane" he sounded determined. Mr. Leonard's lips curved up in a small smile before he replied.

"You came at the perfect time".
