Intruder
The sun was due to rise in a couple of hours.
Ebari stood in Varya's kitchen over a kettle of water boiling on the stovetop. He no longer wore his armor and his hair was loose around his shoulders. One of his large hands raked through his long auburn hair and he tossed it over his shoulder.
Sleep never visited him that night but he knew warm green tea would wake him up enough to continue on with his day as normal.
The entire night he watched over Varya as she slept and occasionally he checked on Basileus Jr, worried that harm would come to either of them due to the ships which had landed all over the planet outside of the castle.
He stressed over their sudden visit, wondering if it was going to be a rebellion but there was no evidence that anyone planned to attack.
