Chapter 45 CHAPTER 45: Meeting his eyes
“GLAD that you are answering my call now, Angela.”
“Do you need anything, boss?” I checked the clock, and it was almost six in the evening. Did he get his dinner? He’s having overworked again, that is for sure.
“We’re going to a party tonight,” he said on the line. “Come into the office within five minutes.”
“W-Wa—” But he ended the call without even giving me information.
Darn! How am I supposed to go to the party wearing this? And the worst, how am I going to change within five minutes?
The phone hadn’t got warm yet since he called and it rang again. “Come here now, would be better.”
“But I don’t ha—”
“No questions, no need to change anything. Just come to the office, ASAP.” He ended the call again after I made a protest.
I made a vast sigh. This will go to be hard for me.
I look like a rag right now and he wants me to go to a party like this? He’s really something. He is out of his mind.
Other than my phone, I did not bring any and the slipper I wore, is what I have.
