A Kiss From Darkness

Warning… Matured content. “Look at me,” he commanded, his eyes boring into her like black pits of venom. Lilith’s chest tightened as she stared at the floor and the room seemed to shrink around her. “Dinner with the devil is one thing. Staring at the embodiment of evil itself…quite another.” Dracula’s smirk widened, his fingers squeezing Lilith’s chin. “Oh, and do I frighten you, little one?” His eyes burned into her, piercing her soul like daggers “You see now the truth of my power. You thought you could challenge me, toying with my affections as though I were some lovesick puppy.” Lilith sighed, because despite the darkness that swirled around her, she found herself unafraid of Dracula. “Now, look at me, and speak what you have beneath your heart,” he commanded. Lilith’s chin lifted with a surge of defiance. "Dracula Beelzebub. You are nothing but a monstrous abomination." she hissed, her voice dripping with disdain. "A fiend of the lowest caliber, unworthy of even a moment of my time." Dracula raised an eyebrow as he smirked, impressed by her insults. "And yet, you cannot deny that I am the most powerful being in this room." Lilith sneered. "Yo… You deserves to be banished back to the bowels of Hell." Dracula smiled, his teeth white in the flickering candlelight. "Ah, but where’s the fun in that? I much prefer making life interesting for the mortals." Lilith's hands curled into fists at her sides, and she took a step forward. “Interesting?" she spat. "You call torment and misery ‘interesting’? You are a demon, feeding off the misery and pain of others." Dracula chuckled, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of mock surrender. "And what of it? What do you intend to do about it, little mortal?" ~~~~~ Meet Lilith Raziel, a young, beautiful orphan who was born blind. However, when a mysterious creature appears in the woods, Lilith’s life is turned upside down. Her world shifts from darkness to one filled with mystical creatures and the secrets of the underworld. On the other hand, lurking in the shadows, lies Dracula Beelzebub, a devilishly handsome man who relishes in the misery and demise of others. Beneath his charming façade lies a dangerous secret—Dracula Beelzebub is the devil incarnate. And he has set his sights on Lilith Raziel, a woman he’s determined to ensnare in his diabolical plans. _"To love a demon is to have your soul bound in chains of darkness.” — Lucifer’s Inferno. Struggling for life.

Morgana's face became puzzled as she stared at Lilith without uttering any words out of her lips.

After a minute, Morgana breathed out as she stretched out her hands towards Lilith's forehead in an attempt to check Lilith's temperature. "Are you sure that someone didn't smack your head?" She asked, and as she pulled out her hands from Lilith's forehead, Morgana began to scan Lilith's entire body while using her eyes.

"I fought with the interviewee and he didn't throw a book at me." Lilith typed as she sincerely replied to Morgana's statement.

Seeing Lilith's explanation, Morgana sighed as she shook her head sideways. "It seems that the interviewee had thrown a hard object that is currently making you delusional."

Lilith wanted to explain that it wasn't the case. She wanted to explain that it was just a book that was being thrown at her but she decided to keep her explanation to herself.

'Besides Morgana won't understand me even if I explain for the whole year.' She thought to herself.

The reason why Lilith believed that Morgana wouldn't understand was because she herself didn't quite understand what was going on with her.

'Could it be that the book that man threw at me has messed up my brain? Or could it be that I'm being delusional by imagining something that ain't real and far from being possible?' She asked herself.

Lilith was asking herself tons of questions when she felt the warm hands of Morgana that were being wrapped around hers. "I don't know what happened so I don't know how I'm going to comfort you." Morgana began, before pausing for a while. "While don't we go to a club today after I'm done with my work after that, you can explain things to me in detail," Morgana added while smiling as she stared at her friend with her beautiful emerald eyes.

Lilith smiled back as she stared at Morgana with her sapphire crystal eyes.

Lilith had realized that seeing the world with her eyes was quite cool ever since she regained her sight because she had no idea how lovely the world was when she was born blind.

On the other hand, she was overjoyed to learn that she has sapphire crystal blue eyes that appear to be formed from the deepest depths of the ocean.

Presently, Morgana gave Lilith's hand one last reassuring squeeze before releasing it. "I must return to work," she whispered, maintaining eye contact to ensure Lilith was fully attentive.

Morgana's gaze held a mixture of concern and curiosity, leaving Lilith with the unspoken promise that they would continue this discussion at a later time.

Lilith replied with a weak nod to Morgana. "Go ahead." She typed.

Morgana doesn't want to leave Lilith alone because she can tell from Lilith's blue gaze that Lilith was going through a difficult time.

"Would you be alright?" Lilith nodded in response to her question.

Morgana stepped out of the playground after receiving Lilith's encouraging nod, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

"It could be that I had imagined speaking," Lilith whispered within herself.

"You were simply being delusional, Lilith. You did not talk with your voice." She added to her thoughts as she attempted to persuade herself.

Lilith took a deep breath and began browsing through her phone when she came across an advertisement for an artist position.

"This is perfect." She muttered within herself as she quickly hit the click bottom button, which led her to apply for the interview.

Inhaling!

Lilith left the playground, took a cab home, and drank a painkiller before jumping onto the bed, sleeping like a starfish.

The loud sound of someone banging on the door of Lilith Raziel could be heard, and the person who was hitting the door appeared to be worried.

"I'm telling you, something might be wrong with my friend!" Morgana begged, her voice tinged with desperation as she addressed the landlord. "Her phone is ringing inside the house so please, can't you just break down the door?"

The clock had struck six, and Morgana, having just finished her workday, had made a beeline for Lilith's house.

She was concerned for Lilith, who might still be depressed about her unsuccessful interview.

On getting to Lilith's house, Morgana knocked on the door several times but there was no one responding to her.

She tried calling the phone of Lilith and likewise, there was no response from the phone call, but when she placed her head beside the door of Lilith, she could hear the phone of Lilith ringing from within.

Currently, Morgana was extremely worried because Lilith wasn't the type of person who leaves her phone at home whenever she ain't around because without her phone, she can't communicate with others.

"Sir, please break down the door. I have a hunch that Lilith is definitely insid…"

"Morgana, I can't just break down the door based on a hunch," the landlord, an elderly man, stated matter of factly.

His firm tone left no room for negotiation. "If you insist on breaking it down, be prepared to replace it with a new one," he added, turning his back on her and walking away.

Other neighbors were all staring at Morgana as they watched her in utter silence.

"Sir. Don't you have a spare key? Like a key that would give me access to Lilith's room?" Morgana asked, her eyes cast downward as she hoped that a positive response would be rendered to her.

The landlord scoffed. "Why are kids of this generation so stupid?" He spat coldly as he turned around to stare at Morgana with his eyes cold as the winter snow.

"If I had a spare key, do you think I'd be wasting my time knocking on the door?" He uttered before rolling his eyes as he turned around to continue his walk. "When you find your friend, remind her that rent is due. If she can't pay, she'd best start packing."

With his last and final words, he walked away.

Morgana sighed as she shook her head sideways. She hated the fact that those on the upper floor were just staring at her, without bothering to suggest how she could open the door.

Morgana forced her saliva down her throat as she opened her handbag and took out a hammer.

She had used the hammer at her place of work to repair the chair that she had accidentally broken a few days before.

With determination, she began pounding the door handle, and after several attempts, the handle dropped to the ground.

The sharp sound of the door opening broke through the air, but when Morgana stepped inside the house, she was horrified to discover Lilith battling for her life.
