But, who will experience the mirthfulness? Those who found who their hearts beating for? And, who will be in melancholy? Those people who end up having a broken heart? Or, the person who tasted Sky's lips is the one who will experience both?

Chapter 53

Ilang minuto na rin siyang umiinom at hindi siya kailanman nagsalita. Ako naman, I don't even know if how many times did I sigh. Hindi ko kasi mapigilan lalo nakapag naalala ko 'yong mga sinabi niya sa'kin kanina tungkol sa lintik na Veia na 'yon!

I was back at myself when my cellphone beeps. Andrei is calling me, "he—"

He cut my words, "hoy, asan ka?" he asked.

"Tss, don't hoy me, Boy Pandak, nasa bahay na ako," I replied. Sky looked at me for a second, he then went back drinking.

"Nag commute ka?"

Eh? Sasabihin ko ba? Tsk!

"Oo."

"Woah! Strong independent woman!"

"Tss, shut up! I'm used with it."

He just laughed, "tomorrow's Saturday. It's our gala day. Sa'n mo gusto pumunta?" he asked.

Oo nga pala, gala day na namin. Yeah, every Saturday lumalabas kaming tatlo, nagpupunta kung saan-saan, pero kapag busy kami masyado siniset aside muna namin 'yong gala. Pero, bukas tuloy talaga. Gusto ko sanang isama si Sky, kaya lang for sure may hangover 'to, so sa susunod na lang.

"Kahit saan lang basta libre niyo ko," I replied.

"Ano?! Butas na naman bulsa namin bukas?"

"Tss! Na naman? Kailan ba ako nagpalibre sa inyo, Boy Pandak, ha?"

"Hehe, hindi pa, nililibre ka namin ng kusa."

"Ewan ko sa'yo. Sige na, ibababa ko na 'to. Kitakits bukas."

"Sige! I love you, Honey! HAHAHAHA!" ayan, diyan siya magaling ang daanin sa joke ang nararamdaman niya!

"Sira," iyan na lang 'yong nasabi ko, tsk! He then told me to end the call. Si Andrei talaga, nakakainis!

"Was that Andrei?" Sky suddenly asked. Akala ko nakatulog na siya, eh, ang dami na niyang nainom.

"Yeah," I replied.

"You know what...I really admire your friendship...you know that he likes you, but still, you bond like merely friends," saad niya. Medyo nahihirapan na siyang magsalita ngayon, lasing na 'to.

"Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit. Sadyang komportable ako sa kaniya kahit minsan nakakaasar 'yong pagmumukha niya."

He just chuckled and continued drinking. We no longer conversed and minutes after, his phone beeps, "can't read it...who's calling?" he asked.

He let me see whose name is on the caller ID, "your Mom," I replied.

"Could you please...answer her call? I'm afraid...she knew I'm drunk," he uttered. Naku, lasing na nga talaga halos pumipikit na 'yong mga mata niya.

"I'll put it on a loudspeaker so you can hear our conversation, okay?" he just nodded, "hello, Tita?" I greeted her as soon as I hit the answer button.

"Who's this?" confusion can be recognized in her voice.

"Si Hillary po ito. I'm with Sky and...friends," he looked at me, then he smiled bitterly, tsk! "we're having a slumber party po sa'min, Tita, it's my Kuya's birthday po kasi. Pasensya na ho kayo at 'di nakapagpaalam si Sky. Biglaan po kasi 'yong invitation."

Sh*t! What a great liar am I!

"Gano'n ba? Asan ba si Sky?"

"Nasa washroom ho, iniwan niya po kasi 'yong cellphone niya kaya sinagot ko na."

"Ah, okay, Hillary. Sige, sabihin mo na lang sa kaniya na tumawag ako."

"Sige po. Hmm, does he need to call you po ba when he came back?"

"No need. Matutulog na rin kasi ako. I am just worried kung asan siya ngayon dahil anong oras na, but knowing that he's there makes me placed in an easement."

"Ah, mabuti naman po, Tita."

"Okay, sige na, enjoy kayo riyan," then, the line went dead. I gave him his phone right away.

"Thanks," he said.

"No worries. But, you're gonna treat me for making white lies," I pulled a joke.

He smiled...genuinely! Yes, he did, finally! "Sure...treating you...isn't enough to show...my gratitude, Hillary," he replied.

"It's more than enough, Sky. Tsaka, we're friends, it's normal that we're gonna help each other."

"Yeah."

"Are you now wanting to sleep?" napansin ko kasi na papikit na talaga nang tuluyan 'yong mga mata niya.

He nodded, "where am I gonna sleep?" he asked.

"Tara, ihahatid kita ro'n," tumayo na ako at aalis na sana, but I just remembered that he's damn drunk, he no longer can manage himself to walk alone. I helped him stood up and also walking through there. Mas mataas siya sa'kin at mabigat din siya, pero nadala ko naman siya sa kwarto nang maayos. Good thing may visitor's room kami rito sa first floor at 'di na kami aakyat upstairs.

Nang masiguro kong maayos na siya ay saka ako nagpasyang umalis na dahil inaantok na rin ako. Kaya lang, bigla niyang hinawakan 'yong kamay ko. Sh*t!

"Stay," he uttered while his eyes were closed.

"P-Pero, matutulog na rin ako, Sky, eh," I replied.

He opened his eyes and stare straight to my eyes! Sh*t, men! I am wanting to smile so damn wide for an unknown reason!! I was back to reality when he smiled and said, "okay...good night," then, he closed his eyes again.

I shook my head, then I get a chair. Tsk, hintayin ko na nga lang hanggang sa makatulog siya.

"I thought you're leaving?" then, he chuckled.

"Tss. I'll stay until you're finally sleeping."

"Thank...you."

I no longer give him a response. It's been how many minutes, I keep on yawning, I really am so sleepy, but I am still here, waiting for him to finally have his sleep. I walked closer to him to check if he's now sleeping, and yes...tulog na nga!

Finally! I can now have my rest.

But...I suddenly stare at him, "too handsome to be fooled," I uttered. Then, after a minute, I kissed the tip of his nose! Akala ko hanggang doon lang, but damn sh*t, t-tinatawag din yata ako ng mapula niyang labi!

Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t! I'm sorry, but yeah, I tasted it!

Lumapit akong muli sa kaniyan saka ako bumulong ng, "a kiss for Sky from Hillary, the hideous," then, I left, smiling like there's no tomorrow!

HAHAHAHAHA! I've been wanting to do it, but only to kiss the tip of his nose! And finally, I did it!! May bonus pa! I'll be sleeping so damn good tonight.
