"How is that my business? You can believe whatever you want," Jace sneered.
"Alright. Since you refuse to admit it, there's no problem. I have enough time to wait for the D-day," Caden said but his mind went back to what Jace had done and he sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"Jace, do you realize what kind of trouble this is going to cause? How are we going to explain this to Dad?"
But Jace leaned back in his chair, seemingly unbothered. "There's nothing to fuss about, Caden. He got what he deserved and Dad will understand."
Caden shook his head, worry etched on his face. "I hope you know what you're doing, Jace."
"I always do," Jace replied calmly, turning his attention back to his papers.
"I hope you have prepared a good explanation to justify your actions when Dad demands for it."
"Is that even worth fussing about, if you don't have anything important to talk about, you can get lost, I still have some things to sort out."
