Liyue Harbor was frankly put. Fucking massive.
Just like how the island city of Mondstadt was easily ten times bigger than it looked in the game to support its far larger population, Liyue Harbor was a sprawling mega-city that was utterly massive as it sprawled across the Liyue coastline for several dozen miles and the city stretched well into the mountain range of Tianheng.
"Well let's land and explore the city," Paimon called out excitedly as I brought the Anemo Hypostasis down closer to land.
"I imagine my old friend Yanfei is going to be on looking into information on her cases on the docks so let's go there first. We can resupply on the local food and Jake you should have enough money to get a better space bag. Liyue has much greater artificers than Mondstadt does." Eula said shrugging at dismissing her prior nation's magical items creators.
This honestly made sense as Mondstadt's magical item leaders were only Lisa and Albedo, but Lisa only made stuff basically for the Knights of Favonius. Albedo was probably capable of making magical items quite easily, but he was a researcher who probably wouldn't stoop to the level of selling his inventions and creations other than his highly prized art to fuel his expeditions.
'Where should I look for magical stuff for sale Eula?" I asked as I had no such foreknowledge of in the game and the Spindrift Knight hummed in thought for a moment before she snapped her fingers.
"The luxury district just beside the Liyue Qixing's business bureau will probably have what you need. Just ask for space bags and they will likely point you in the right direction." Eula explained and then pointed out the large castle-like structure that was the Liyue's main business building that wasn't the flying megastructure that was flying over Liyue.
I wondered when we would go up to the Jade Chamber but with how trouble was going to inevitably follow us. I had no delusions of Ningguang not calling us up there for one reason or another.
"Jake you fine to separate for a bit? We will wait for you at the edge of the docks over there when we finish our business, or we cannot find Eula's friend Yanfei." Lumine spoke up and I looked over to the Docks and shrugged as getting a chance to wander Liyue Harbor alone for a bit could be interesting.
"Actually, let's just meet up at that Liyue Dragon's Hoard hotel after we are done. We can get a good meal and a room. Because even if we don't make contact with Yanfei, we will have a place to stay and frankly four people abruptly asking for a place to stay for a few days without notice would be rather rude." I spoke and both Eula and Lumine nodded in agreement.
Noelle may have been a sweetheart and opened up her home to us, but Yanfei may not even have enough room for us anyway.
God, I cannot wait till we get the Serenitea Pot, then we won't have to waste all our money on hotels or feel like a bum when we crash in a friend's place.
"Paimon is hungry from the flights so let's go find this Yanfei girl and get some food!" Paimon yelled to get us moving and thus our group of four people split up as Eula went to go look for Yanfei, Lumine, and Paimon went to go get supplies that we couldn't get in Mondstadt due to it closing in our faces. And I went to the luxury district as I desperately needed a bigger space bag as mine could barely hold my sword swords and more Mora.
"Hello, do you know where I can get higher-quality spatial bags?" I asked politely to a lady that was running a dishes shop with tea sets that cost more than a hundred thousand Mora...
"Hmm? You are a refined adventurer I see." She said nodding as she took in my Schnee-style clothes and then she coughed as she looked around her store with only a couple of older ladies within looking at a couple of teacups.
Taking her cough for a hint for me to buy something if I wanted any information, I rolled my eyes, and then after a moment of thought I picked up a nice large coffee mug made out of thicker materials but it had Cryo ice designs on it so I thought it could make a decent gift to Eula who literally lost her apartment and everything within.
"That will be fifty thousand Mora for just the cup! If you like, for the discounted price of One and a half million more Mora, you can get the complete set that has a matching tea set for each of the worlds Archon's elements that will change with the temperature of tea or other drinks taken in the cups if they match the materials used in the cups as these cups were made by the magical lacquer users of Sumeru." She explained gleefully as she imagined suckering me out of a million-something Mora...
Although tea sets that changed with the temperature and contents within the cups were undoubtedly cool, I bet I could get a matching set from Sumeru itself for like a tenth of the price.
"What does the cup do? And where can I find the space bags?" I repeated the pointed question and hearing my unspoken denial for the grand set the store owner pouted for a second before she coughed.
"Ah well the Cryo cup will have the icicles on the side move and fall down as the Cryo crystals were used in its creation and the cup will keep drinks cold for days even without a lid, but Hot drinks will only stay hot for a short amount of time within the cup. Now as for your prior question... Lady Yinger has what you're looking for, but she is an odd one." She said and I died a little on the inside hearing I would need to interact with Yinger.
"I see... Is her store still behind the adventure's guild?" I asked with an eyebrow twitching as I paid for the cup and carefully put it into my space bag.
"Yes sir, thank you for your patronage, and have a pleasant day." She said cheerfully with an actual smile reaching across her face as we both knew I was in for an awkward experience.
Because Yinger was the thirstiest character in all of Genshin Lore and she was only an NPC!
