"They look so strong!" Exclaimed the excited Alice.
"Of course they are," Bryn replied. "This is school houses the most talented of all the younger generation. A normal student from here is enough to destroy the best of other schools. You as the granddaughter of the Spear immortal should know."
"That sounds like an exaggeration," Ye Han retorted.
"That is indeed an exaggeration, there could be people out there that were not uncovered by Central. But statistically, it is still closer to the truth." Her eyes never left the five, as if she was analyzing their skills. "Especially these 5. Their abilities can be considered among the top 30."
"But they look-"
"…So stupid, I know. But I advise you not to be fooled by their idiotic façade. They may act like someone belonging to a mental institute but it's just an act to fool possible enemies and make them lower their guard when fighting against them."
'I don't think it's an act. These idiots won't have the extra brain cells to think of that kind of scheme.'
"But it's not their abilities that made them strong. Though each of their powers is unique and strong on their own, combining these abilities made them dangerous. In other words, it's their teamwork. Their abilities complement each other and it's a lucky coincidence that they are friends."
'A friendship of idiots. Wonderful.' Ye Han thought.
"I can't even be assured of my victory if I fought against the 5 of them combined. In this school, they are easily triumph against most of any 5 man team."
"They are so cool!" Alice said, her eyes glowing in sparkles.
'Stop over patronizing those 5. I've seen you wield with the spear and I'm 100% sure that you could wreck every one of them, 6 ways to Sunday.' Ye Han thought.
'You are the granddaughter of someone who is hailed as the embodiment of spear. Please stop acting in ignorance.' This is the only thought in Bryn's head. But her expression kept the usual coldness it has.
"By using that logic, if one of the 5 is missing from the team, I reckon that it would make the whole formation fall apart." Ye Han asked.
"You could say."
"Hey look! It's starting." The excited Alice exclaimed.
"Are they seriously going to fight inside the classroom?"
"No need to worry, I've deployed barriers." Bryn said as a glass-like barrier covered the fighter's "arena."
"You could've stopped them from fighting with those barriers right?"
"I know, but how could I miss a good show."
"Good point." Ye Han agreed as the two of them instinctually exchanged high-fives with each other.
As Jin floated into the air, his face appeared contemptuous looking at Jiang. "This is your last chance Jiang, surrender or face the consequences."
"I am innocent."
The pompous grin on Jin's face turned into a disappointed smile. "I see. You chose, death. Damn, I wanted to say that!"
"That was my line!"
"Shut up! Who's the one floating? That's right, it's me. Start the execution, David!"
"On it." David suddenly disappeared into a bright flash of light, leaving behind a crater full of cracks.
Jiang did not appear flustered with David's sudden disappearance. His chains then struck the position behind him as David reappeared back to his original position.
"He's chains already marked each one of us. Simple methods like that won't work against him." David reported.
"No sh*t Sherlock," Jin replied. "Ahmed and David, you two engage him. I'll provide the support. Shin, start the telepathic link."
"Roger."
"On it."
"Done."
"Start!"
David suddenly appeared in front of Jiang with a kick directed at his face. Jiang's chains blocked the kick David just smirked as he disappeared from his position. He was replaced by one of Ahmed's creatures. His chains and the creature traded blows. The other creature did not stay idle. With the help of David, it appeared above Jiang giving him a vicious axe kick. This strike was of course blocked by his chains. But the creature disappeared right after giving the failed attack.
Shin's job was to connect their minds via telepathy and relay information in real-time. It's not just the communication he's handling. Alongside with Ahmed's puppets, they're putting pressure on Jiang by engaging with him head-on. The ability of his eyes not only granted him with terrifying mental capabilities, but it also let him copy any martial arts he saw.
Jiang kept his composure despite 4 people attacking him. His eyes never left the hovering Jin. The two stared at each other, their expressions unyielding. But as their stare off continued, Jin smirked.
*whoosh*
Jiang froze as he felt an incoming attack. It was David, with his arms outstretched.
"Shin!" Jiang snarled.
"Don't get distracted during a fight. You forgot about my illusions."
No time to feel annoyed, Jiang conjured another set of chains successfully wrapping at the speeding David. He then forcefully flung him away across the room. But it was this moment of lapse that created the opportunity for the other 3 to pressure Jiang even more.
Ahmed's creatures spared not a single moment as they viciously pounced on the distracted Jiang. One creature successfully landed a blow on Jiang's chest but the creature could not retract its fist as chains wrapped around its arm.
He then threw the trapped creature towards its incoming partner. The two viciously crashed at each other.
But it was too late as Shin held onto him tightly, securely containing him. Beside him is a grinning David, his right hand touching Shin's back.
"Why are you holding on to me?"
"So that you won't escape."
"What you gonna do? Hold me until Jin right there charges his special attack and annihilate both of us. Thus taking me out with you as a sacrifice?"
"Exactly."
"This is not an anime Shin. What are you doing there huh, David?"
"I'm touching him so that I could teleport him away before it reaches us."
"Oh."
"Look, Jin has finished charging. See ya."
Behind Jin is a massive ball of fire reminiscent of the sun. "Have a taste of my special attack. Sun of Contradiction."
"That was a stupid name. Let me go!"
"Hmph, this is another reason for your demise, Jiang. You cannot appreciate my naming sense." Jin snorted. With a cruel smirk, he dropped the miniature sun on top of Jiang. "Goodbye, Jiang."
Shin and David also gave a slight nod. "Goodbye, Jiang." Out of the far corner of his eyes, he could make out of a cross sitting Ahmed presenting him with a solemn thumbs up.
"Damn you all!"
