Millions of years ago Dinosaurs ruled the earth, until one day ninety nine percent of all life on the planet was wiped out in an instant by an energy wave of unknown origins. Although the source of this mysterious energy is unknown it's effects were astounding.

All the worlds continents fused creating a super continent affecting the balance of the ecosystem. Forests became deserts and large deserts became forests, as a result various species of animals would either evolve to survive in their new environment or migrate to a more suitable habitat.

But, unlike all other remnant of life on earth early humans would benefited the most. The wave of energy affected them in a way different from other plants or animals, over time their genetic code would change allowing them to develop various unique abilities. These abilities which they named gifts, allowed their rise.

Over hundreds of years they built a thriving society where everyone was able to live a peaceful life regardless of how strong their gifts were. But where there is good evil will always lurk in the shadows! Corrupt individuals who only have their benefit in mind came to power and destroyed the once peaceful world. Now ones standing in society will be determined by the strength and usefulness of their gift.

But, like all cultures known today when tyrant rulers come to power there will always be those who reject and rebel against this line of thinking instigating a war.

This war would span decades halting the progress of humanity as a whole. Driving the people to name this period the desolate era. After sixty long years of fighting and innumerable deaths, one man stepped forward leading four others who went on to end the war in the span of a few years. He was so powerful he could raze a country to the ground. His name was Yuki Hisashi.

This man would put forward a candidate who would become the leader of the United world and went on to establish a system where leaders would be selected based on their ability to rule rather than the strength of their gift.

After nearly two hundred years, the world has been at peace. But like all things that peace must come to and end!
