My idea of good citizen

My idea of good citizen is quite simple.A good citizen is he who has all the qualities which make him a good Muslim.A good citizen understands well his duties towards his religion, neighbours,countrymen and country and guards his rights honestly and faithfully.He always respects the laws of the country.He never takes the laws into his own hands .He never forgets even for a moment that he is one of the members of the society and never above the law.He does not believe in the principle of might is right.He has no sympathy with the breakers of the law and anti-social and anti-national elements. He is always loyal to his county.He is always prepared to sacrifice everything for his country.

A good citizen always pays his taxes honestly. He knows that the government needs money to perform its function,to carry out the welfare plans and to maintain army to defend the country.This money is collected by levying taxes on the public.Those who do not pay their taxes honestly and in time,they betray their country.

A good citizen is a source of happiness for others.He has clean hands and sober habits He is a good neighbour,a good householder and a real gentleman.He believes in co-operation with others in good deeds.He helps the poor and the needy .He follows the principle "live and let others live".

A good citizen discharges his duties towards Allah and says his prayers regularly,pay Zakat,keeps fasts in the holy month of Ramzan, perform Haj if he has the money and takes part in jahad.

A good citizen is well-aware of the political situation of his country.He casts his vote freely in favour of a good, and honest candidate in the wider interest of the country.So he sacrifices his personal interest for the sake of his nation and country.

A good citizen always lives in peace with others.He has self control,common sense, knowledge about his surroundings,his country and the world.He does not feel offended if others do not agree with him.He stands for the rights and welfare of all the citizens.This is my idea of good citizen
