A Flugel's Gacha

An ordinary anime fan transmigrates into the world of Fairy Tail with a Gacha System and a sassy A.I Kouhai. He wants to become strong enough that nobody can mess with him ever again… And have a harem of girls, but he’s a bit too embarrassed to say that out loud. Updates (Hopefully) once per week on Thursday.

Chapter 10

I groaned and stretched as I finished up another training session, smiling with satisfaction as I looked at the new updates to my Status Screen.

Over the month since I'd had the idea of developing my own Eye Magic, I had succeeded in doing so. I'd named it the 'God's Eye' due to all the powers I planned to use with it. Thus far, I had only developed the most basic of powers that I'd taken from Naruto's Byakugan.

However, I had faith that I would inevitably find a way to develop other powers within the eye… I knew that Copy Magic, at least, was a thing. With my own memorisation abilities, integrating such a thing into my God's Eye was certainly possible. It would just take me some time.

Oh, but I had other plans too… Itachi's Mangekyo, Nagato's Rinnegan, even Shiki Ryougi's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception… The possibilities were endless, truly…

I'd also developed more Dragon Slaying Spells, successfully increasing my Star Dragon Slaying Magic up to Intermediate Rank… My guess was that if I wanted to push into the Expert Rank, I would have to develop my own Dragon Slayer Secret Art. Any more regular spells just wouldn't do it.

Metsuryu Ogi!

Hehe… I looked forward to it.

I stretched and fixed the area with my Rewind Magic once again- now much faster after all the practice I'd gotten with it- and lay down to stare up at the morning sky.

Another month had come and gone… With my focus on developing my God's Eye, I hadn't ended up going to the library in Crocus nor had I visited the one in Magnolia. Instead, I'd mostly put my focus into doing C-Class Missions and developing my Magic. I had successfully finished enough C-Class Missions for the Master to decide to promote me to B-Class, which was where I felt my 'peak' was for the moment.

However, with my promotion to B-Class, I was finally qualified to take on the Duke Everlue Mission to destroy the book 'Daybreak.' I would have to make enough noise during the mission for the Rune Knights to appear so I could show Duke Everlue's true face to the world, which would lead to him being arrested and then claim Virgo's Key for myself.

Luckily, I'd be able to restore the mansion to its previous state with my Rewind Spell, so I was not at all bothered at the damage I was planning to deal. Nor did I feel bad about taking Virgo's key from Lucy as a result of my actions, given she would still be holding nine out of the twelve Golden Keyes when all was said and done. So, yeah, no guilt from me for taking Virgo's Key.

I hummed as I opened my status screen and stared at my abilities… With Time Magic at Amateur, Star Magic at Intermediate, and my God's Eye at Initiate… I felt I was as ready as I could be for the mission to Duke Everlue's Mansion.

[And so, Senpai goes to collect his first waifu~] BB teased me as I took to the sky and began to fly to Magnolia.

'I think you're just jealous that I'm more likely to sleep with Virgo first than with you,' I shot right back.

She just smirked at me. [You may sleep with any number of girls besides me, Senpai… But we both know that if you ever get a taste of this body, there's no going back for you~]

'Bold talk from a virgin…' Unless she was from the Universe where the Ankoman Hentai Comics took place…

[Amusing thought, but I am not from there.] BB snorted in amusement. [That BB is a huge bitch. I know that I'm twisted, but she is incredibly twisted… Cuckolding her Senpai, encouraging other girls to cuckold him, and then erasing his memories whenever he finds out so that he'll literally never make a move? Yeah, no…]

Well, at least that confirmed that BB would not dedicate herself to cuckolding me… Which was more of a relief then it should have been…

I touched down outside of the guild, re-applying my transformation magic as I made my way into the guild. The warm atmosphere of the guild rolled over me, and I felt a smile crawl onto my lips as I made my way through, greeting people as I walked.

"Hey Ash!" Levy chirped as she walked over to me.

"Hey Levy," I greeted her. "No Jet or Droy today?"

She shook her head. "No, told them I needed a break for awhile to study magic, so they went on a mission without me…" She grimaced. "Don't tell them, but I really just need a break from them. I know they mean well, but it's really annoying how they always coddle me and treat me like I'm made of glass."

"You might want to have a serious sit down with them about it at some point," I told her. "Otherwise, that resentment is just going to build up and you're finally going to snap at them, and you might say something you don't mean."

She looked considerate before she nodded in firm agreement. "You're right, I've been putting it off too long… Either they listen to me and stop treating me like I'm made of glass, or Team Shadow Gear is going to be over. I'll never grow as a mage if they keep stopping me from having proper experiences."

"Good on you," I smiled at her.

She smiled back. "So, what have you been up to lately?"

"I've been working on my magic a bit more," I told her. "I learned Eye Magic and have developed my own variant… I don't have all the effects I want added to it, but I have a lot of useful benefits for my eye at the moment."

"Oh, that's interesting," she hummed. "Eye Magic is useful depending on how you develop it…"

"Maybe you could develop your own?" I shrugged. "Eye Magic sort of lets you add whatever effects that you want or need to it… So, with your speciality, maybe you could add something to help you analyse ancient texts faster? You know, increase your mental processing speed?"

"That's…" She paused. "That's really clever, actually! I might even be able to add an effect similar to Gale-Force Reading Glasses… Yeah, I think Eye Magic is a really smart choice! It may take some time but, overall, it will save me so much time!"

"I'm glad I could be of service."

She smiled. "Thanks for the advice… Are you going to head out on a job?"

"Yeah, that's the plan at least," I nodded. "I was going to grab that job about burning a book."

"Oh, the one for two-hundred thousand," she nodded. "A shame, I was sort of keeping my eye on that job… I was reluctant to do so given it involved burning a book, and I'm really not a fan of destroying knowledge…"

"Except the forbidden kinds, right?"

She smiled impishly. "Only if I get to peek at them first."

I couldn't help but let out an amused snort. "Well, at the end of the day, a job is a job," I told her. "And it pays pretty well too despite only being a B-Class Job, so I figured it might be worthwhile."

"Fair enough," she nodded. "Tell me how it goes when you get back. And we should consider going on a job together sometime soon, without Jet and Droy, alright?"

"Alright," I agreed and gave her a smile.

"Then I'm gonna see about developing my own Eye Magic too!" She smiled and headed towards the library. "See you later!"

I waved as she left, my eyes dropping to her hips momentarily before I shook my head and made my way over to the Job Board.

B-Class

Client: Kaby Melon

Location: Shirotsume Town, Zevon Mansion

Description: I need your help to destroy a book that has tormented me for years. More details upon arrival. Ideally a beautiful young blonde woman should be part of the group.

Reward: 200,000 J

I smiled and took the job off the board with a nod. This was what I was looking for… I didn't mind if I didn't receive the money, the real reward I was after was Virgo's Key after all. It was worth far more than the reward money and would more than make up for not receiving anything from the job- which I knew Kaby couldn't pay for given he and his family were pretty poor.

… Which, in hindsight, didn't make sense? Even if his father was gone, shouldn't the family be sitting on a bunch of money given his father was supposed to be a famous author who had written many incredible adventure books that made him very well known, to the point Everlue kidnapped him and made him author a book with him as the protagonist?

Eh, it was above my paygrade. All I had to do was wreck the mansion, grab the book and Virgo's key, hand over Everlue to the authorities, then return the book to Kaby so that it could activate its delayed letter re-arrangement magic and presto, job done.

… Granted, when I put it like that, it sounded a lot easier than it was. I knew this mission would be kind of rough on me, especially since there was no way that Everlue hadn't hired some mages for protection… And while it could be those brothers who were capable of reflecting fire attacks, there was always a chance it would be someone else.

I made my way over to the bar. "Mavis, I'm going to be taking this job."

"Hm?" She looked over and read the job. "Ah, the infamous destroy the book job that nobody has taken… It's been up there for quite a while… Are you sure you wanna take this as your first B-Class Job? It seems a like it might be a bit rough, and I'd be a bit more comfortable if you took someone along."

"This job requires me to be discreet," I told Mavis, a lie given I was gonna fuck shit up. "No offence to anyone in the guild, but the only discreet people- Lisanna and Mirajane- aren't here. And even then, the two are still known for regularly causing destruction."

She paused at my words, clearly unable to refute them given she knew exactly how the people in Fairy Tail were. "Alright," she agreed. "I'm still not entirely happy your first B-Class job will be alone, but I do believe that you can handle it. So, I approve of you going on the job."

I smiled. "Thank you, Mavis. I'll see you once I get back."

She nodded and smiled briefly. "Be safe, okay?"

"How else am I going to eat your pasta?" I asked rhetorically.

She giggled lightly. "Get out of here you scamp!"

I chuckled. "Alright, see you later Mavis," I waved before I took the job and left the building, waving to others as I left, before I undid my transformation magic and took to the sky, heading towards Shirotsume Town.

It was time to start making changes in canon…
