You Aren't Just Anybody

What about Riley seemed nice? She had apologized for getting Dietrian all wet and sticky but that was basic politeness, wasn't it? Maybe he was as desperate for company as she was though. 

"Ah. You're new in town too? I've only been here a month and don't really have any friends yet. All my coworkers are way older than me," she admitted. "How long has it been for you?"

"Three days."

"For real? You're even more of a newbie than I am. Guess I'll have to show you around. Since you did buy me boba tea."

Riley wished someone would have done something like that for her when she first moved here. She had to figure it all out by herself. It was the least she could do since she felt bad for ruining his shirt, especially since he was so nice about it and bought her another drink. 

Dietrian smiled happily at her. "That would be great, thanks."
