I Never Said That!

Drew was relieved that Mila didn't fight him on taking care of her too much. Whenever she tried to talk him out of it, it didn't take much to have her back down. Even if it was only because she was too tired and in pain to argue with him, it still felt like a victory. 

She needed the help. There was no denying it. 

She couldn't bend down so she couldn't feed her cat or clean the litter box. She may not care about herself but she did care about Marshmallow.

Drew had been vaguely worried that she would feel that he was encroaching on her territory but that hadn't been the case. She had been hungry the first time he went over to Mila's new place and hadn't cared who she was getting food from. 

He sat down on the couch while the cat ate and hadn't been expecting her to jump into his lap and fall asleep there but that was what happened. He sighed and accepted it. Winning over Mila's beloved cat would only help his cause.
