Ch. - 4 Druid, Away from Home

As Mason began his Decent, slipping away from the war with his master. he headed to a forest out of sight and away from any human life. his power alone kept animals away for a time as they sense something sinister yet also kind.

gathered by nothing but trees now around them, Mason took the time to examine his body. and was pleased it was much the same as back on earth. His skin black, his body size and height still musical and tall. 6'3 and built like a heavy weight wrestler, he was glad he felt his body wasn't changed one bit. looking at his bare feet and then callus palms on his hands. he sighed as they were still blood on his body and over his palm. he was alive again, that he had determined. but one fact sickend him. he killed human. but not once did the weight of that fact hold him back. He knew exactly why. Even if he has never killed anyone in his last life, getting into fights, as a kid and as an adult, he couldn't hold back or be fragile. or he would have surly died many times before now.

"this feeling... of living again.. is so unnatural... but if it means I'll get to see my girls so be it... the only fucking issue... is I'm suck with this bimbo and what ever trouble she's in... then again... I feel like she was in my mind, but also every bit of me... I can't exactly abandon her... or who else what is gonna happen If some man find her alone unconscious like this... or woman... I'm fucking suck with her... dammit!" he memories flooded quickly about the past moments from his life as the anger he had only raged further.

"then I have this fucking voices... just what the hell did you do girl..." he voice was firm and rugged. dark yet soft. he looked at the woman and soon picked her up. "I saved your ass from who knows what the hell was going on... so you belong to me you damn..." he took a deep breath, and relaxed as he was already on edge. "Jessica... Jessica... Jessica... not a name I can't forget, just like my wife's. dammit I also need to thank her... but since I saved her I need the thanks... but also an explanation of what was going on... and where the fuck are we..."

"your in MY forest boy!"

A woman yelled as this Alerted Mason. he set the goddess down against a tree and stood up looking around the area but only saw trees in every direction. "FUCK YOU... and Face me... you don't sound pleased... if your want me out your turf make me..."

"what a foul tongue on you... I'll correct your manners...!" the wans voice yelled as vines soo attacked him but also grabbed the goddess holding her up along the tree spreading her limbs ready to tear her apart. he was held down my his legs to the grass at his foot and then more vines consumed and contorted his arms to force them along his back. getting on his knees Mason got also his mouth gagged and looked around calmly still.

the woman appeared as she was in all green skin, and covered her body with a bouquet of flowers from roses to daisies and jade vines illuminating her body. she was practically naked with her garden being the only form to conceal her body of lustful eyes. Mason stared directly in her eyes with a very menacing stare.

the woman walked over to him swaying her hips and bent over to look down at him. "the nerve of you... your tongue, manners and awful aura... it read death. you gave no place in this forest human... and then this poor maiden you have... is she your company? no... I bet you kidnapped her didn't you... humans are filthy..." she tightens her grip on his neck with a vine and brought the goddess to her side. "I'm a druid... I protect this forest and the life in it... I've never encountered something so dangerous as you... but I'm making the call to end you here and n-"

"enough of this..." through Mason own physical strength his ripped the vines away and freed himself to speak.

"enough of this..." firmly he gripped her neck and pinned her to a tree. "before I snap your neck I'm gonna give you a chance... your not human, so I don't want to kill you... and let me clear on thing... and I will not repeat this... I'm no longer human... and I never will be considered one again... do you understand?"

her body shook from his deathly grip and terrifying presence. and nodded as she couldn't speak, in fact, she knew better too. even if her body was scream, resist. fight. run away, she was helpless to do anything.

"Good girl... no let me explain myself... I know of your kind... and I'm glad you can confirm. your species. I have no idea what I am, but I'm the last thing to a human. she was rescued by me, I was summoned her. you following along... try anything and my grip my get too tight." he leaned in closer to her and grinned after she nodded. "good... very good... your fear is amusing." he let her go and then healed her bruised and harmed neck. "my name, Mason, she was involved in some trouble In the sky, I took us here... forgive me for trespassing... but I'm not a very good mood. I would explain, but that's non of your damn business is it... but now that I have you, you'll be of use to me..."

she was gasping a moment, but looked up to him shaking after her collapse from his overwhelming and authority like attitude. nodding she asked. "fine... but... If I'm helping you... Mason, you need to calm that evil aura... is distressing the forest and animals... not to mention... it might bring bad company to villages nearby."

"I don't give a single care about the village... they'll be burned down and killed... as for your first request, I cant... I wouldn't know how... I forgot to mention but I was born a few hours ago... and the woman will explain herself when she wakes up, I hardly know about herself... do you have an idea now on what help I need you with?"

she was collecting her senses and nodded again standing up. "yeah... I think I do... you need a place to hide right...? and I imagine you want to learn about the world... after being born... and the sight of blood on you... I can see you don't know much of where you are... so I'll help. I should apologize also, for suddenly attacking... I couldn't imagine your magical aptitude was also so great."

"what magic... I just used my strength to free myself... your vines felt weak and fragile..."

she was in disbelief and felt lost. "no... no way... my, vines were weak to you?"

"of course... now get your ass moving, or do you want us to be spotted?" he said spanking her ass to get moving as he then picked up Jessica and held her on his back.

the druid squeaked coming back to her senses as she nervously rubbed her bottom and walled in front of him. "this way! Sir...!" the druids attitude changed quickly.

folling her, Mason looked over his own shoulder to see Jessica sleeping still and slowly recovering. "why did you choose to attack me so suddenly? you could see how strong I was... was it really just the duty as the guardian of the forest to eliminate the threat?"

she was calming down, and slowed her pace.to walk beside him. "well... yes... but also no... there's a town here... filled humans... but, they also trespass, I made a deal with the humans, they could build and cultivate as long the forest isn't touch and I would eliminate possible threats for them as a mean of defense, though I act on my own free will, I just did what I though was reasonable. I apologize for my actions... I needed to take a careful approach..."

"You make it sound like you don't want me around... and this situation your in" Mason spoke hunting her tone to be foul.

"of course I don't..." she scowled at the ground afraid to look at him still. "Your a monster... your power is far from normal... and even for demons... my forest is in danger that longer your around. and if those humans sense you, they'll burn my forest to the ground" she said and soon felt Mason hand on her chin.

moving over in front of her, he stopped her. "careful with your tone... and it's rude to talk to about someone without looking them in the eye... not to mention very arrogant if you can't back up those words with your own strength... I want to make one thing clear little druid... I don't give a single care for humans... they will ALL be killed, if they don't submit to me. your forest maybe the only thing keeping you here, but I'll burn it before they do... I did mention I'm not from here right... I got nothing holding me down... except for one thing. and one only. this world will rot before I succumb to its whim and of anyones. they will die before it comes to that... if you want to live, then be useful. or is that to hard to understand. I'm not making things complicated. and I hate complex situations that do not favor me. so do as I say, and I'll be out of your way." his stare was his intense against her body. even if she was on the smaller side. his power alone was sickening and easy enough to feel nauseous. she swallowed her own spit and nodded.

she had hate in her heart. for powerlessness. and that was until this moment that she learned, she hadn't changed. once he leg go of her. she stepped aside and kept walking her head down again and her palm folded up to her chest together. As much as she wanted to refuse or resist aiding him, she still had to live for her own reason. she kept quiet a while again and began to do as he first instructed of her.

"I can start by explaining the area your in... and what exactly magic is... since you have no control of it... I can take a good guess you don't know about it. First Sir, magic is power, you know already don't you... and every living thing here on Tellus can us it. that's our world's name. however some people are born with weak or higher affinity for it... it varies person to person. no one is the same... and all of its elements can be used by anyone... though some some stick to what they know best or feel for most. that's for humans at least. there also happens to be many other races... you've met a druid and a human..."

"do not classify this woman as human... remember. we fell from above?" he spoke interrupting her.

"I don't sence her divine aura... all she is is a mere human now... the trees and life here even tell me... but you are correct... she isn't meant to be called one."

taking a breath after again feeling his angered tone. she spoke up. "another thing... there are three regions... one is rulled souly by demons... in fact they land are made up of dried and dead earth. nothing but a wastland if you would... like the war humans can make on there own when they always make wars among themselves. as for the other region... that's where we currently are... however it's filled with humans... other races are welcome and some even rule there own territories... but humans, have a slave system. so some of them are just pets. even along there kind and some from other species. it's pitiful... but it's how things are done here... then there is third region... elves rule over it entirely. with a single king and queen. they're race is especially advanced... and they are in good term with humans.. however however don't allow them or demons to pass over. so they are benefactors when it comes to trading and resources. elves land are full with mana and they're invention in weapons and other resources are always being bought and traded however there rumors of a war breaking out... between them and demons. and humans also may be planing to help or betray both sides just to rule over every region. this isn't confirmed however..."

suddenly stopping in a clearly, where a lake was, and a island in the middle of it that made a small cottage. she looked to him and pointed out. "and here is my home... please don't get conformable as you also said you'd only be a while" she said walking over stone plates that appeared to get to the island with him closely behind.

"Good to know Humans are shit no matter the era and time... but it is surprising, that this world has magic. my old one, hell even the many races or species whatever never excited... it was always discrimination against my skin, or here. or those of mixed. but here, if you were born poor or different that was all it took. and then with magic you could be something of yourself to completely change your way of life... let's just say, this world is a lot more kinder... but I can already tell it's far more cruel... but still nothing like my own"

he said, entering her home, and set the goddess down on her couch. Her home was made up of logs, but also had crafted furniture, chairs a table, lighting from a chandelier that was hanging holding candles that dimly lit the area as well for other parts of her home. they all had instinctively lit themselves without the sense of her magic power. as her noticed her then asked after standing up and looked to the woman. "Let's properly introduce ourselves..."

"what to start over?" she asked with a bit of attitude.

"no shit... or do you want to ruin your druid purity with the distasteful display you first had... you said you first interrogate your opposition... so were starting over..." he said to her, helping her keep her character.

"what's up with the chivalry..." she though to herself bit did also pick up his intention. she was acting out of herself from fear. she took a breath and then looked to him. facing each other now as individuals.

"I'm Mason. I was know before as a basterd... husband... master and survivor.... but I'm just Mason. A human who was reborn again. after having his family killed right in front of him..." he told her, as she felt a wave of realization hit her clearly. the person before her. the man she feared, was a victim to human society. she didn't understand why she could sense his pain, but also the very darkness in his heart. she stepped forward but a step, and looked at him in the eyes. "I'm just lowly druid... the name is Liz, and... I've earned nicknames. Among humans, I'm just a druid, but to some a blessing, but among my people I'm a deserter... or even just a mistake"

"good..."

"huh!?"

"now we can get along. Liz" he held out his hand to her. "Please teach me magic and house my woman here a while with me..."

she looked at his hand, but then up to him as she took it and firmly felt his warm hand. and how rough they were. "only... if you tell me who are... and help my forest... then your welcome to stay a while... and longer Mason" she was curious about this man. he looked to have a goal, a clear one that wouldn't waver, but it also felt like he was lost in fog. A fog so dense and dark no path fidner could guide one through.

"were both misfits... so it's only fair we can both watch over one another. it's a pleasure to meet you" he said, and with a careful ease let go of her hand. "for today why don't we just settle. no need to rush things..."

"but you mentioned... yeah okay" she thought about what he said much ealier. about his family. she was concerned now to what it was he was thinking after what he said in the forest about his family. he surly must have wanted to find them first above all and quickly.
