The home of destruction

(Yaboku)

These mountains were cold and desolate this time of year, but oh how I preferred it this way. Standing at the precipice of a jutted out ledge in the whistling wind this high up only left me with a view of the very tops of these disgusting trees. I'd cut many down in my rage over millennia, and I only grew more livid as I had no choice but to watch them grow back. I had refused to leave this desolate land long ago but I was not obtuse to the events transpiring below my feet. A new god of calamity had arisen in my absence; a corrupt samurai carrying the blessed cursed sword of Muramasa Sengo. Somewhere inside this soulless flesh I envied this Samurai.

An evil grin plagued the corner of my mouth as I set my envy of the boy aside and decided to use his plague of fate as my gain. If I knew anything of being a Yato-no-kami it was that it was almost irresistible to refuse an offer of destruction, especially from one of your own. The dead voices on the wind had even told me that the Muramasa had not left him untouched. The voices of the dead, the curse of the blade, and the demon blood flowing through his veins; a gift of a Shinigami in the depths of Yomi, drove him mad with an insatiable hunger for death and despair.

I also was not unaware of the disgusting feud between Amaterasu and her stubborn brothers, or their lost father who as I bit my long tongue to draw blood I could hear howling in the depths of Yomi-no-Kunai as we speak. I wonder what a once high deity like Izanagi would gift me for pulling him from that hell and exacting revenge on the very ones who trapped him there.

Such sweet carnage awaited me in the land of mortals and it was high time I joined in on the fun of the game the gods had unsuspectingly set into motion.

"It is settled...I will find this damned soul and make him an offer he cannot refuse. He will have no choice but to bow beneath the heel of the home of destruction. He shall do my bidding in the great game to come."
