Oliver shouted as soon as he ran out of the car and into the foyer. He did not even bother to wait for his parents as he barged into the living room where she was sitting.
Then, Oliver ran toward her, visibly excited to see her. For some reason, she could not explain. She always found herself looking forward to seeing him.
"Oliver, I was not aware that you are coming today." She opened her arms to the little boy, welcoming him in her embrace.
Honestly, she had raised two boys, but she had never felt anything like this. It was true. The first time she saw her grandson, she thought she could use him to manipulate her son.
But now, she just wanted to see him and enjoy his little company. Something she doubted she had done with her kids, but unfortunately, that was her fault.
