Double-standard Sims

Seeing that it was a video call from Smis, Arix quickly answered without delay.

"Good afternoon," Sims greeted, his eyes shadowed with dark circles. Despite his exhaustion, he forced a smile for his favorite little Moon Pie.

"When was the last time you slept?" Arix asked with a mix of concern and reproach as she looked at Sims on the virtual screen.

"Not long, just two days," Sims immediately explained, seeing that Arix was unhappy.

His explanation only made Arix's expression darker.

"Is the Chemistry Department busy again?" Arix asked, her face serious.

She knew firsthand how demanding the Chemistry Department could be. When things got busy there, it was like people were treated like beasts of burden.

Although Arix was just asking, she was already certain of the answer.
