~~~(POV: Ulysses Kennedy)~~~
~~~(Date: January 25th, 2026)~~~
~~~(Location: Hospital that William Jones is staying at, LA)~~~
~~~(Time: 12:35 PM)~~~
It takes longer to get through LA traffic than I'd hope. But Hannah and Bianca are getting along great. They're like friends already. We pull up to the Hospital, and I open the door. Hannah follows me out, and Bianca is the one that follows her out. "I can't believe this is happening..." Bianca starts to choke up again, and Hannah has to wipe away forming tears.
William probably never expected something like this to happen to him, and I hope it'll be a good surprise. Bianca leads us into the Hospital, and as we walk, people look at me weird. Some recognize who I am, but others just marvel at my height. "He's right up ahead." She starts to walk faster and closes in on the door before us, and she opens it and smiles.
She steps in, and we catch up after a couple of seconds. I have to duck to get into the room, and I see a little kid on the hospital bed. His hair is gone, he has several IVs attached to him, and he still looks like the happiest kid in the world. "Wow!! You're Ulysses Kennedy!!" I smile, and before I'm on my way over, I tell Hannah to start working on the Go Fund Me for William.
Hannah takes out her phone and starts to do her part. I walk to the side of the bed and get down on one knee. Now our eye lines meet. "Yeah, your big sister here was telling me all about you when she came to see me at Venice Beach. She even had me sign a card for you." He smiles and looks at his sister with a truly thankful look.
Bianca has done so much to help her little brother. She is doing it all on her own too. "Is it true that you've grown every year in all your school years?" He's a curious kid like anyone his age. He's probably never been to school before. While many don't like it, it's a place that you can go to make friends and enjoy the company of others around your age.
His question brings up some painful memories. Growing that much every year isn't something that feels good. "Yeah, but let me tell you something people to know. My aunt Ellie worked day and night to buy me clothes, and beds to always accommodate my size. She did that for me. Because she loves me. Just like Bianca." Bianca reminds me a lot of Ellie.
I'll admit, it's one of the reasons why I did this. Meeting little William here was the main one, but I guess I have a subconscious desire to help those that are like Ellie. "Yeah, big sister always works to make sure that I can stay alive! I promised her that I'd pay her back for everything she's done for me!!!" I can hear the kid's determination. I can see it's hard for Bianca to hear this.
I look over to Hannah, and she gives a nod with a smile. Indicating everything has already been set up. "Well, William. Today, we're doing to change that promise. Because I'm going to make sure your sister never has to work to help you again. That sounds good to you?" He doesn't know what to say. Hannah walks up with her phone, ready for some pictures.

My phone goes off, and I open it to see it's a Twitter notification. "That's weird..." My Twitter is only supposed to notify me if Ulysses posts anything. I open the notification and get sent to Twitter. My eyes start watering up as I see the picture and read the post. "Oh, Ulysses..." He's taken several pictures with a kid named William Jones.
A young boy that's fighting Sarcoma. His post already has over a million retweets and likes. He has the Go Fund Me linked and mentioned in the post. I click on it, and my blood runs cold... "He's raised 4 Million dollars for this kid..." And every time I look at it, it keeps getting higher and higher with more donations. I look at one of the heavy hitters and see the Lakers Organization.
They've donated 500,000 thousand dollars to William. I start choking up because Ulysses is proving that he's been raised right and that I did a good job with the little bit that I knew about raising a kid. I start to openly weep from the joy. He can change someone's life with a single post.
