While it is not a punishable offense to practice magic openly, it is greatly frowned upon by the public. In a way, one throws away their entire life by revealing themselves to be a magic user.
Although most hate the idea of magic, it remains a wondrous marvel that is greatly unexplained, captivating even the most stubborn of adversaries. Without it, many technological advances would not have come to light, and Even though many scientists hate the idea of reaching out to these outcasts, they are necessary for many to truly discern any situations at hand.
