Kageyama Gensai found his new classmate strange.

After all Risu Nakagawa wasn't like most children that he would find everywhere, while he wasn't the most keen on reading others, he could see that she would seem annoyed whenever someone would approach her, how she would flinch whenever someone tries to touch her, or how she visibly relaxes whenever she pulls out her phone.

Kageyama finds it odd that someone would prefer to be alone, but he wasn't really one to say something like that when one considers that he himself was a person that society, or rather his classmates, deems as a loner.

But calling him a loner, someone who dislikes social interactions and prefers to be by themself rather than being in the company of others, would be incorrect.

After all he likes interacting with others, be it the old lady selling fish down the street or with the cabbage selling grandpa that lives near the local police station. He was someone who liked to please others, social interactions weren't outside of his comfort zone.

But for some reason or another, his classmates have ostracized him and have formed their own groups and cliques.

And before he knew it, he was already sitting alone in the corner of the class for half a semester.

Suffice to say it was quite lonely, and that wasn't mentioning how his own best friend had been avoiding him ever since they entered the school. He doesn't know why his childhood friend would do something like that, suddenly coming to his house saying that he should avoid her only makes him worried for her after all. And that doesn't help that his classmates spread rumours as to why the pair of inseparable childhood friends had become separated, suffice to say none were ones that were close to the truth and none would believe when he denied them.

It had gone to the point where he was truly heartbroken when she said that he should avoid her, especially when he doesn't understand why he should do so. After all she was his best friend, one that he had spent all his childhood with, and no matter how much asked her the question of why, she would simply give him the cold shoulder.

But whenever she does, he could tell that there was sadness lingering in her eyes, he had spent more than a decade to know her, enough time for him to discern the feelings that she thought she could hide.

It was why he decided to watch over her, even if he wasn't strong enough to actually help her through whatever it was that made her avoid him. Even if he wasn't smart enough to know why she wanted him to be as far away from her as possible, he would still look after her in his own way. He was always the one needed saving, be it bullies or street animals she would always be the one that protected him from them.

He felt lonely, the bullies that would harass and make his school life harder truly makes him feel miserable. Seeing how the teachers do nothing about it makes him feel cheated, as if the world wasn't cruel enough already to him.

It was why he felt what seemed to be budding admiration for the brown haired transfer student. Her uncaring attitude towards how others view her was something that he truly wishes he had, how she simply cares about her own well being and ignores those discouraging words spoken straight in front of her face was something that was admirable to him.

It was as if she was detached from the life and society that they lived in, as if she was an existence that he could observe but never reach.

And what that meant he doesn't actually know, but those words felt right to describe the fuzzy haired pre-teen.

Seeing her going to school looking tired from seemingly working on her game, not to please the other classmates but simply seemingly for her own satisfaction, was the moment he realized that he wanted to know more about her.

Why does she ignore the others? What's so interesting about her phone that she's always looking at it? Does she have any siblings? How did she make the game that became quite popular? Why was she so determined to be able to stand her ground and disregard those stares and words that hurts his soul so easily?

He wanted to know more about her, he was curious.

He was desperate for answers. If anything for sanity that has been waning day by day from both the evasion of his childhood friend that has been his moral and physical support from bullies for most of his childhood, and the constant bullying that he receives from his classmates.

So when he saw that both the class' famous primadonna Hoshikawa-san and the star Amanogawa-san were following her after she had left school he took off to follow them too.

-

When she noticed, and she immediately did because it was so blatantly obvious that a group of people were following her, it was suffice to say that she was immediately put on alert.

She had immediately sent an order to a scattered Eyesmon to seek out the identity of her pursuers. She then went on with the regular procedure of what one does when they are being tailed, which was to simply act like nothing happened and continue on with life as one would usually do on a daily basis. It's the usual thing to do, if a change in the normal daily activities were to be seen by the pursuers, no matter how bad they are at tailing someone, then it would bring suspicion.

It's been around a month since the 'official' game company Yggdrasil Kingdom was formed and launched the game Cyber Sleuth. The game, which was somewhat a copy of the game of the same name from her life before this strange one turned out to be quite a hit.

Of course she knew that there was a counterpart to the digimon franchise in this world, what she did was basically plagiarism if said company hasn't actually made the same game from their own franchise. Though thankfully their branding and backstory were quite different from the one in her own universe, so she managed to dodge that particular bullet.

She didn't really understand how the game got popular to be honest. Apparently according to the critics and comments on the pages where she uploaded the game and it became an official thing, what pulled in the audience was apparently the gameplay.

Which wasn't surprising to be perfectly honest, it could be said that she was kind of cheating because she had worked as both a programmer and debugger for a certain famous game company enough to know how their programs work. And due to her foreknowledge, when the game is compared to the quality of the games that were currently being released by the big companies, it could compare evenly and in some aspects it can even be said that she had surpassed them.

Said improvements were only possible because her workers who knew more about digital stuff than most people, because they themselves were made of it.

And thus one of her problems in life was solved. Money, legal ones at that.

It wasn't like her Onii-chan or herself were in dire need of money, her Onii-chan works part time to get pocket change and the money that was left from our parents and the annual sum given by Obaa-san and Ojii-san were more than enough.

And that isn't mentioning the money that she keeps secretly stealing from the yakuza, mafia, and crooked politicians all over the world.

We could live lavishly for all she cared. Heck, they can live in a fancy hotel or a mansion in Hawaii for an indefinite amount of time! But since her Onii-chan doesn't want that, she refrained from doing so.

Said decision was also affected by the factor which was her dislike for beaches and the harsh light of the blinding sun. she really dislikes them, after all it has sands! It's coarse, rough, irritating and gets everywhere for god's sake! Not to mention the amount of people that are usually at beaches are sometimes suffocating, not that she would mind if her Onii-chan allowed her to buy their own private beach though, but it was still a problem.

Not to mention that said method of gaining cash was incredibly illegal.

She could probably have gone for the stock market, heaven and all its inhabitants knows she could totally cheat her way through that with her digimon too.

Oh, now that she thinks about it that sounds like a good idea. She'll make sure to store that idea for later. She had started a company out of a whim, so might as well use it properly, her Onii-chan would probably scold her if she didn't take care of it properly anyway.

She dreaded the day when he had reprimanded her for doing something like that without telling him first, just remembering the numbness that she felt when he forced her to sit in a seiza for a lecture over an hour makes her flinch.

So essentially, by starting Yggdrasil Kingdom she had managed to open up a legal income for herself and her Onii-chan. A few small changes that she made to the turn based RPG, other than making it a mobile game, thanks to the help of her creations, was to add a few microtransactions that can also be easily completed by good old farming from F2P players to balance it out.

Of course she also planned to add DLC and extra contents, revenue is revenue after all, and having more would never hurt.

At the very least she wasn't spearheading the rise of mobile gacha games…

Another thing to note then, she'll shelve that idea for later alongside the plan of ruling the digital stock market.

The digimon also seemed to have fun when they were working and now managing the game and servers, it at least gives them something to actually do in the Digital world other than help Babamon or Jijimon nurture the eggs and babies in their care.

It was either that, laze around, or spar like barbarians in what they started calling 'The Colosseum' against the Royal Knights or the Deadly Sins.

Personally, she does not like fighting, it's a barbaric act after all and she herself prefers talking things out like cultured people. But she also knows the need of violence and it's uses, and that some of her own digimon certainly enjoyed the feel of digital adrenaline like monkeys.

Fighters really do embody the notion of 'reject humanity, embrace monkey'. It certainly was one of the thoughts that passed through her when she built the colosseum for them to use to their heart's content.

She sometimes wondered why she had given them a mind of their own and a chance to develop their own personalities, but whenever she did, she would remember the times that she and her Onii-chan were saved by those personalities and the potential of emotions.

Emotions were kind of bullshit after all, allowing someone to pull 120% effort through the power of 'feelings' and 'friendship' no matter how dumb it sounded.

Heck, sacred gears use that kind of thing for a system! And if God with a capital G was the one who made the system itself, then emotions seemed legit for me.

Back to the things that she had solved over the week. Problem two, and by far one of the most important problems that she managed to solve, was her Onii-chan worrying about her school life. Because she had said that the game was something that one of her 'friends' inspired her to do and that it was a group project and all that.

This makes it seem that she actually had a social life. Thus her Onii-chan wouldn't need to worry about her not getting along with others in school! It was a perfect idea! Foolproof too!

It might sound like she's a loner, but she seriously just doesn't like human interactions, especially with brats like most of her classmates who were also hormonal pre-teens. Her Onii-chan was clearly an exception, so is Tobio-nii and Sae-nee because they're Onii-chan's friends, and her digimon don't count.

Problem number three was getting her classmates to get the program in order to hide the fact that they have sacred gears. It was easily done with the fact that it acts as an application, a game that everyone else was playing no less, not that they needed to know that said program would still be in their phones and electronics even after they deleted them.

Was it something like a virus? Yes. Wasn't that a breach in privacy? Bitch please, the Christian's big G is basically omnipotent and omnipresent and she doesn't doubt that other gods are also like that so privacy really isn't something that one can argue about.

Which is kind of sad if one thinks about it really deeply, but if anything her privacy is totally guaranteed in the Digital World so it's fine.

But a problem that she honestly had not expected, was that the game got popular.

Too popular, for her taste.

It's not so popular that it's a national or global thing per se, after all the game got zero advertisement and zero fanbase to begin with, but for some reason the game that she had made along with her other creations had managed to gain quite the popularity in the city of Ryoukuu. How come this game got this popular anyway! It got mentioned in a local magazine for god's sake!

She doesn't understand how exactly it got popularized, there's no way a bunch of middle school students can popularize something like a game from a no name company that was legally built just a week ago.

It doesn't make any sense.

She guessed that it may be because of the gameplay, it was still around five years before the game should actually be released after all, not to mention that she managed to change a game that was made for a high end console into one for a mobile phone without losing it's quality. She did kind of cheat with the help of literal digital beings in order to do that, but she was low on time, sue her!

And it doesn't help that now there are students coming at her asking for cheats and discounts because 'they're her friends'. It took her all of her willpower to not punch them in the face when they asked her that or to sick Eyesmon on them, and this was said by a person with an extremely short fuse.

And that's not a comment of her height, any short fuse and anger issues have no ties with her short height.

She's kinda regretting boldly declaring that she had made the game, the amount of attention that she was getting from her crappy normie classmates is incredibly annoying. She even got scolded by her teacher! For an idiotic reason at that!

Scolding her for being distracting others during classes and voicing their complaints on how students were playing games during classes.

That's not her problem! That's theirs and the students! If the students are being problematic then it isn't the problem of her or the game that she made but their own problems as teachers and the students' own problem for being addicted to the game!

But it was fun, making the game and all. She'll Definitely do something similar sometime soon.

If anything she's worried about paparazzi and all the things that entails being a famous person. Hopefully something like that wouldn't happen, but the possibility was still something that haunted the back of her mind. She was extremely annoyed by the amount of people that were filling the front of her apartment.

She hasn't had any private time with her Onii-chan! She wants to have her private time to fill her Onii-chan power! And he wouldn't join her to go to the Digital World for privacy too! Even though she had made a whole section there for his sake…

Not a second after she had sent Eyesmon, and enough time for her to do a recap of the events of last week and do a whole rant in her mind, she received a report from Eyesmon through the form of a notification on her phone. Perhaps she was a bit too on guard, and maybe she really should have realized who was following her based on how bad they were doing it.

Her apparent stalkers were none other than her classmates. Not paparazzi who were trying to figure out who made the game that was suddenly a boom on the community of Ryoukuu, nor were supernatural assassins sent by a faction that she had angered for some random reason.

Ryoukuu was neutral territory, and if it had anything as close as an owner, then it would be the neutral Kyoto faction. Although they haven't really paid much attention to this place, even if it does have a shrine and all that jazz right on top of the leyline, even if she had met them once or twice every month to check in, thankfully nothing violent happens during those annual checks. Heck, she even got the permission to stay here as long as she's responsible for protecting the place!

Ain't that free labour? Aren't they simply using her for free labour?. Then again, that in itself was also a blessing for her who made a base there guarded by a humanoid digimon to avoid suspicion, she's actually one of her top operatives too so she believed that it was fine to leave her alone.

Maybe she should get someone to accompany her? she's kind of worried that Sakuyamon might be lonely after all this time, even if she does pay a visit every weekend.

She didn't understand why her classmates were following her to her house, not to mention it was that damned ikemen that's following me! And not alone too, he's with the gyaru!

But strangely the black haired glasses wearing loner was tailing the ikemen. And as another notification from none other than Eyesmon pops up once more, she was enlightened to the reality that her stalker's stalker himself had a stalker in the form of the yamato nadeshiko and the class rep.

It appears that she had formed a chain of stalkers, she guesses that this was what it truly feels to be popular, to be followed and stalked by other popular people.

Welp, might as well confront the first group of stalkers then. It would be problematic if her Onii-chan were to find out about this, so she need to fix this problem as fast as possible. So she once more performed the usual stalked maneuver.

Which was to turn on a corner and to simply stand on said corner until your stalker attempts to follow you and confront them.

"Can you please explain why you're following me?" she asked the two stalkers who were aptly surprised by her sudden question. Their heads snapped onto me, standing menacingly behind them fixing her glasses and creating that anime glasses flash thing in real life.

She doesn't know how she had done that, she calls supernatural bullshit. Just like how almost any and all supernatural women that she knows are all busty and can easily be categorized as a world class supermodel.

As evident by his stiff posture, the orange haired ikemen clearly was surprised. It was as if he expected that she wouldn't have been able to know that the both of them had been following her ever since she had left the school gate "N-Nakagawa-chan! What a coincidence, I didn't think that we would-"

"You can cut the small talk, I know that you've been following her ever since I left school. Now, what do you want." she bluntly said, still glaring at them through her glasses. The orange haired ikemen's smile never faltered, even though his speech was clearly stuttering and she could spot a drop of sweat falling down from his head.

"Well you see-"

"HAAA! As if we came all the way here looking for you!" The gyaru beside him cut him off before he could say anything. She then pulled the ikemen's arm and hugged them into her lumps of meat "Sai and I are on a date! Why would we waste our day following a nerd like you anyway!" hearing her comment, she couldn't help but feel annoyed no matter how she tried to suppress her emotions.

I've been with this girl for about what, half a semester? And she still can't get used to her attitude and way of speech. That's not even saying her blatant disregard for authority, be it the class rep or even the teachers, this gyaru in front of her would not listen to the voice of reason.

From what I've heard and seen for myself, this girl only cares and pursues the social construct known as beauty. Ain't that dumb, beauty is the epitome of metiralism after all, and while she doesn't mind enjoying world riches like money and food, beauty and that stuff never really stood out for me.

Ah, but does wanting to see her Onii-chan in good looking articles of clothing count as materialistic beauty? Well, since it's her Onii-chan that she's talking about she'll let it pass.

At some point she stopped paying attention to the blabbering of the gyaru that was in front of her and decided to pay attention to their surroundings instead. Oh, is that the bread store that Dukemon frequently visits? Maybe she'll drop by and buy a few buns for her Onii-chan and myself. She's sure that he'll love them if Dukemon was the one that recommended them, even if he was using her money to buy them.

Now that she thinks about it, should she give them an allowance? Maybe a wage for their efforts? They don't really ask for much, but maybe if she does give them something to spend with then they could perhaps grow even further than they already have.

Her musing of imagining Onii-chan's reaction to receiving bread and other things was cut off by the sudden rise of voice from the person in front of me. She had to blink a few times and look around to make sure that the source of the banshee scream was truly from the girl and not some actual banshee.

"Ah so you were still talking. Forgive me, but you lost my attention the moment your voice came out of your mouth." she bluntly said and the gyaru's face became more red, clearly she was infuriated as to how flippant she was.

She really means it, when a normie that's really annoying and has no relation to you starts to blabber about nonsensical things that you don't really care about, one can't help but ignore them right?

Was that just her? Oh well, it may just be a quirk of her thing but it's not like she really cares about the pair in front of me. She just wanted to know why they were following me, but if they don't want to answer right now then she might as well leave and wait till tomorrow and see if they'll still be following me.

The gyaru was still blabbering her mouth off like a car engine ready to do a street race, even armed with the intention of physically approaching her and was only held back by the ikemen who were holding both of her raised arms. Ah, this might get annoying real quick so I'll leave.

She decided to cut her losses and turn tail away from the couple who were no doubt attracting attention. Before she could reach far enough however, she felt a grip hold her from going any farther. Without looking she could tell who was holding me, so before the culprit that's been holding her Onii-chan battery recharge time could speak she said her piece first.

"If you aren't going to answer my question then I'll leave." she tried to pry off the hand grabbing me, but thanks to her low physical strength nothing had changed and she was still in the grasp of the damned ikemen.

Should she sick Eyesmon on him? I'll properly hide the body and erase all evidence, heck, I'll even make it look like an accident! Ah, but having a classmate suddenly dying can make her Onii-chan worried so that'll have to be put on hold, but maybe after graduation…

"W-well, since you're here why don't you join us Nagakawa-chan! I'm sure that Hoshikawa-chan wouldn't mind another person joining our outing." the ikemen said clearly having no intention of letting go.

"The point of a date is to deepen the bond between one another, adding in a stranger who is clearly unwilling into the mix will clearly ruin the mood." she said in a lower voice, extremely annoyed by this still living orange haired male that was grabbing her hand. "Or perhaps I should call the police for an attempted kidnapping? I'm sure that a jail cell will fit a person that preys on weak girls like you."

She pulled out her phone with her free hand and was about to dial 110 if anything out of spite and annoyance, but said phone was immediately dropped when the grip holding her left hand tightened and she couldn't help but drop it from flinching.

"Let. Go." she said softly but was promptly ignored as the ikemen tried to salvage the situation while the gyaru was shooing eyewitnesses away from here. She would have snapped a long time ago if she didn't link her emotion with her creations as a buffer, if anything, to be capable of thinking more logically.

"Nagakawa-chan, there's no need to involve the police, you know? Aren't we just a couple of friends talking like usual?" he tried to convince the slowly growing crowd with his fancy ikemen smile, but she couldn't even bother to respond with a jab at his pride. But it was clear that he was getting irritated, as shown by how his own ikemen smile was faltering, a show of his mask breaking.

"I said. Let. Go." ah, even with hundreds and thousands of digimon as buffer she still can't help but feel like this annoying boy should die, maybe she should increase the amount of emotions that her digimon eat from her? No, I'll just focus them onto the Seven Sins later, that's what they were meant for anyway.

Unseen by the normal eyes, her shadow started to become distorted and a pair of glowing red eyes appeared in it. Oh, it seems that Eyesmon has the same idea as me, she's sure that he wouldn't mind eating one or two dead bodies…

Before she could ponder more on conducting free ranged murder and all that it entails, another challanger appeared and joined the fray. Glasses who had been following her and formed this whole chain of stalkers had taken it upon himself to stop something terrible from happening.

Which was most likely either her sensibly calling the cops or her dumping bodies into the belly of a digital beast and thus leaving no traces whatsoever.

No one will ever be able to know what would have happened honestly.

When Amanogawa-san forcefully stopped Nagakawa-san from going away, he knew that he had to intervene.

Maybe he should have done so from the start of the conversation, or rather one sided argument from Hoshikawa-san, he could feel the tension built up from that point so perhaps that would have been the best time to intervene.

But if anything he was proud that he managed to even gather the courage to stand up against Amanogawa-san, even if there was the possibility of him going to get chewed out for doing so tomorrow at school.

It was also probably the first time in his life to see Amanogawa-san who he has been a classmate of since middle school to look angry, the usual smile of his that he would see almost constantly on him was replaced with a frown that made him unsure if his actions was the correct one to fo.

But if anything, what made him truly shake in his boots, or shoes in his case, was the silent glare and somewhat oppressive aura that came from Nakagawa-san.

Strangely enough, it seemed that both the orange haired flamboyant teen and his blonde companion didn't seem to notice the feeling that the shorter glasses wearing girl was emitting. It was strange, both the fact that only he could notice it and not his two classmates that had been in the girl's proximity nor the crowd that they had attracted.

But things like this, the occurrence of him being able to see things that others seem to not be able to perceive was a normal occurrence for both him and his childhood friend, though she would always warn him to not say anything about this to others. But those things would always be minor things, things like uncomfortable feelings of being somewhere or when someone strange passes him.

Said feeling had never been as intense as the oppressive feeling that Nagakawa-san was giving out.

Amanogawa-san said something, but he couldn't really make head or tails about what he had said because he was still frozen in his own thoughts of the anger of the taller orangette in front of him and the feeling of fear the brunette behind him made him feel.

He managed to say his piece of not to bother the girl behind him, albeit more stuttered than he preferred to have been said, which only seemed to have fueled the anger of both the orangette and the blonde beside him. He could tell that the blonde was going to raise her voice, and the fact that the orangette in front of him lost his smile along with whatever niceness that he had completely made him extremely wary.

When the other boy raised his hands, he could do nothing but close his eyes and stand still, if anything in hopes that he could at the very least protect the smaller girl behind him from the hit.

Only for said hit to not come, and a grunt from Amanogawa-san made him open his eyes to see what exactly had transpired.

His childhood friend had somehow made her way here and had intervened, stopping the orangette's hand from delivering the blow. He was confused as to her appearance, and so was the duo in front of him. And when the orangette asked why she of all people was meddling with business that clearly wasn't her problem, she simply stated that an average person wouldn't dare to harm someone clearly innocent in front of a crowd.

Which finally made Amanogawa-san and Hoshikawa-san back off, even if they did leave while glaring at him and promising how this was not over. If looks could kill, he might as well be buried six feet under, multiple times.

Just before he could assure the condition of the brunette behind him, Tsukino-san had all but dragged him away from both the glasses wearing girl and his childhood friend, both of which didn't seem to be in a good mood.

He only hoped that whatever problem that had happened won't be escalating anytime soon.

His hopes will be firmly shattered in just a few days.

"Well, I'll be frank, I didn't expect to receive backup, from the special force at that." she said while cleaning her glasses if anything to ease the feeling of annoyance that the light haired pair had given me. It was something therapeutic, though not something she did much because she could use her creations as emotional hamperers.

But it was soothing if anything else, and she likes to be able to see clearly thank you very much.

The violet eyed girl narrowed her gaze as she crossed her arms, clearly unamused by her reaction. Perhaps she wasn't one for comedy? She personally thought that the class rep would be the no nonsense type, but if the yamato nadeshiko was one too it wouldn't actually be that surprising.

She let out a sigh at the non-reaction that she got and put on her glasses and attempted to strike another conversation. With a slight wave of one hand and a flicker of her shadow, she asked the black haired girl facing her "Oh fine, what do you want?"

The frown that the violet eyed girl had deepened, "I should be the one to ask that question to you, Risu Nakagawa." she says while still glaring at the shorter brown haired girl.

Less than a second, the taller girl had closed the distance between the two of them and was now holding an eerie short sword that was pointed to the shorter girl's neck. "Depending on your answer, I will end your life here and now." she said slowly as her grip on the short sword tightened and the glint of the sword's blade was reflected onto her glasses.

It was undoubtedly sharp, and that eerie feeling it gave no doubt shows that it was a sacred gear. Instead of showing signs of fear or caution like most people would be in her current situation, she simply snorts and slowly moves the short sword away from her delicate neck.

"Now, now, yamato nadeshiko-san, I'm sure that none of us wants to kill one another. Pointing a sharp item at a person can be seen as a sign of aggression you see." The black haired girl did nothing as she moved backwards and made distance between the two of them, or rather she couldn't do anything as the shorter girl does so.

The black haired yamato nadeshiko looked down towards her feet, or rather towards her shadow that was somehow still connected to the brown haired girl's. She shudders as red eyes and large fangs popped into existence on her very own shadow. She stumbled as the connection between their shadows was broken, and saw that she was toying with her phone instead of paying attention.

"You-"

"Why don't we talk like civilized people here, I have no ill intentions towards you or your little group after all. Well, maybe a tiny bit towards that orange ikemen and the gyaru, but it's not like I was going to commit homicide or anything. It'll be a problem if Onii-chan finds out about it.'' She said the last part under her breath, but the blakc haired girl still managed to hear it and showed no sign of lowering her guard.

Before the black haired girl could say anything she let out a sigh, something that she seems to be doing a lot today, and raised both her hands in a surrendering gesture. "You know what, I give up. I don't want to deal with whatever bullshit it is that you're going to spit out and make more problems, so I'll answer any questions that you have."

Undesrantably, the yamato nadeshiko doubted her, who wouldn't really. If she was in her spot then she'll definitely be doubting anything and everything that comes out of her mouth. She doesn't really care what the taller girl thinks about her, she only cares about her Onii-chan after all.

"How can I believe anything that you say?" the violet eyed yamato nadeshiko eyed her skeptically, something that made her sigh once again. Smart people or people with sharp instincts are some that you want to be on your side, that's a given since they can become a great support and become great allies, but people with conviction and unwavering values and goals like the girl in front of her can be a pain in the ass.

Just from a small bit of digging, she found out a lot about the black haired girl, like her apparent near obsession towards the health and safety of glasses boy, as shown by how she would keep him away from any and all supernatural existence. It's understandable that she of all people would be wary of her, someone who came out of nowhere and suddenly the aura that her childhood friend emitted diminished.

"Fine, I'll swear in whatever god or deity that you believe in or whatever." she waved her off, all while still fiddling with her phone. The black haired girl still eyed her with suspicion, and then the eerie short sword on her hand changed into a black bracelet on her right hand, "Fine then, swear on the name of the goddess Amaterasu that all that will come out of your mouth will be the truth and only the truth."

"Yeah, yeah, I swear on the name of Amaterasu that I'll only say the truth and all that." she said nonchalantly, still fiddling with her mobile phone to the dismay of the other girl in the magically isolated road. The black haired girl glares at her for the dismissal of what for her was a sacred vow, but lowers her guard ever so slightly.

"What is your intention with Kageyama." she demanded rather than asked the brown haired girl.

"Nothing in particular. If anything, what I'm doing also helps your goal of keeping glasses away from the supernatural."

Jolted from surprise, the yamato nadeshiko was once more put on guard. "Wha- how did you-!"

"It's blatantly obvious. Next question please." she waved her off once more showing disinterest fueling the black haired girl's hate. The black haired girl's right hand hovered over the bracelet on her left, seemingly tempted to summon her sacred gear and assault the smaller girl that was paying her no attention.

But while the black haired girl's ability was unknown to her, she perfectly trusted the ability of Eyesmon to protect her. Not to mention that Sakuyamon will probably be around the corner if a fight actually breaks out between the both of them.

She was no doubt unsatisfied by her answer, but she continued to ask another question nonetheless. "Fine, then what did you do to the others? How come their aura changed." she stopped fiddling with her phone for a good few seconds, seemingly in thought of what to answer and resumed once more.

"I'm suppressing them, if they keep flaunting their signatures like that no doubt someone would take advantage of their lack of knowledge. This way they won't be found out by anyone except by those that are really specifically looking into them." she answered.

"If anything I'm giving you props for being able to hide him for all these years. No doubt that must have taken quite a lot of work with him not even bothering to control his presence like that. Was that why a few stra devils popped up recently? I'll have to ask Sakuyamon about that later." the yamato nadeshiko had to take a second to process the brown haired girl's monologue.

"So you already know about this town's watchers. Then how come I haven't heard of someone like you from her then." she scoffed at the taller girl's question.

"If you already know about Sakuyamon then you probably should have known about me. Ah, now that I think about it she did mention something about two girls knowing about the supernatural side of the world. Guess I was just too distracted at the time." she answered absentmindedly.

"Wha- what do you mean I should have already known about you! The only people in this town who should know about the supernatural are Sakuya-san and her-" the girl's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. Seeing her reaction the messy haired girl couldn't help but smirk.

"Sakuyamon probably informed you in a roundabout way, so I'll do a proper introduction just for you." she said smugly as she removed her glasses and stared into the yamato nadeshiko's violet eyes with her brown ones.

"My name is Risu Nakagawa, current minder of Ryoukuu town which is guarded by one of my helpers Sakuyamon. I do really have no ill intention for you nor your companions, so be at ease. If anything I'm going to help you hide them from the eyes of the supernatural side of the world as much as I can, them getting into that side of the world will only bring problems for me after all."

The black haired girl was no doubt shocked, probably still in disbelief as to the fact that she was Sakuyamon's master, a title that she really dislikes but most of her creation calls her with. It was either that, or Paladin and some of the others who kept calling her King no matter what her gender was.

It was incredibly misleading, and no doubt Hackmon who was on his journey to prove himself fit for the seat as a royal knight was still calling her that and spreading confusion. But then again, there were also female devils who were called kings due to their peerage, so maybe the moonlit world is more progressive in some way.

She said 'in some way' because she was pretty sure it was super sexist in the underworld.

She glanced away from the still frozen shocked girl to her mobile phone and saw the time. Blinking twice, she decided to end the conversation with the black haired girl here. "Allright, let's cut it here for today. I'm almost hitting my curfew and I don't want Onii-chan to be mad at me."

The black haired girl was jolted out of her frozen state, and tried to reach out to her to stop her. "W-wait! You-"

"If you want to ask more questions then wait until Saturday, I'll be at the shrine then with Sakuyamon." she said while turning and walking away from the taller girl. This meeting was probably overdue anyway, she really shouldn't have put it off as long as she had, but to be fair she basically delegated her rights as the city's minder which was given by that Tengu to Sakuyamon.

She really can't wait for Saturday, then she can finish this whole problem and get back to her daily routine with her Onii-chan.

Now to buy that bread that Dukemon recommended.

"Make sure that you all are ready for the field trip on Saturday!" the teacher said enthusiastically and the class erupted to cheers.

"Fuck." she muttered out loud.
