Sweet Time and Rewards

The moment Calvin heard the system message, his tense body immediately relaxed and his vision blurred as he swayed left and right trying to stand but failed miserably as he didn't even last a second before he started falling backwards.

"Cal!"

But right as he started leaning backwards, he heard a beautiful voice next to him as he felt himself falling on a pair of soft and warm embrace.

It was Madelyne who came running from afar even before Calvin had killed the shaman. Even if she was feeling tired, Madelyne knew that what Calvin is going through right now is definitely worse so she hurriedly rushed to help him.

As Madelyne caught Calvin, she carefully lowered herself to the ground while still holding Calvin to her chest.

Madelyne looked at Calvin's pale face and smiled with pride and joy in her eyes.

"You ok Cal?" A gentle whisper left her lips as she started stroking his hair and face with her soft hands.

Her beautiful voice and warm hands gave the priceless comfort that Calvin needed the most right now.

"Yeah I'm fine mom." Calvin smiled as he held her hand with his own and took out something from his inventory with the other.

It was a kind of potion but this time, its a stamina potion to help recover from fatigue.

He chugged it down and started taking deep breaths to help him recover faster as he enjoyed his mom's caresses with his eyes closed.

Seeing him with his eyes closed and enjoying her hug while holding one of her hands, Madelyne smiled sweetly.

"Enjoying my hug Cal?"

With his mind starting to become clear again, Calvin stayed quiet for a second before answering honestly.

"Yeah... Thanks mom."

"I'm happy that you are." A giggle escapes her lips and hugged him a bit more.

With the recovery potion and the heavenly feeling of being in the embrace of Madelyne, Calvin recovered quickly.

He sat up with a cheeky smile and said. "Thanks again mom."

"No problem." Madelyne smiled.

A smile appeared on his lips and right as he was about to bring up the system, he saw that Madelyne was still a bit pale in the face while looking at him like she was suggesting something.

Calvin thought for a moment before hesitantly opening his arms and asking. "You want the same thing?"

Madelyne smiled as she dove forwards, hugging Calvin and burying her head to his chest without saying anything else.

Seeing her acting like that, Calvin can't help but smile as he also rubbed her hair gently.

In response, Madelyne hugged him even more as she thought to herself. 'So warm and cozy. I love this. And I love him so much.'

A few minutes passed and Madelyne has also recovered with a healthy blush on her face. However, instead of separating from Calvin, she continued to be close to him but with a different position. Her back was facing him with her head laying on his chest and holding one of his hands to her waist.

Calvin felt greatly embarrassed in this position as this was the first time he ever held a girl like this and it's even his mom, but more than that he was amazed at how slender and soft the waist of woman can be even through the armor.

So he did the thing he's good at. Ignore it and just think of something else.

He turned his head a little to the side and accessed his system with his free hand.

Meanwhile, Madelyne who noticed this giggled to herself and smiled sweetly. Then she too accessed her status to check the system alerts she received.

He got a big surprise as soon as he read the messages. It was not a surprise for him to see that he created the skill Quick Steps since he had actually peen practicing it during the battle but for the Crushing Blow, it was just pure luck.

It was obvious that the Crushing Blow skill is the one he used to kill the final shaman. Though he certainly didn't expect that he would create one right away when he was jus trying it out due to a sudden inspiration.

But what has to be the most surprising is about his path of multiple classes, his blessing leveling up out of nowhere and the new hidden attribute he unlocked.

Guessing is one thing but to see it for oneself is different. To know that the system itself has recognised his actions has given him the assurance he needed to know that what he's doing isn't wrong.

As for the blessing, he didn't have any idea how it leveled up and it was the same for unlocking the Comprehension attribute. But he guessed that they are somehow connected due to them happening one after the other so he checked the description of his blessing to find a clue why but mostly to see its new effect.
