Chapter 02: Roses, Kisses with Thorns

Aerial POV

**Her hair was a shining silver, lifting gently with the breeze as it brushed over her. She smiled softly and her stark blue eyes reflected in the moonlight, washing over my body in waves of her warmth. Her brown locks bounced softly as she lifted her arm from her side and cupped my cheeks creasing them softly. My unkempt personal would never compare to her graceful and effortlessly beautiful aura, and I have never felt so insignificant.

"Mother!" I chant as her sparkling ocean blue eyes fixed their gaze upon me. Her pale skin slowly faltered and faded away like sawdust but never disturbing the smile which twinkled under the stars.

"No!" I moaned "No! Don't leave me! It hurts mother pls" I yowled sniffling softly, tears threatening to spill from my eyes. Tears welled from deep inside and coursed down my cheeks as she disappeared leaving nothing but me lost in my thoughts.**

*****

She gasped for breath, heart plummeted, her vision blurred glassy, a naughty betraying tear ran across her cheeks as more tears came running, more thought whirled through her head, placing her head she drifted off to sleep.

The birds chirped soundly flittering from tree to tree, chirping at each other and battling over the best roosting sights. The faint pounding of boots halted at her doorstep.

**"Aerial!" dark whispers came in waves hitting her face with its venom. The trees rustled louder swaying for life as the wind howled in anger. The window grew darker as she felt a shadow move behind the curtains, clutching her chain in fear she felt the cold metal lifeless nor heat radiating.

"wwh...Who's- the.. ther.--...There?" she stuttered, heart rythemicly beating for safety. The door was flung open as the wind gushed. A shadow whizzed under her door. The clashing and clanking of pans and pots screamed making her flinch in fright.

Horrendous laughter of evil echoed the house as she heard the wood creak leading the devil to her room.***

"Message for Ms. Aerial!"

Her thoughts were drifted off, knocks banged her door making her flinch in fright. She scooted walking over to the door, unlatching the locks she cracked the door the breadth of a marble. "What do you want?" Aerial growled hiding behind her door, A wisp of golden hair peeped curiosity killing to look at the fine specimen.

"The royal family wanted to remind you of the visit for tea." a young voice filled the air. "Very well, thank you" she retorted slamming her door. Stop hallucinating she thought. **Hallucinating** she repeated, Aerial darted her hazel eyes towards the window, standing there the messenger man smiling widely, evil dancing in his lips.

The door was creaked open, Aerial sharply gulped a mouthful of air, power, power was all she felt. Peasants chanting and screaming displaying the powerful spells, Children giggled exhibiting their newly found powers, the wind rustled harder, evil smiles took place the innocent ones once they spotted the powerless; fragile little girl standing swallowing her surrounding.

She wiped the door close exhaling and inhaling breathlessly. Oh, Amelia! she pleaded for help. Clutching her coat she concealed her beauty, her flawless raven black hair with blonde tints on the end, loose, the hood cloaking her fair skin and hazel eyes. Never in the world shall I go outside she thought.

Aerial trudged through the streets which were deathly silent, pairs of eyes scanned her as she trotted hanging her head to the floor. Danger. A warm hand took place with hers, dashing through the barricade of people she screamed "Who are you? Have some mercy pls don't kill me!" but the assassin only replied with a nod.

" What are you doing there? weren't you supposed to meet the queen?" some familiar voice echoed tricking her ears once they halted. "Prince Nicholas Attar?" she questioned panting "Shouldn't I be the one asking you? What are you doing here? aren't you supposed to have lessons with Aunt?" she whispered. " Mother canceled classes as she wanted to meet you with Queen Helena," he replied smiling. Great, she thought. Her Aunt Alaina married King George for the fact she was the fairest specimen on Luna.

" That doesn't explain the reason why you are here" she quire "Are you here to visit Princess Clair?" she commented looking at her neatly cut nails. His mouth gaped open in shock " Ho..w did..- y..ou know? he stuttered. "It wasn't a big deal from the way you two visit each other every Tuesday because you have horse riding lessons making you pass city Aria, while she has gardening and not forgetting to include the first kiss you had was with Princess Clair in your room on the day your mother celebrated her birthday," she replied teasingly.

"Oh shut up!" he answered red tinting his cheeks zooming his dark freckles. " We have to hurry now! Mother shall get so angry for arriving late and-" he yelled looking me up and down " Dirty" he added. " Yes, your highness" she replied jokingly hurrying down the streets.
