~Chapter 15~

The woman in black crumpled the paper in her hands. She couldn't believe her eyes. She slammed her fists on the dark table that was made with some kind of expensive wood. The elderly man in black coat gazed on nonchalantly as if he expected that kind of reaction from her. She didn't speak a word but didn't hold herself back from sparing the young lad that accompanied the elderly man, a burning glare. Few moments later her heels clacked away leaving behind the two men. As they were departing from the house of that woman, the young lad couldn't help but look for that woman again.

Sadly, unlike him that woman didn't share the same sentiments.

Fortunately for both Rio and Emilia, this entire hallway fiasco did not take a massive turn. Daniel neither pressed any charges against her nor was it reported to any teacher by any student. Emilia however was grounded by her aunt. She came to know about everything from a chatter of students who were talking how cool Emilia Johannes looked when she defended another nerd from getting bullied. Upon further enquiry, Miss Johannes came to know about the entire incident.

Hence, the sudden summoning in her study room. Her aunt looked at her with an unreadable expression on her face as she stood leaning her back on the study table.

"Don't you have something to tell me?" Miss Johannes asked in a stern tone.

"What about?"

"What about...are you playing the role of a fool? Is this a drama?"

"Uh no? I don't know exactly what you are referring to, aunt."

"Oh." Miss Johannes cocked her head sarcastically. "Pray tell then Miss Johannes why on earth did you beat up Daniel Fleabagh?"

"Because he was bullying Rio Sanders…uh my tutor."

"Really now? I am also a teacher and over the years I have also paired up students as tutor-students but never have I ever seen such a passionate student like you who is hell bent on defending their tutor's honor!"

That makes me even more suspicious about the relationship between you two.

"So you went ahead and took things in your own hands. Not only in your own hands but beat Daniel up so badly that poor boy's face was barely recognizable! Oh don't you dare look so smug! This is nothing to be proud of!"

Emilia couldn't help but feel satisfied when her aunt shared information about Daniel. Perhaps that satisfaction was showcased on her face. Indeed it was strange for Emilia to beat up someone, much less a boy to that, but in her defense, she'd say that when she saw the feeble attempt of Rio to protect himself and how Daniel like fucking coward attacked him with four of his cronies, she felt a surging anger raging in her. She didn't care if it was Danny or whosoever; she just wanted to protect Rio. The fear and anger that she felt during the party when she caught Daniel spiking her drink channeled her rage even more. What she didn't do that day, which she should've done, she did that today.

And honestly she doesn't feel any remorse for beating up her ex.

Her aunt, however, wasn't having any of this as she grounded her for a month. No parties (Emilia had stopped going there long time back), no hanging out with friends, no sleepovers at Seon Hul's house and she has to return back along with her aunt every day.

And it was at this moment; Mrs. Okum announced that she'll be taking a unit test and based on the results she'll allow the students to sit for the final exam. If any student fails to pass this test, she'll make sure that student doesn't get to sit in the final exam, which means repeating the senior year again. The quiet class of Mrs. Okum was filled with gasps of surprise and fear. The ones who had studied all this time remained seated calmly. Emilia licked her bottom lip in slight nervousness and looked at her tutor who still had band aids in some areas of his face.

Ever since Mrs. Okum's class, Emilia have been fidgeting, hesitating and this is a first for her. Being a girl who was desired by everybody, she slept with whomever she wanted, she never cared if that guy was committed or not. If he's up to her waste she'd fuck them. She won't consider herself as a nymphomaniac but sex is a type of drug to her that she must have to stop herself from thinking about that. However recently it has come to her observation that her sleep is not plagued by nightmares anymore, neither she is suffering from distorted sleep or insomnia. In fact her sleeping habits have returned to normal just as any other normal human being. In fact she does not require any extra stimulation like sex anymore to put her to sleep.

"I want you to come to my house." She blurted out making the fellow people at the table pause their actions. They weren't sure to whom it was addressed so they spoke in unison; "Who?"

"Rio, I want Rio to come to my house." The addressed person including the other two's eyes became as wide as saucers, so she added quickly; "For studying! For tutoring. You know..I…uh…am grounded for this month so I can't stay back after school and that unit test in history is coming up….um so I wanted to brush up our lesso—"

"Sorry no." Rio spoke amidst the rambling.

"Eh why?"

"If you n-need me just drop a message in my phone….I'll give you m-my num-number."

Rio scribbled down his number on a sticky note and passed it to the blonde opposite of him. He scrambled up his things and almost ran off the cafeteria. It was Seon Hul who broke the silence; "Well that was fast."

Rio Sanders never looked back before he exited the cafeteria if he had, he'd have seen the expression on Emilia Johannes' face.
