The story of The Sapphire.

It's complicated.

Lemme explain his mommy's side of the family, first.

They were a powerful pureblood family, older than most. They had descended from Salazar Slytherin, and They eventually began to dwindle down, mainly because of the fact that they kept inbreeding. (EWWW. THEY WERE FORCED TO THO)

Once rich and powerful, now poor and politically plus magically weak. The last of their line, Merope Gaunt, had lived in what is now a shack. That was near to the home of Thomas Riddle Sr., but I'll talk about that asshat later.

Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Merope had fallen in love with, well, more like obsessed with, the man. (Fukin Idiot)

When she was an adult, she had dosed him with multiple love potions to convince him that he was in love with the woman that he's never so much as glanced at before.

Now, onto the paternal side.

Tom Riddle. Senior.

He was a rich man, living in Little Hangleton. And he was... charming? Handsome? Beautiful?

No one could keep their eyes off of him, not that he wanted them too do so. Damn attention-seeker, amirite?

So, he had caught the attention of the slightly crazy witch heiress, Merope Gaunt.

During the whole love potions thingie, Tommy Sr. had decided to marry the poor witch. Near the end of the pregnancy the idiot believed that the man really was in love with her and then stopped dosing him with the potions. Once he came back to his senses, he felt disgusted, and threw her out.

She was able to crawl to the nearest orphanage, and then literally gave birth on the front steps.

She be dead now.

Cus giving birth to a magical child messes you up... bad.

No idea what happened with the Weasleys tho.

Molly is a miracle. Damn.

Right, so anyway, the owner of the orphanage found him and the almost-dead mother.

With her dying words, she requested him to be named, dun dun dun,

TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE JR....

Tommy boi grew up at the orphanage, bullied and taunted for any accidental magic.

Of course, this made him mature faster, and he decided that he should be a manipulative nincompoop. He decided to strike back whenever his fellow insensitive orphans bullied him.

When Dumbledore had arrived to inform him of Hogwarts, he grew delighted. Then, he began to freak him out, yet give him an idea.

He arrived at Hogwarts, and lived there throughout the school year, and was manipulated by Dumbledore into becoming a Dark Lord.

How?

Well, Tommy had always begged to stay at Hogwarts during the summer, but he refused. Like, why not?

Because he needs Tom to hate him, and the light.

He had made the hate and bigotry against the Slytherins grow, even though Dumbles was a part of that house.

He subtly pushed him to create Horcruxes.

As well as others I do not know about and don't want to make up

Dumbles had wanted to create a way to make himself imprinted into history books, but he couldn't find a way to, because there was no suitable dark lord material, until he met Tommy boi.

He had to find a Savior as well, but he knew he couldn't be the Savior. Cus he was old. And ugly. And he used to be a redead. For some reason, redhead's are never the main character. So, he had to form one. That'll be explained in the next two chappie's.

He had created seven horcruxes, and became a snake dude. He had started a war, and his archenemy started a war against him, and he had lost both of them.

Why?

Because the protagonist's halo is too stong in this series.

I'm kidding. (NOT)

It's because of Harry Potter.

And a manipulative old coot.

And Sevvy. Like, duh.
