Chapter 10 : Big Dream

Dara was a little unsure whether she wanted to hear the story about Dean or not. She was afraid that she would be controlled by her anger again. Dara's friends actually understand that. That's why they tried to hide any news about Dean from her.

"What is up with him?" Dara asked finally after considering for a while.

Her friends were silent at first. They don't know how to get started. Billy looked at each other with Tiara before finally Tiara decided to start talking.

"For a long time, Dean and his family have been considered a source of trouble." Dara listened carefully to every word that came from her. "We don't know what they really want. But if they already have a goal, they can do various ways to get it."

"In any way we can't even think of," Billy added.

"Including my family," said Sofi finally.

"What did he do?" Dara asked curiously.

"My father used to be a great programmer," Sofi began. "Papa used to work in a big company in Singapore, then finally returned to Indonesia when I was born and started his career here. My father's career was pretty good until my mom finally came back to America."

Tiara and Billy also listened carefully to Sofi's story. They also don't know the details of Sofi's story. They've only heard bits and pieces of the story so far.

"At that time, my father worked in a company owned by the Dean family because it was closer to our house and did not require my father to travel a lot, so it's easier for my father to keep an eye on me." Sofi took a deep breath before continuing. "But once I was old enough, my dad intended to leave Dean's company to pursue his career again. Initially, there was no problem. My father was married to Mrs. Ussy at that time. We all make a happy family."

"Until they finally started destroying us," Tiara added angrily. "I still remember how our family slowly crumbled because of them."

"What happened?" Dara asked them.

"Dean's father wants my father to go back to work for him. But my father can't follow his order. My father had his own life choices. We had no idea Dean's father could go so far. He did a lot of manipulation with his power until my father was fired and it was difficult to get a new job. My father was slandered until he became depressed and his mental became unstable."

"Yeah, At first we didn't think that Dean's father could go that far because his wish was not fulfilled. We didn't even think it was them at first." Tiara added. But all valid evidence points to him. We just can't do anything."

Dara was silent. She didn't know what to say until finally Sofi continued her story. "My father and Mrs. Ussy's marriage was also a mess. For a several years my father really seemed to have lost himself. His emotions are out of control. Alhamdulillah, thank God my father was able to forget his pain. Finally he forgot his dream and started something new by serving the people and taking care of our small business."

Dara was actually a bit hesitant to ask. But curiosity is enough to overwhelm her. She could understand what was happening, but she couldn't understand why Sofi looked sad today. "Then what are they doing to your family now? Are they still bothering your father?"

"No," said Sophie. "It's just that my father is starting to become unstable again now."

"Why? What's the trigger? What happened?" Dara asked forgetting her uncomfortable feeling because she asked too much.

They were all silent. Dara looked at them one by one expecting an answer. Tiara who could not bear to see Dara confused finally opened her voice.

"Because Mr. Dion knows Sofi is working on this project with us. He remembered his dream again."

Dara was silent. Instead of her blaming Dean, she blamed herself more. The habit still hasn't gone away. Dara didn't know how to respond until finally Billy started to talk.

"But that's not all, Dean is following his father's footsteps. He seemed to be planning something. I don't know what he wants, but he's starting to annoy us again."

"What did he do?" asked Dara. She was very interested in the stories of his friends.

"He wanted my mother's restaurant. He also still wants Leo's workshop. The location of our business is indeed quite strategic and quite crowded with customers, but what I don't understand is why he has to keep forcing us to sell it even though we said we couldn't. Can't he find another location?" Tiara started to look annoyed.

Dara remembers Tiara's first story about Dean. How Tiara looks so annoyed with him. "Has he started using scheming again?" asked Dara.

"I don't know, we don't have any more evidence. But he's starting to move."

Leo finally came. He looked quite exhausted. Leo was quite surprised to see his friends did not look like they used to. "Something happened?" he asked.

"Dean," Billy replied curtly.

Leo seemed disinterested in their conversation and began to divert the conversation. "When will the project be finished?" he asked Dara. "I already have a list of several investors."

Dara's feelings were still mixed, she was reluctant to discuss their project at that time. She feels she need to empathize with Sofi, who is still sad that her father is under pressure again because Sofi is working on a project with her. But Dara tried to be professional. "Probably 2 weeks, I can report the first draft."

They finally discussed the evaluation of the cleaning activity they had just started and also discussed a little about their project in their brief meeting. After they finished, they all went back to their work. Dara as usual went home alone. She pondered a bit about what her friends had told her.

Dara doesn't know Dean's family. She also didn't know if Dean knew her or not. But there was a bit of fear coming over her. Dara felt she didn't want to have anything to do with someone like Dean. Even so, deep in her heart Dara wants to know more about what Dean is really planning. Dara agrees with Tiara, she questions why Dean seems so obsessed with Lintang Timur area.

The 4.246 Light Years project is starting to show more progress. Dara and Billy also work quite hard on their project. Their first investor, Mrs. Ussy, also seemed eager to support her daughter's career. Meanwhile Dara began to completely recover from the burnt out she had felt and started working normally. If there are no obstacles that hinder their project, their project can be released soon. Although it's still a simple version.

Dara and her friends are very happy. Mrs. Ussy want to treat them all to her restaurant to celebrate their firsr achievement. Dara came wearing her best clothes. Billy, who has not worked there since he worked on a project with Dara, is a little nostalgic for his former workplace when he arrived there.

Tiara seemed happy to welcome them. Sofi is also cheerfull again. Her father had started to return to normal. They were all initially unaware of Leo who hadn't appeared. It's not uncommon for Leo to be late and not call them. After a long wait Tiara finally started to contact him. No response from Leo. They were all worry.

Mrs. Ussy started sending her staff to look for Leo to his house and to his workshop. Dara slightly guessed that something had happened to his grandmother. Dara doesn't know if her friends know about Grandma Nomi condition. Dara never talked about it.

After a long period of confusion, Mrs. Ussy's staff returned. But Leo didn't come with him.

"Leo is there?" Mrs. Ussy asked her staff.

"Leo is not at his house or in his workshop. But the repairman there told me something."

"What is it?" Tiara asked, unable to hold back her curiosity anymore.

"Dean as always," he answered weakly. "Just like he did to our restaurant."

"So where's Leo?" Sofi asked looking worried.

"That's what we don't know."

"Leo's aren't usually like this. Is it okay if we just wait?" Dara asked finally speaking.

"Yeah, Leo can't keep us waiting without telling us like this." Tiara seems to agree with Dara's statement.

"Sorry I'm so late." Leo suddenly appeared out of breath. Everyone there looked surprised and relieved.

"Where have you been? We're all worried." Sofi started to protest.

"Sorry, my phone battery died," Leo said trying to defend himself. He looked very tired and had somewhat forgotten the guilt feelings towards his friends who had been waiting for a long time.

"What happened?" Dara asked ignoring Leo's feelings who didn't seem to want to be interrogated.

"It's okay, I had some business. Then my phone died," he answered, somewhat haltingly, making his friends even more curious.

"Enough, today is a special day. Let's forget about all that bothers us for a while." Mrs. Ussy finally intervened between those who started to argue with each other.

Finally they all followed Mrs. Ussy's advice and started enjoying their celebration. It's easy for them to forget what happened to Leo. Leo didn't look sad or uncomfortable.

After the party was over, Dara, who as usual came home alone on her bicycle, began to contemplate what had happened to Leo. She was very curious especially this was related to Dean. She couldn't stop herself from finding out. After thinking for a while, Dara finally decided to return to Tiara's restaurant. Dara felt that Tiara was the right person for her to ask.

"Is there something missing?" asked Tiara, surprised to see Dara reappeared there.

"You're busy? I want to talk to you about something."

"I'm not busy. Okay, let's talk at my house."

Dara does not know where Tiara's house is. Finally Dara followed Tiara who used a motorcycle in front of her to guide the direction of her journey. Arriving at Tiara's house, it turned out that her house was very big. Tiara's house is in block A not far from Dara's house. Dara did not remember ever passing through that area which was indeed at the easternmost end of their cluster area. Dara and Tiara entered the house which looked empty.

"Would you like to chat at home or in the garden?" Tiara asked her.

"I like being here. The garden is very beautiful."

Tiara's front yard is overgrown with beautiful ornamental plants. There is a seat that is also decorated with flowers as ornaments. Dara admitted that it was easy for her to feel comfortable there. After they began to seat themselves comfortably there, Dara immediately stated her intentions.

"I have a question about Dean. What do you know about him?"

"Are you sure you want to talk about him?"

Dara nodded confidently making Tiara unable to refuse. "What do you want to know?" she asked.

"What project is he working on?"

"Actually, I don't know for sure. But I heard that he is actually building a big tech company. I don't know how. There's not a lot of information out there either."

"Why does he want your restaurant or Leo's workshop so badly? Have you ever had contact with him before?"

"Of course not. No one in my family knows Dean's family.

At first I thought maybe it was about Mr. Dion. Maybe they still hold grudges, but I don't think so."

"Why do you think that way?"

"I have to admit, Dean is not like his vengeful father. He did want our restaurant. Only that. Not like his father who really wants revenge on Mr. Dion who can't follow his will."

For Dara, Dean's attitude is not much different from his father's. Dean also did various ways to make his wish come true. Even though their reasons may be different. Dara did not know who was more cruel. She didn't know what Dean had done. Even though Dean never slandered anyone like his father, what he did was still wrong. Dara doesn't know whether Dean is better than her father or not.

"So he just wants the restaurant? Are you sure there's no personal reason?"

"I don't know for sure. But we really don't know him. Leo is the same. I've asked Leo a few times. He also doesn't understand why Dean wants his workshop so badly."

"What did he do to you guys now?"

"Dean is getting louder. As usual he used dirty ways. We have difficulty supplying raw materials for our restaurants. He manipulates things to get us to give up fighting for our restaurants."

"Did he succeed?"

"Quite successful. Luckily Laura helped us a lot. She has quite a number of acquaintances and although Laura was also asked by Dean's people to stop helping us. But he doesn't care and still chooses to help us."

"Why did he do that? I don't understand his attitude."

"Yeah me too. But actually his father was more terrible. Dean did not slander us or destroy us to the core like his father did to Mr. Dion. But still it sucks."

Dara digests every information given by Tiara. It seems that Dara is not the only one who has a lot of questions in her head. Tiara also wants to ask Dara a lot of things. But she tried to hold it in.

"Anything on your mind?" Dara asked, she could catch Tiara thinking about something.

"It's okay," said Tiara trying to cover it up.

"If you want to ask something, just ask. I'm okay, really," said Dara as if she could read Tiara's mind.

"Has Dean ever bothered you?" asked Tiara finally got up the courage.

"No. I'm not sure he knows me."

"How do you know?"

Dara wanted to tell her that she had met Dean directly and Dean didn't seem to recognize her. But Dara refused to do so. She didn't want her fragile side to be explored too much by Tiara.

"He never bothered me at all. Why do you ask?"

Tiara was somewhat considering whether she needed to tell Dara the truth. "Because Dean's father is a bit of a nuisance to Mr. Reynolds family."

"Really?" Dara asked very surprised. "Because Mr. Reynolds helped my family?"

"Billy once said this briefly but not in detail. He said that ever since Mr. Reynold helped your case, his family has also been disturbed. It's a bit difficult to harass Mr. Reynold's family. But it's like they don't have a job to keep trying to hurt people."

Dara's heart sank knowing that because of Mr. Reynolds helping her, he got into trouble. "What did they do to Mr. Reynolds?"

"They're trying to do the same thing they did to Mr. Dion. But it didn't work."

"Are they okay now?"

"Since Dean's father passed away a year ago, they are not bothered anymore. This also makes me believe that Dean is not like his father. He doesn't seem to really care about anything other than making his dreams come true."

"I still don't understand his attitude. I also don't understand why he insists on your restaurant and Leo's workshop. Why doesn't he find another place if he really just wants to make his dream come true."

"I don't know. But he's been so persistent in wanting our place."

"Is he bothering you personally?" asked Dara.

"No. He only made it difficult for us to run our business. But I heard he's quite intruding on Leo's private life."

"What did he do to Leo?" Dara asked increasingly curious.

"I don't know much. But if you really want to know, I know who we can ask."

"Who can we ask?"

"Laura."

The figure of a young man stood at his spacious and luxurious office. He stood alone looking out the window with his blank stare. In reminiscing about the time he was imprisoned a few months ago. When everything he had was taken from him, including his freedom to do whatever he wanted.

Dean is an ambitious person. His aspirations were high, although his desires were not understood by most who knew him. He ignored it. All he cared about was how to make his wish come true.

That afternoon he was waiting for his two staff to give him a monthly report. He looked at his watch it was already 13:10. The staff was already 10 minutes late. Dean was barely expressionless as his two staff walked into the room feeling quite frightened.

"Sorry we're late," said a young woman with a pile of papers in her hand.

She is Leoni, a programmer who has worked for Dean's company for 1 year. She worked only a few months before Dean got out of prison and joined the company. Leoni was Dara's friend in her old office. Leoni doesn't know that Dean is the one responsible for Dara's family accident. She didn't even know that Dara's family died in an accident. She didn't care that much about her friend.

"Sorry we got stuck in traffic, so it's a bit late," said a staff who was with Leoni. He only had 1 tablet PC in his hand, but he looked like he was panting.

He is Mr. Yogi is a confidant of the Dean family. His father and uncle also worked there before being replaced by himself. Besides Mr. Yogi for generations following in the footsteps of his family working there, he also has very great abilities in the eyes of the Dean family.

Dean turned around, still expressionless. He didn't say anything. Just have the two staff sit down and start their report. The two staff were quite relieved because he was not affected by their lateness.

"We still haven't been able to persuade the workshop and restaurant owners in Lintang Timur to sell their restaurants," said Leoni timidly. "I have brought all the files about the owners of the two places including the families they have. I have some ideas to trigger…"

"The owner of the restaurant is Ussy, her daughter is Tiara," Leoni began to explain. She seemed unfazed by Dean interrupting her earlier explanation. "They both take care of their family business. They have a lot of land in the Lintang Timur area."

"Where is the land they have?" asked Dean flatly.

"The majority are around the Durian Cluster and Durian village. They have a lot of houses for rent there. They have a restaurants, salon, some shop at the market, and also vacant land that they have not used. I have a list of their assets."

"Think about how to get to that restaurant. If we can control this person, we can control many assets easily," said Dean casually.

Leoni seems happy that her work is appreciated. In contrast to Mr. Yogi, who wanted to express his opinion about Dean's wishes, which he considered unreasonable. The Lintang Timur area is not a strategic area. Indeed the area is close to the city center, but Mr. Yogi still doesn't understand why Dean is so obsessed with that area.

"What's wrong, Mr. Yogi?" Dean asked as if he understood what his trusted staff was thinking.

"Nothing," he replied timidly.

"Still questioning why the place had to be bought? Didn't Leoni already provide an analysis last month that the restaurant and workshop were indeed the most strategic places. Easy access to transportation, easy access to settlements." Dean didn't seem to care about his staff, but he clearly wanted to intimidate him.

"I fully understand. I just thought why should I try so hard to get those two places? Aren't there many other places like that?" Mr. Yogi does not know where the courage comes from. Yogi just spoke his mind.

"You don't need to know the reason," Dean replied lightly.

Mr. Yogi did not want to argue even though his mouth wanted to say many things. He could understand Dean's goal of building a high-tech IT company that dominates the market and industry. He could understand Dean's ambition to create sophisticated technology with various modern and cutting-edge automations. However, there are many wishes from Dean that Mr. Yogi does not understand and he considers unreasonable. Dean spent his money and energy just to get 2 places that looked nothing special. Actually Mr. Yogi can guess, maybe Dean who is crazy with power just wants his wish to be fulfilled. Dean didn't like people to disobey his orders, even though he knew his wishes were unreasonable.

"The workshop owner's name is Leo. He is the grandson of the previous owner who gave all of his wealth to him," Leoni explained the results of her research again.

"I remember who he is. He's the dissident, right?"

"That's right," Leoni answered firmly. There was a hint of pride on her face. She also remembers Leo very clearly. Because she was Leoni's first victim.

Before Dean's father died, he oedered Leoni to get the workshop as a gift for his son Dean when he got out of prison. Leoni did various ways to get it. She was dirty to the point of manipulating things to make Leo lose his job at that time. But defeating Leo doesn't seem easy. Leo's actions are also quite troublesome for them.

"Don't focus on him. I don't want his workshop anymore," Dean said beyond Leoni's expectation. "He's the one who kept us busy a few days ago, right?"

"Yeah, he's the one who managed to track down the people we've hired to interfere with his life."

"And send the profile files of all of them to our office," Dean continued Leoni's sentence. He remembered very well how Leo had come casually and handed all his findings to him. Without saying much, as if Leo was showing that he knew what Dean had done to him. "I don't want to see him again. I don't want to waste time with him. So forget him."

"But his workshop is right next to Mrs. Ussy's restaurant, if we want to build this IT company center there, the next step is..."

"I want the entire Lintang Timur area to be mine, not the restaurant is my main goal." Dean interrupted Leoni's words again, this time more firmly. What Dean said this time left both Leoni and Mr. Yogi speechless. "Why? You don't believe I can have it?"

Even for Leoni who always followed Dean's thoughts, this time she also thought that what he wanted was unreasonable. Leoni didn't know how much money Dean had. But the cluster is a residential area for many residents. Moreover, the Durian village is even wider. How to get a residential area that is still actively inhabited by hundreds maybe thousands of residents there.

Meanwhile, Mr. Yogi thinks with his own mind that Dean's thoughts are really beyond the limits of his reasoning. He admits Dean's ability to build a company is much better and more strategic than his father's. His ideas and executions in the last few months have also proven to be much better. But his obsession was too unreasonable for him.

"You don't have to think about how I can get it. It's none of your business. All you need to do is follow my orders," Dean said firmly. The first step, I want the restaurant, forget the workshop. That's your job," he said again, glaring at Leoni. "And you Mr. Yogi, please find me a great programmer. Give me the list. I don't want the usual list. Seek as much information as possible."

"Okay," said Mr. Yogi briefly.

"Then you may go."

Mr. Yogi immediately left the room. Meanwhile Leoni didn't seem want to leave that place. Her steps were restrained, her courage too. But she tried to muster up the courage to make a move. She didn't want to regret it anymore for having delayed her move for months.

"Have you had lunch, sir?" Leoni asked a little nervously.

Dean looked at het blankly. He didn't think his staff would ask such a thing. "Why?" he asked briefly.

"Nothing," Leoni didn't expect Dean's response to ask her back. "I can prepare lunch, if you haven't had time to eat."

Dean looked thoughtful. He didn't have time to eat. He has forgotten a lot about his personal life, including his health since he had ambitions that he wanted to realize. But beyond Leoni's expectations, Dean's answer really pleased her. "Okay, bring me lunch. You can ask Mr. Didi what I usually order."

"Yes, sir."

Leoni, whose heart fluttered, immediately left the room to look for Mr. Didi, Dean's personal secretary, a longtime confidant of the Dean family. Leoni has had a crush on Dean for a long time. Either Dean doesn't know it or Dean really doesn't care about it, Dean had no paid any attention to anyone but himself and his ambitions.

Dean was still staring blankly at the place left by his two staff. Dean remembered his dream. He admits that he wants to be an invincible person. When he wants something, then that desire must be realized in any way.

It didn't take long for Mr. Yogi to get the list of programmers Dean wanted. All the files he had gathered had been given to Dean. Dean watched carefully. His attention was drawn to one name.

"Find out about this person," Dean pointed to one of the profiles with Dara's name on it. Mr. Yogi frowned slightly. He barely put Dara's name on his list. He entered Dara's name only because he lacked one name to report.

"Andara Gunawan?" asked Mr. Yogi to make sure what he saw was true.

Dean didn't seem to notice the name. He slightly glanced back at the document file he was pointing at. "Yeah, what do you know about her?"

Mr. Yogi was quite taken aback by Dean's sudden question. He didn't know about Dara. He had only done a brief research on it to complete the report to be handed over to Dean that day.

"She was the best graduate 2 years ago. Of course from the best campus in Bandung. She once worked on an automation project with our rival company."

"Is that all you know? How did you know about her?" Dean asked clearly looking dissatisfied with Mr. Yogi's answer.

"I find a list of outstanding graduates from the best campuses. I found Andara Gunawan's name as the top list in the last 3 years. That's all I know. I don't know much the information about the work she has done. "

"You don't know what her strengths are but you put her on the list." Dean smiled wryly at him. Mr.Yogi looks a bit scared. "But it's okay. I'm interested in the project she's working on. Get me any information about her. Family, work, and projects, everythings."

"Yes sir."

Mr. Yogi searched as much detailed information as possible about Dara. After doing extensive research, he was quite hesitant to reveal his findings to Dean that night. He was accompanied by Leoni who happily worked overtime simply because she was happy to see Dean longer.

Leoni's happiness fades when she sees the person presented by Mr. Yogi is Dara, who for no reason Leoni wanted to forget from her life. She never liked Dara. For her everything Dara did was a mistake. She does not want to admit that she is jealous of what Dara has, including Dara's kind and sincere heart to her. Leoni never wanted it. She never saw the mistake She made to Dara. She never admitted it. In her eyes there is only hatred for Dara.

"Andara Gunawan is the only child in her family." Mr. explained with a very nervous look on his face. Even Leoni who wasn't very sensitive to people's feelings could notice it.

"What is it?" asked Dean. "Tell me everything. I want to know everything about her."

"From the information I got, Andara Gunawan is Toni Gunawan's daughter. Victim of a car accident about 3 years ago.."

"I remember them." Mr. Yogi was very afraid to reveal the information he got. But unexpectedly Dean responded with a flat and almost expressionless. "The accident that put me in prison. Is that what you want to say?"

Mr. Yogi nodded slowly. For a moment he looked like a teenager who had just been scolded by his teacher. He looked helpless and was ready to accept whatever Dean would throw at him. He thought, Dean might be very angry because he had added Dara to his list.

"I don't care about that. What has she been doing all this time?"

Mr. Yogi was clearly unable to understand Dean's way of thinking. But he tried to explain the in-depth research he got. "She became the brains in designing the Smarthome Automation project which was just initiated by our competitor a few years ago. The project has not run until now. She has not worked there since a year ago."

"Where is she now?"

"She worked on a project with some of her friends. The project hasn't been launched yet, I don't have any information about the project she's working on right now."

"Then find out what she's doing."

Dean looked at the files Dara had worked on from her college days to work. He became more and more obsessed with hiring Dara with him after seeing her achievements.

"I want to know more about her about why she quit her job and everything about her. You worked where She worked, right?" Dean asked Leoni suddenly.

"Yes," replied Leoni, looking uninterested in talking about Dara.

"You can help Mr. Yogi get access to the information."

Mr. Yogi doesn't understand why Dean chose Dara. There is no great work that has been successfully made by Dara or maybe Mr. Yogi doesn't understand. All he knows is that Dara left her job before she could finish her project. Unlike Mr. Yogi, Dean clearly sees Dara's potential. He understands what Dara did before. Even just by looking at the topic of Dara's final project, it is easy for him to conclude that Dara has great ability. The more he saw what Dara had done in college, the more convinced he was that Dara is right for his big project.

Meanwhile Leoni seems to hate Dara even more. Again, Dara is considered to have taken what she wanted. This time it was the hardest she wanted to get, Dean's attention. She didn't like Dean wanting her.

Leoni and Mr. Yogi came out of Dean's room with both depressed faces. Mr. Yogi thinks if Dean really wants Dara, this will be a big obstacle for him. If for Dean there is no problem hiring Dara. Will it be easy for Dara to work with Dean? Mr. Yogi thought, not everyone doesn't have feelings like Dean. Which child would want to work for the person who killed their family. Mr. Yogi couldn't imagine what he had to do to make Dara work with Dean.

Dara contemplated her conversation with Tiara. Dara is still considering whether she needs to know more. Did she need to ask Laura about this. Dara doesn't know. But she felt very eager to know a lot about Dean. At least that's what she thought. Dara also does not know whether her current position is threatened or not. What is clear is Dara realizes that this is not only about her solidarity with her friends, but she was also afraid of him.

Dara doesn't know Dean. She didn't know what Dean could do either. But her logic just connects the pieces of information she has obtained incompletely. Mr. Reynold who helped her could get into trouble, what about her own fate? Dara doesn't want to imagine things she doesn't understand.

That Saturday morning, they gathered again to talk about their project. Dara has finished making the first version of her 4.245 Light Years project. Her friends were happy with the results she got. Especially Dara and Billy who worked on it directly.

"After this what?" asked Sofi looking excited.

"We need to deploy," said Dara.

"What's that?" Sofi asked again.

Dara was about to answer, but Leo cut her off. "Later, there will be a technical explanation. I want to explain the business flow first."

After they had a long discussion about many things about the implementation of their project, suddenly they were all surprised by Laura's presence. Leo and Sofi welcomed her happily, hoping that Laura could join their team.

"I'm so sorry, I can't. I still have a lot of work," said Laura, looking regretful. "I'm here to borrow Leo for a moment." Sofi and Tiara cleared their throats a bit. Leo also looked a little embarrassed, but Laura didn't seem to care.

Dara recalled her previous thoughts. She wanted to know more about Dean. When Leo finished speaking, she hinted at Tiara that she wanted to talk to Laura. Tiara immediately understood. "Lau, you have time after lunch? Can you meet me at my house?"

"Hmm.. okay, I can go to your house maybe around 1 o'clock, how about that?"

"Okay, thank you."

Tiara knows enough that Dara doesn't have a busy agenda at home. Dara is only busy working on her project and also cleaning the house, so Tiara immediately agrees.

After the meeting is over. Dara immediately said goodbye to go home, as well as Tiara. They met directly in front of Tiara's house. Dara doesn't want her other friends to know about her desire to find a lot of information about Dean. Because she didn't know exactly what her purpose was.

"Thank you," said Dara to Tiara who was already waiting in front of her house.

"Don't worry, come on in."

Dara and Tiara sat in the garden where they had spoken for the first time. After small talk about various things, Laura finally came and was quite surprised by Dara's presence as well.

"I'm Dara, we've met at Sofi's house."

"Hello, I'm Laura." It seems Laura doesn't really remember Dara. But the two of them didn't mind it.

After making small talk for a while, Dara was finally able to speak her mind. "I want to ask. What do you know about Dean?"

Laura seemed to consider it before answering, "Not much actually. I know him because his family gives Leo a lot of trouble."

Tiara also seemed interested in the information. She also doesn't know much detail about Leo who is quite secretive about his personal matters.

"What did they do to Leo?" Dara asked again.

Laura recounts how Leo was fired from his job and was subtle terrorized. "Ever since Leo quit his job, he seems quite traumatized and doesn't want to work for someone else anymore. In the end he decided to just take care of his workshop."

"Until now they still bother Leo?"

"Last I heard it was," replied Laura, looking sad. "But Leo is quite persistent too. He gave Dean a small threat. He was looking for a lot of information about the people involved in cheating him. Then send the information he got to Dean. He's quite brave."

"Isn't that dangerous?" asked Tiara. "Dean can get even more vengeful."

"I don't know, Leo said, Dean is a hard person to understand. Leo just wanted his Workshop. He doesn't really care about anything other than that."

"But Leo was once a victim, he was fired because of Dean right?" Tiara asked again, it was clear that she was getting annoyed.

"It happened while Dean was still in prison. Leo thinks it's his dad."

Dara increasingly does not understand Dean's way of thinking. She had a hard time piecing together the pieces of information she had obtained.

"Why does he want Leo's workshop?" Dara asked innocently.

"That's what we all don't understand. Leo doesn't know them personally. I don't know what Dean's plan is."

"My mother once said that her restaurant holds a lot of memories. But Dean didn't seem to care. He doesn't care if people get hurt, he still wants to do what he wants to do. Either way. Even if it hurts other people." Tiara was clearly holding back her anger.

"He's not as dirty as his father is," Laura continued. "His father can do anything. Dean is more clean playing, but still annoying. He uses his power to get anything. As if he could exchange anything for money. He did not commit slander like his father often did. But don't think too positively about Dean, if people don't want to follow his wishes, he can also prevent us from doing what we want."

Dara lowered her head languidly listening to Laura's explanation. She was increasingly clueless and could not predict what might happen to her. Although she was a little relieved to know that Dean's ways weren't as dirty as his father's. But still, Dara feels that her relationship with Dean might bring problems to her life.

Without Dean knowing Leoni had a plan behind him. Leoni has been secretly contacting Dean's mother who lives overseas. Leoni is quite close to know Dean's family personally. She knows that Dean's family is still holding a grudge against Dara's family who has put their child in prison.

Even though Dean's parents had forgotten about the accident, but because Leoni had provoked Dean's mother, she was finally wanted to do something to Dara. So far, their family has been silent. They still have a conscience when they see Dara lose many members of her family. After her father got Nemma fired from her job, they never bothered Dara's family again. Moreover, Dean asked his parents not to disturb Dara's family. Dean soon found out about his mother's return. Dean wasn't suspicious of Leoni at all.

"I don't want to talk about my mother," he said firmly. "I have a new assignment for you. Get access to contact Prof. John."

"Prof. John?" asked Leoni looking clueless.

Dean threw a few sheets of paper containing information about Prof. John to Leoni. His mood was still out of control because of the news of his mother's arrival. Leoni tidied the papers and looked at Prof. John's profile details.

"I want to be his student next year. He is very selective in choosing student."

Leoni was surprised by what Dean said. That means Dean will be leaving soon. She didn't want Dean to go anywhere.

"Does that mean you will leave Indonesia next year?"

"I can manage my company remotely," Dean replied lightly.

Leoni looked disappointed but she didn't dare to say anything.

"I really want to study with Prof. John. He is the most skilled person in the field of automation. Make this task a priority," said Dean again firmly.

"Fine, I understand."

Leoni came out of Dean's room with an angry face. Mr. Didi had time to greet her when they passed in front of Dean's room, but Leoni didn't really care. She struggled to get where she is now. Leoni finally has a high position, after it was always Dara who got the trust. She always loses to Dara. After she managed to figure out how to get rid of Dara again this time, she was faced with the fact that she might have a hard time seeing Dean if he left.

Leoni was devastated. She didn't even know if Dara could be removed or not. She knew that if Dean had a desire he would continue to pursue it. She wasn't one of Dean's wishes. Leoni felt that she was nothing in Dean's eyes. She crumpled the papers she brought while shedding a few tears. Her heart was angry.

Dean's mother arrived in Indonesia. Unbeknownst to Dean, Leoni met her and told her the details of the information she knew about Dara with slanderous spices so that Dean's mother would hold a grudge against Dara even more. Leoni said that Dara was trying to stop Dean's dream, while Dara had been living happily and was satisfied with her life. She was happy sent Dean to prison.

Through information from Mr. Yogi, Leoni easily find out where Dara is. She knows that Dara often gathers with her friends in the empty hall belonging to Mrs. Ussy in the Durian cluster. It is not difficult for Dean's mother to know the location of the place, she has many memories in the villa they have there.

Without thinking, Dean's mother approached Dara who was parking her bicycle in front of the hall. She just slapped Dara without saying a word. She was about to do it again, but Leo came to stop her. Dara's mother who came with many bodyguards immediately surrounded them. But Leo, who was alone, was not afraid to see them.

Dara did not have time to feel the pain in her cheek. She was quite confused by what had suddenly happened to her. She didn't even know who Dean's mother is at all. But she recognized Leoni. She saw Leoni standing not far from her. Leoni seemed to be watching her with a familiar expression on her face.

"You're the one who destroyed my son," said Dean's mother with emotion.

"Who are you?" Leo asked looking unable to contain his emotions. Dara who is used to being oppressed, is now starting to straighten her body. She didn't want to lose this time.

"You don't know who I am? Ask her what she has done to my family!" she said again while pointing at Dara impolitely.

Leo glanced at Dara. Dara showed a clueless expression then said, "I don't know who you are."

Dara's mother looks more and more annoyed. She was about to slap Dara again, but she had a hard time doing it this time because there was Leo among them.

"You've put my son in jail. You forgot? Now you want to ruin his life again?"

Before Dara could answer, Sofi, Tiara, and Billy walked towards them.

"What is it?" asked Tiara firmly.

"This person slapped Dara suddenly," Leo replied.

Sofi looked displeased and looked at Dean's mother sharply.

"If you don't go now, I can report it to the police," Billy said firmly.

Dean's mother looked like she was about to fight back, but she realized she was in a weak position. Her actions were stupid, she didn't think long about what she was doing. Without another word, she left. Leoni looked at Dara before getting into her car with the other bodyguards. Meanwhile Dara could only look at them in disbelief at what had just happened to her.
