A year have passed and people at school have started to move on without Edmond. "Life goes on" as the saying goes. While everyone went on with their merry ways, good times with Edmond still flood Amy's thoughts. It always makes her smile whenever she pass by the school entrance stairways, the lab. Happy memories always comes back to mind.
Kevin sometimes caught her smiling by herself. It felt good seeing her happy after what had happened. It may have not been a happy ever after but at least it was for everyone's best.

Edmond have also started a new life in Australia. He accepted reality and have moved on with life. His father did not join them and stayed to continue his business. They might be living apart but at least his parents did not divorce. Their love for family and each other is still a priority despite the ego. Communication did not stop anyway.
Edmond continued university and became a different person. He does not have the same mischievous character as before. Although he made new friends, he became quiet and introvert. He does not associate as much unlike as before.
Reaching the university stairways, he paused at the bottom. When he looked up, a familiar scenario came to his mind. Flashback of how anxious Amy was trying to get down the stairs. The scene of her contemplating on how to go down without attracting attention. Edmond smiled as those funny moments flooded his thoughts.

He sat at the bench outside the shop where his mom and sister where shopping for women clothes. A 4-year old girl sat beside him eating an ice cream. It was slowly melting on her hand. He remembered how Amy attempted to lick the melting ice cream and got caught by the child's mom. He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and wipe the dripping ice cream on the girl's hand. He smiled at the memory and to the child.
He looked at his watch, it was 4 o'clock. It was Amy's favorite time of the day. He looked at the sky and realized something.....He missed her a lot.
