Farewell!

Dinala nila sa secret lab na pagmamay ari nina Sophia ang mama ni Leo but the doctor said she's already DOA, nakita pa kasi nila Rain na gumalaw ang daliri nito pero talagang wala na palang pag asa.

Kinaumagahan noon ay inilagak na nila ang labi ni Ms. Lily Perez sa isang private funeral service at plano ni Leo na ilibing kaagad ang ina kinahapunan.

"I'm sorry buddy!"

Ani Rain na habang mahinang tinapik sa balikat si Leo, tinitigan naman ng huli ang nakababatang kapatid. 

Leo look up upang pigilan ang pagluha.

"She really missed my brother—"

"I know!"

Rain smiled ng maalala niya kung paano sya titigan ng ginang noong magkasama sila nito.

"I remembered how exactly she looked at me, na para bang nakikita niya sa akin ang iyong kapatid. I'm sorry for being a pain in you ass, kung alam ko lang—"

"You've been good enough to me, It's me who keep my distance to you—Tsssk!"

Anitong biglang natigil dahil sa pagpatak na naman ng mga luha nito.

"I'm thankful you were with her that time na wala ako, she was so happy. Ikaw yong tumupad sa pangako na hindi ko nagawa sa kanya!"

"Let's give her a birthday party, before we send her off!"

Suhestion ni Rain sa kanya, Leo stared at him blankly. Napahagulgol na naman ito, he promised something to his mom na hindi man lang niya natupad.

"Alright!"

Pagsang ayon ni Leo kay Rain.

Habang busy ang dalawa lalaki, Sophia and Glaiza were having a discussion. 

"Thank you for bringing Rain, back to—"

"Next time if you're going to rescue me send someone—"

Napahinto si Glaiza habang tinitigan si Sophia at bahagyang natawa.

"I'm not gonna die with something else mamamatay naman ako sa ataki sa puso!"

"Rain might be reckless but he still reliable!"

Napatango si Glaiza ng marinig ito, indeed Rain is a bit reckless but he's stubborn at kapag determinado itong gawin ang isang bagay, he's going to do it no matter what!

"What are you going to do with your brother?"

Napalingon bigla si Glaiza sa kanya, because of what happened nakalimutan na niya ang tungkol sa kapatid.

"What else could I do? He's no longer with us!"

"That's right! don't think of getting your revenge, just stay away from this—"

"That's not necessary!"

Glaiza snap.

"We have to take him heads on this time, hindi ko talaga mapapalampas ang ginawa niya sa kapatid ko!"

Saglit na napatitig sa kanya si Sophia, but Glaiza's expression is really determine and all she can do is support her.

"Alright then—just stay alive no matter what, We still have a score to settle after this darn thing gets over!"

"Aye!—nga pala, I'm just curious how did you knew I was fake?"

Ani Glaiza ng maalala ang bagay na iyon.

"You were careless back then, First dinala mo ako sa fake na bahay ninyo, I noticed that as a family you supposed to have a family photos pero wala akong makita ni isa but I just ignored it, it was a family matter after all. Next, your two fake brothers. They seems to be aloof, na para bang ibang tao ang kasama nila. Though Glaiza's parents were really hostile towards you still, they are so cautious. The real Glaiza must be very kind and you give them justice for it!"

"But still how did you noticed it?"

Nagtataka paring tanong ni Glaiza sa kanya.

"I ignored all those things before, but when you become desperate you drastically changed. You become more suspicious, then that incident with Catherine, you could've been dead if you did not used your card against her, Am I right?"

"I don't have a choice by that time, but looking back on in If I didn't reveal myself to her—"

"You still end up being dead"

Sophia snap.

"As Leo stop me from rescuing you. He already knew about your real identity by that time, so in order to protect both of us, he did what he did. Last, you used a dead person as a cover up, Glaiza Mendez was actually a scholar in our company, M&M groups!"

"Oh right!"

Napangangang pag amin ni Glaiza.

"I was really desperate to find you, so I neglected a very important details—I mean, I never expect it was you all along!"

"You been busy looking for me when I'm just right under your nose—"

Bahagyang natawa si Sophia sa kanyang sinabi.

"So by the time your grade drastically drops, I called M&M to give you a chance but they said that Glaiza Mendez was already dead a year ago, saka doon ko lang nalaman na transferee ka pala! So I connected all the dots—and Rain was always suspicious with you"

"But how you still managed to get along with me, as if nothing happened?"

Sophia stared at her at smiled. 

"We were friends, we maybe stands in the opposite side but still I know you don't have a choice, besides alam ko namang ginagamit ka lang ni Mondejar sa maling paraan, Agent 10 or should I call you Valerie Mondejar!"

"Mondejar my ass!"

Di mapigilang mapangiwi ni Glaiza,

"I really don't know who I am, it's making me confused. Bry and I were orphans when one of Mondejar's men kidnapped us, ginawa nila kaming taga limos sa daan, mandurukot at tulak. Mondejar saw me fighting with one of the boys in the turf, he probably saw the devil in me and took me under his wing—"

Glaiza laughed bitterly ng maalala ang panahon na iyon, she really wish time stood still kung saan malaya pa sya, she never thought of becoming like this even in her wildest dreams.

"Mondejar was good. .to good to be true— he educates me but then everything change when he needed me as his pawn and took Bry as his hostage, I suspected na may ginawa sila kay Bry to control me, my brother suddenly become sick and they confined him in the hospital, simula noon madalang nalang pag nagkikita kami!"

"He died in overdose—your brother was not sick!"

Napahagulgol nalang si Glaiza ng marinig ang sinabi ni Sophia, they never really talked about it before. Sophia just informed her that Bry died long time back pero hindi niya sinabi ang rason.

"I'm really going to kill that bastard—"

"Leave that to us, he needs to pay for everything he has done! Mr. Ybañez will going to deal with him, at pag natapos na ang lahat ng ito, starts with a new life. Balita ko top notch ka pala—"

Glaiza smiled.

"I manage to maintain a good grades dahil gusto ko noon ilayo si Bry kay Mondejar but it was already too late!"

"It's never been too late!"

Sophia said in a matter of fact tone, talaga namang hindi pa huli ang lahat para sa kanila ni Glaiza. 

"Nga pala, the three of you might be expelled—"

"Hell yes!" 

Di niya mapigilang matawa.

"This time my maternal grandfather will surely going to kill me, I made a promise to him and ended up breaking it again and again!"

After they talked, the two of them joined with the boys. Nagulat pa silang dalawa ng makitang may dalang cake and candles si Lance.

"We decided to give her a birthday—before we send her off!"

Said Rain, when he saw the confusion in their faces.

"Thank you Val, for giving my gift to her—"

"Val? —Tssssk seriously?!"

Glaiza rolled her eyes and hissed.

"I'm way older than you. .brat! Give some respect to me— but yes your welcome!"

Anyang akmang babatukan ang lalaki na agad namang isinangga ni Rain ang braso sa may batok.

"We will proceed as plan, we're going to send my mom off this afternoon!"

Lahat sila ay sabay sabay na napatango, Sophia secretly throw a glance towards Rain na nakaupo sa harapan, the four of them kneel down and offered their prayers.

In that afternoon, inilagak na nila sa final resting place si Ms. Lily Perez ang tunay na ina Rain, only five of them were there dahil ayaw ni Leo na ipaalam sa buong mundo ang nangyari sa kanyang mama.

"Tell we meet again, Ma!"

Leo whispered.

"Farewell!"

The four of them said in chorus.

Right after the funeral, Lance recieved a call from the unknown number then later give the phone to Leo

"Condolence for your lost!"

"Mr. Y—how did you know?"

Nagtatakang tanong ni Leo sa kausap.

"You knew how our network, works!"

"Yes sir!"

Pagsang ayon ni Leo, the one he's talking is not just any man, after all. There was a long silence sa pagitan nila.

Leo was snap back into the present, mula sa kanyang pag muni-muni nang marinig niya ang pagbuntonghinga ng kausap.

"I'm going to open the council and this time it would be the end—are you ready!"

"Yes sir!"

Leo answered without hesitation, 

Right! This time will be a right time to end his father foolish ambition. Leo thought to himself.

"Alright then!"

The man in the other line said before cutting it off.
