"He's doing it” Annabelle squealed

"Shh" I hushed her

On a beautiful Sunday morning, we are witnessing the ordination of Mr. Henderson and the other seminarians. Yes. You read that right.

When he sent me a message on Wednesday night to come over. I went over to his house to talk. I actually hoped he chose me but once again I was wrong.

He told me his mother's wish was dear to him and he made her a promise and that there was nothing really deep between us. It could just be a mere attraction so it wasn't enough for him to give up his lifelong dream. What he said was absolutely true. I completely understood. We hugged and parted ways.

"You alright?" Jomar asked me

I smiled

"Yes"

For some odd reason, I felt at peace. I felt free. John told me they are sending him to Russia next week on his first mission. He promised to keep in touch. I will remember him in all my prayers

When the bishop anointed John with the oils, everyone cheered on top of their voices

It was a moment of joy.

It was a moment of celebration

Who am I to try and take this away from him?

He turned from the altar and faced the crowd. We made eye contact immediately

"Thank you" he mouthed

I winked at him

I'll grow up one day, get married and have kids. I may have a son, yeah?
