Chapter 42

ALESSIA

Picking up my phone, I went through my contact list. Clicking Micah's number, I sent a message.

A- hey can you meet me at the park across the coffee shop? I really need to talk to you?

M- yeah sure. Is everything ok?

A- yeah, just left my doctor's appointment. I found out something and i need to tell you.

M- I'm on my way.

I walked outside and Jake, Thomas, and 2 other guys I don't know we're standing there. The looked confused as to why they were here. I'm guessing Jaxson didn't tell them.

"What's going on, Jaxson just told us you wanted us to go somewhere with you?" Jake said.

"Yeah, I'm meeting Micah at the park? I need to speak with him regarding some things, you 4 are comimg to make sure I don't hurt him too bad." I said. The other 2 guys looked at me like a was crazy.

"Where is your baseball bat?" Thomas asked.

"Oh, it's in my car. I'm hoping I won't need it." I said with a smile while Jake and Thomas rolled their eyes.

I got in the passenger seat while Jake drove and the other 3 were in the backseat. As we were pulling out, Jaxson came outside and watched us leave.  The look on his face, he wasn't happy about this but he doesn't control me. I'm not stupid. I'm meeting Micah in a public place with plenty of humans around. He wouldn't be stupid to try something.

Pulling up at the park, Micah was sitting at the picnic table by myself. I told everyone to stay in the car. Against their wishes, they did.

I walked up to the table and sat down across from him. He looked at me confused. I know he saw me get out of the passenger seat so he knows there is someone else in the car.

"What's going on?" He asked

"I asked you here because we need to talk. I have some things to tell you and also ask you. Micah I need you to be honest with me?" I said and he nodded.

"Becca and her friend Amy were banished from Jaxson's pack. Apparently she is pregnant but he is not the father." I said and he tensed up.

"This is the first time I'm hearing about this." He said

"She claims either you or James is the father. You told me when we first met that you haven't seen Becca in 2 years so how could you possibly be the father?" I said. I was irritated.

"It was one night, I was drunk and I walked in on James and her having sex. After he left, we exchanged words. My wolf was in a possessive frenzy and when she touched me, my wolf took over. He misses his mate. He's been quiet most of the time since she rejected us so when she was right in front of me, naked I couldn't help myself." He whispered the last part out.

"Micah what I don't get is that you lied to me. I told you about Jaxson and me and you straight up lied. For what though, I couldn't have been mad, we weren't together."

"I dont know why I lied. Maybe I was ashamed."

"How did you find out that who my mate was?" I asked and he tensed up again.

"Becca. She told James. She knew i had an attraction to you, she told me before it came out when it was just her suspicion. She thought if I could keep you away from Jaxson, her relationship would be safe."

"Wait. You said she told James but then you said that she told you. So you have been in contact with her? Was this the plan? You and Becca trying to make sure we stay apart?!" I yelled.

"Alessia it's not like that! Yes it would work out for both Becca and I but I didn't set out to do anything. There was no plan, no teaming up. She may have done all that stuff but I had nothing to do with it." He was panicking.

"But you could have come to me and told me, you could have saved me from dealing with so much. Do you know every chance Becca got, she through it in my face? Has Jaxson ever flaunted being with Becca in your face?" He dropped his head and held his hands over his face.

"Are you trying to start a war?" I stared at him, watching his every move. His breath held and he flinched. I closed my eyes.

"Why Micah? Why are you doing this?"

"Why, you wanna know why? All my life it's always been about Jaxson. Growing up my father was obsessed with his family. With him. Why couldn't I be strong like him? How could I let him steal my mate? And now you, you think I can't smell your pregnant? Your going to go back to him!" He yelled. He stood up and started pacing.

"Don't you dare blame this on me! From what I saw, you have been planning this for a while!" I yelled back. I got up. Jake and the others got out of the car. They were ready to step in if anything happened.

"Your ready to kill people that I care about for what? To make your daddy proud? To make yourself feel good." I whispered yelled at him.

"Remember those same people betrayed you." He said. He had this dark look in his eyes.

"Yes they did, but I don't wish no harm on them. If you care about me at all, you will stop this." I said. I looked him straight in the eye.

"Are you going back to him.." I cut him off.

"You will not put this on me. You will not blackmail me or make me feel guilty.  From what I'm told, your pack can't beat him so what's the point?"  I asked hoping he will say something.

He started laughing. My pack is stronger then they think and I have 2 other packs willing to help when the time comes." He said with such pride.

"I already told you that he didn't know Becca was your mate so if he didn't know, what has he done to you? I don't understand Micah? He's the father of my children, I don't want to see him hurt. I don't want to see any innocent people hurt." When I said children his eyes widened.

I went to walk away and Micah grabbed  my arm tight pulling me back towards him. I punched him in the throat causing him to gasp for air which was enough to pull away. I kneed him in the groin.

His eyes turned black and I knew I pissed his off. Being in public was the only thing that kept him from shifting into his wolf.

"Hey Micah, how do you think your gonna beat Jaxson when you just got your ass handed to you by me." I said while walking towards the car.

I was standing behind Jake when Micah was coming in our direction. He got in Jake's face, he whispered something I could hear but everyone else tensed up so I'm sure they heard.

I reached the the car and pulled out my bat, well technically its Jessica's bat but I stole it. Things were getting heated between them.

I swung the bat and hit the windshield. Micah's attention immediately went to me. I just hit his precious baby, a car that is worth too damn much. I don't understand why someone would pay that much for a car, there is so much more you could spend your money on. All 4 guys blocked Micah from me while I hit it over and over busting out windows, pitting dents in the doors, smashing lights.  He was shaking uncontrollably desperately trying to control his wolf. It took everything Jake and them had to hold him back.

"Remember this morning, I told you what I did to Jaxson and you thought it was funny, haha Micah. You betrayed me like the rest of them!" I yelled.

I was causing a scene, people were watching everything go on. Micah couldn't do nothing.

Getting back in the car, Micah stepped back stared at his priced possession. His hands were on his hips and he looked broken hearted.

As we drove off, the car was silent. They all sat there facing forward. I guess I can see why, I did look a little crazy.

As we got closer to the house, I reached in my bra and pulled out my phone.

I asked Jake what his email was. He gave it to me and I sent him the recording of my entire conversation with Micah.

Pulling up to the house everyone came running out. Alena being the first one to reach me. She gave me a big hug and kiss.

"Are you ok?" Jaxson asked.

"I'm exhausted. I just want to lay down. Can you show me where the cottage is?"

We pulled out of the driveway and made a quick turn to the right on a dirt road. I see Jaxson's house passing my right. We get to the tree line and just inside there is a cute little cottage.

"While you were gone, I had everything set up for you. All your stuff and food was brought over. The linens have been changed and everything was cleaned. If you need anything, let me know." Jaxson said.

We got out of the car and he unlocked the door. Putting the bags that I had in my car over his shoulder. He showed me around. The downstairs had a kitchen, living room,bathroom and a guest room.

We went upstairs and there were 3 bedrooms. I opened the first door and it was just a bed. The second room was decorated for Alena.  Her toys were off to the side and her clothes her put away. A bathroom was in the hallway. The third room I opened was the master bedroom. It had a huge king size bed and glass windows covering one wall. I looked out and it was facing the garden in the back of Jaxson's yard. You could see the house but at a good distance. There was a master bathroom.

"This belonged to my mother. My father had it made for her a couple years before she died. She would come here all the time to get away." He said while putting my bag on the bed. Saying goodnight, he left.
