Listening to the plan, many of the new cadets were dumbfounded. Using a Titan against the Titans, what kind of inconceivable thing is that. They didn't have a choice so they could only follow the plan.
It was simple, use Eren to carry a boulder and block the hole. All they had to do is defend him from incoming Titans. Simple enough they thought.
...
After dispersing, Aria quickly slotted herself with the leading group to help defend Eren against any Titans. She didn't really want to do this, but she got recognised as one of the better ones in the group and got selected anyway.
It didn't take long until they saw a large 15 metre Titan carrying a boulder around half the height of him and 5x times heavier. One of the Officers screamed "Protect Eren Yeager!" Everyone shouted in acknowledgement and flew off to fight the Titans coming from outside the wall.
While people killed the mindless Titans, Eren was carrying the boulder under the eye of the other Titan Shifters. Eren had no idea what he got into when he revealed his Titan, but he just kept carrying the boulder to block the hole like his life depended on it.
In the front, the Titans from the hole didn't seem to stop coming. A lot of the cadets couldn't do much so they had to fight. Many died under the eyes of their friends and comrades, but they didn't have time to pray for the fallen.
Aria watched helplessly, she couldn't save all of them at once but saving a few fortunate ones she was able to do. Living in this kind of lifestyle made her calm in those moments and not panic like most people. She had seen her fathers death when she couldn't even crawl.
While killing Titans, the sense of dread came back to her. It was getting bigger, but she didn't know what it was. However, she ignored it for now, all she had to do is cut a path through the Titans for Eren to get past.
When Eren was getting closer, Aria saw Bertholdt land on top of the wall looking down. She frowned and didn't know what he would do. It seemed like he was attentively looking at Eren while focusing on something.
Seeing the look in his face, Aria's mouth gaped wide "don't tell me he's going to do it again. He won't even be able to feed himself if he uses it 2 times in a day."
She hesitated if she should stop him or not, but not doing anything felt like the right thing to do. Although it may result in many more deaths, the ending would be better than the beginning.
She finally killed the last Titans that had come out of the broken wall and sat on top of a roof top to watch what would happen. She looked down once again towards her blades and saw them blunt. She could only sigh and discard them on the roof and insert another set.
She would love to help the people inside the wall create better equipment, but the people from the top and the church would hunt her down and kill her. She definitely didn't want that.
Seemingly hours later, the large boulder had been dropped into hole to block. Seeing this, the cadets shouted with great might.
"We did it, Humanity will survive!" Others began chatting with laughter and hugging each other. Aria looked at the place were Bertholdt stood, but he disappeared.
Aria suddenly had her sixth sense go of and got startled, the colossal Titan had appeared again. Without wasting a second, the colossal Titan kicked in the wall without hesitation.
Hundreds of smaller rock fragments flew everywhere crushing cadets and killing them in an instant. All most all of the cadets that had been in the front line had died, it was horrible. It was basically raining blood, like the Lord wanted this day to be engraved into the survivors of this tragedy.
Aria was wide eyed, she looked around and found all of the people that had been with her at the table not even 10 minutes ago had died. Seeing their happy faces, she couldn't forget. It was like a nightmare, a never ending nightmare were people close to her died. This was why she made a promise to keep Annie safe with everything she had.
Aria was in a daze and didn't notice a football sized rock fly towards her, It hit her with full force and sent her flying back. Hitting the side of a house, she was forcefully thrown through the house. Being thrown through a house was a new experience to be sure. As she got up, blood slowly came out of her mouth. She forgot about this and quickly focused to know what happened to her. Although her cultivation was at the peak of the world realm, she could still feel the pain of getting hit with a rock at subsonic speeds. Luckily her body structure was solid so none of her bones broke.
Now focused, she saw two more rocks fly at her from random directions. She snorted and gathered Qi around her body and lowered her stance. When the rock was in range, she shot her right fist out and complete destroyed the rock ball. The second one was also easily picked off and destroyed by a kick from her.
She sighed and thought about something. 'I haven't checked my stats yet, let's have a look'

Aria heard a feminine voice that had be absent for a long time.
'Hello master, I have some gifts from the system.'
"Gifts?"
'Yes, as you have killed 20 Titans the system has awarded you'
"So, what do I get?"
A small screen popped up in front of her and showed what she had won.
5 Titans- Blade skill: 4 Heavens Cut.
10 Titans- Martial skill: Cosmic Fist
15 Titans- Technique book: Magic for dummies (x2)
20 Titans- Special Ring of holding
She dismissed the tab and was in no mood to smile at the rewards. She saw the only few cadets run for their lives, by now all of the citizens have evacuated so the soldiers could go back. She looked around for Bertholdt, but there was no sign of him or Reiner. Annie was also no where to be seen.
